Beau Charbonneau is a 2008 1B/P with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX, who attends College Park HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Charbonneau has an extra large frame with good present strength throughout his body. Defensively he has nice footwork around the first base bag getting in position to make the plays. He has soft hands and he showed solid arm strength across the diamond. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a very nice swing. Charbonneau has plus bat speed, through the zone, and he gets great leverage at contact producing raw power. He gets extension through the ball and can drive it deep. He has the ability to be a middle of the order run producer with upside. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with arm speed. He keeps the ball down with a sinking fastball in the mid-70s. He did not allow a hit in his two innings of work.
