For ASU we lost to the draft:
2012 Team
1B
2B
SS
CF
C X 2
Friday night pitcher (Trevor Allen should fill those shoes well)
Relief pitcher
Closing Pitcher

HS Comits
C
3B
RHP x 3

Reloading: Non drafted HS Comits
C
3B
RHP x 5
LHP x 2
OF x 5
1B
SS

What effect did the draft have on your team?

FYI
Stanford should be very pleased to have Mark Appel back for his senior season.

Georgia Tech
2012 Drafted
1B Jake Davies (Sr) - Gone
RHP Luke Bard (Sup 1st) - Gone (Didnt even pitch last year due to arm issues)
RF Brandon Thomas (4th) - Back to GT
RHP Buck Farmer (15th) - Back to GT
CF Kyle Wren (20ish) - Back to GT
HS - SS Matt Gonzalez (11th) - To GT

HS - 1B Cole Miller (undrafted) - HUGE BAT

2013 GT Team
We only lost our 1B to the draft/graduation. Entire team returns plus we add 2 pitchers who were hurt last year who will be huge additions.

RHP Matt Grimes (4th round 2010) - Hurt his shoulder early 2012 and didnt pitch for 90% of the season. Fully healthy now and will be a big addition to our weekend staff.
RHP Deandre Smelter (10th Round 2010) - Also had Shoulder/Arm issues and everything is clear now and has been throwing 95mph bullpen sessions at GT this summer. Will most likely be our closer.

RHP Cole Pitts (19th round 2011) - Freshmen last year and jumped into the Saturday starter role as our arms were tore up. Pitched well down teh stretch so counting on him to develop more heading into 2013.

We should be preseason top 10. If not the writers are retarded. This team last year was depleted with injuries and still won the ACC Title beating #1 FSU, #9 UVA, Top 25 Clemson, and #15 Miami for the title.

Excited for the upcoming season.
