As I first alluded to a couple of weeks ago, Erstad is the hire .... I have more on potential assistants on the premium board.

I think Erstad is a great hire...especially since he has the locals and donors support as a football and baseball player...As a former Major leaguer and relatively young coach, he has the opportunity to recruit better in Big 10 territory and bring those recruits over to Nebraska..Can he coach? Remains to be seen...I think recruiting is going to be his strong suit and all he has to have in the Big 10 to compete is better players to win conference titles... at least for the short term...until he masters teh coaching part.
