I have no animosity toward Louisville, though I have often felt they got far more credit nationally for what they had done. But I am pretty surprised at how they have fallen even within the weak Big East. Case in point: Tonight they lose in 18 innings to Seton Hall, 1-0. Seton Hall had 14 hits; Louisville had 4.

Four hits over 18 innings, and you lose 1-0. That has to hurt.

Louisville loses 1-0 again, this time in 9 innings, with Seton Hall scoring in the bottom of the 9th.

Pretty disappointing season for the Cardinals. Spoke with one of their coaches a couple of weeks ago who simply just described the season as "frustrating". For UL, when it's one thing, the other is doing well, and vice versa each night.

And Louisville gets swept by Seton Hall falling 9-4....Horrible for Cards and that sound you just heard was their season being flushed right down the toilet.
