Scott Woodrey is a 2007 SS/3B with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Lighthouse Point FL, who attends Cardinal Gibbons HS. He has a medium athletic build. Woodrey showed smooth, easy actions in the infield and a strong accurate arm. His challenge right now to play at the next level is to improve his quickness and overall speed; he's a 7.70 runner who moves spot to spot on defense. His tools actually profile best as a catcher, although we don't know if he's ever played that position. Offensively, Woodrey hits out of a controlled, balanced approach with a simple line drive oriented swing. He shows a good selective batting eye and can move the ball around to all fields. With some more strength those line drives could be reaching the alleys in the future. Woodrey is also a very good student.
