CB Daily is reporting that Trent Petrie was relieved of his duties, effective immediately. Petrie was an assistant for the last four years, working with position players, and Texas Tech’s recruiting coordinator the past three years.

Yeah. Not sure why they're "reporting" it, as it was released by Texas Tech a day before they put that out there. Anyway, very interesting timing for Coach Dan Spencer and his staff to make a change ..... There had to be something to it, as I saw Coach Petrie at the WWBA 17U in Marietta, Ga., earlier this summer.
I'll touch base with TT sources on some potential candidates to replace Petrie.
