Do you miss the PING or are you happier with the CLICK?

Abolish the DH, bring in the wood bats, schedule doubleheaders!

I like the new bats so far. We put up 12 runs with them. I don't think we will know for sure until we start playing good competition. Today has been a pitcher's duel

I don't necessarily mind the new bats or the 'click' sound. Seems more like pure baseball and a lot closer to the crack at the big league level. Leave the 'PING' to the Little League World Series and the kids.

Let's get those lumber to DI baseball. For now the CLICK is good.

I guess I'll play Devil's advocate and say that I miss the ping. To me, there are few better sounds that when a ball is squared up on an aluminum bat. I go back to watching guys like Gordon Beckham and Pedro Alvarez. The ping off their bats was like nothing I had ever heard.
All that being said, the new bats don't really bother me all that much.

Bring back the old bats! Having played Div 1 baseball, I know the players are not happy with these new bats. Its bringing college ball one step closer to the much slower & boring MLB game. College ball is supposed to be unique & everything that pro sports are not!

The change in bats didn't bother me at the games I attended this weekend. It was 75 degrees, I was sitting behind home plate, and my team won. After this winter, it's time for baseball, ping or no ping.

I like the new bats. Baseball was never meant to be a power-only game, IMO. It's a game of strategy and outslugging the other team was too common with the old bats (especially the late 90s bats). I'd love to switch to wood although that may be a little TOO much for this level and make it too pitching-dominated.
