WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Eight Pac-12 baseball players have been named to Baseball America’s 2012 College All-America team, as announced by Baseball America on Friday.
UCLA junior outfielder Jeff Gelalich has been named to the first team.
The following have been named to the second team: ARIZONA junior shortstop Alex Mejia, OREGON STATE freshman outfielder Michael Conforto, STANFORD junior RHP Mark Appel, Arizona junior RHP Kurt Heyer and OREGON sophomore RHP Jimmie Sherfy.
Stanford junior utility player Stephen Piscotty and UCLA sophomore RHP Adam Plutko are third-team honorees.
