RD, can you see why we've been making such a fuss about Moore?

Well, the Beavs are going to get the 1 win they needed, rubber match tomorrow. Hopefully the Beav bats stay like this (which is normal), and the Ducks bats stay like this (which is normal).

RD, do you notice how none of the Beavs are going...EAT IT! EAT IT! EAT IT! or Look stats are legit...it has something to do with class...and because this isn't a new thing for us, we've won before. Now, good game, and I look forward to tomorrow.

Bob told me Parker said Duck players went on blogs yesterday saying they were by far the best team in the state they just didn't play like it yesterday...I guess Horton doesn't preach discipline. Thanks for the bulletin board material morons...

He looks like a weirdo. Nothing impressive, Bob and I don't know if his stuff is really nasty or he just had no control and everyone is guessing where the pitch ends up...

He's a duck...so I'd expect no humility, probably some excuse about how his track team wins national championships, and then some comment about how he's proud that his team scored 2 runs today because it means they are going to hit well next week.

Or he'll disappear hoping that the Ducks can win on Tuesday at Goss so he can try to talk some smack on how his team won 3-2 despite 2 of those games being mid-week affairs.

Oregon Live:

"After their 3-0 victory Friday, the Ducks were thoroughly outplayed in the final two games of the series, leaving no doubt about who belongs atop the Pac-12. In less than 24 hours, the Beavers handed the Ducks their two worst losses of the season, outscoring Oregon 21-2. The Beavers, who managed just two hits off Tommy Thorpe on Friday, had 29 combined hits on Saturday and Sunday.

"To a man, we came apart at the seams," Horton said. "... It's a hard thing to say, but they're the best team in the conference. Sometimes you just gotta call 'em as you see 'em.""

According to Boyd's World Ducks need to win out to earn a top 8 RPI:

Top 8:

0 home wins, 4 road wins

If they lose Tuesday they would need to sweep Utah because a single loss to Utah would drop the Ducks 2 spots in the RPI. The Tuesday game is less important because a loss to the Beavs who will have a top 3 RPI won't hurt as bad.

They need to sweep Utah. My guess is they will be RPI 8 tomorrow, if they lose to the Beavs on Tuesday they will be 8 or 9 going into the weekend. A single loss to a team like Utah with such a low RPI will drop the Ducks to 9-10 even if they take the other 2. (This is all assuming nothing out of the sorts happens to any teams above them)

I do agree that Horton has pull, but, I think the committee is going to have a hard time handing a National Seed to a team with 10 RPI when another team less than 50 miles away (in a state without a bunch of teams...this isn't Texas, California, Florida, or the Carolinas) is awarded a national seed.
