Yesterday the Hogs vs Wichita State game set a Kansas State all time record for attendance. 2500 people. That's capacity plus standing room only. So many fans couldn't go because of the small stadium. Could you imagine though, two road teams in your stadium breaking your all time attendance record?

If the Hogs make it to play KSU it'll be broken again.

I saw a lot of K-State fans in the crowd too. Kinda crazy that they have never sold out a game especially with the great year they've had. If you win, they will come though. LSU's crowd was the largest in the history of the New Box for the game yesterday, with 12,085 fans in the stands. Baseball has always been big in the south, but I'm glad its starting to get big outside of the southeast. You will see a lot of teams expanding their stadiums soon. I think the Washington Huskies are building a whole new stadium and baseball complex. Very nice.

One of our radio announcers before the regional read off a list of teams with bigger stadiums. It was unreal some of the teams I had never even heard of. But you're right the game is growing slowly. The bigger it gets in the north and northeast the better tv coverage we will get with espn.

Understand that some smaller schools play in Minor League stadiums that sit around 10000+. That's why you hear of no name teams having big stadiums. I only go for the on campus stadiums. I think Dudy Noble for Miss St. is the largest. It sits like 14000+. After that I think Baum and Alex Box are the biggest, but I think Baum seats about a thousand more than us.

Does Dudy really sit that many? I know they have that outfields area is that part of the 14k?

I didn't know Baum sat more than the Box.

The capacity at Dudy-Noble is 15000, and they have the largest on-campus crowd in NCAA History with 14,991 fans. Baum's capacity is 10,737 and the largest crowd there was 11,103 for and LSU/Arkansas game in 2011. Alex Box Stadium's capacity is 10,150, but our largest crowd was last nights game with 12,085 fans. Below is the rest of the SEC.

Florida - 6,000
Georgia - 3,291
Kentucky - 3,000
South Carolina - 8,200
Tennessee - 3,800
Vanderbilt - 3,700
Alabama - 6,571
Auburn -4,096
Ole Miss - 6,000

I was reading a thing on the LSU website last night. Now while this wasn't actual attendance, the first four games at the Baton Rouge Regional have a paid attendance of 45,180 and an actual attendance of 25,828, majority of them being at the two LSU games.

I thought the Saturday game between LSU and South Carolina this year had an attendance of 12, 300 something. They said on the tv broadcast that is was the greatest attendance on record, and while I don't remember the exact number they did say it was more than 12,085.

That's paid attendance. Normally crowds will go over capacity because the university sells lots of standing room tickets. Then you probably have about 500-1000 that don't actually show up. LSU had an actual attendance of 10,500 last night, but our paid was over 12,000.

Ok jellafever let me clear it up. Last night was the largest "actual" attendance crowd in LSU history, with a crowd of 10,752. The 12,085 was the largest "paid" attendance in a Baton Rouge Regional. The LSU/South Carolina was the largest "actual" attendance crowd at 10,246 until it was broken last night. The "paid" attendance for that game was 12,727, which is still the largest in the history of Alex Box Stadium.

Spring Mobile Ballpark (Utah) - 15,411
Hi Corbett Field (Arizona) - 9,500
Packard Stadium (Arizona State) - 7,875
PK Park (Oregon) - 4,000 [4,825 vs. Kent State in 2011]
Klein Field at Sunken Diamond (Stanford) - 4,000
Bailey-Brayton Field (Washington State) - 3,500
Goss Stadium at Coleman Field (Oregon State) - 3,248 [3,535 vs UC Santa Barbara in 2013]
Evans Diamond (Cal) - 2,500
Dedeaux Field (USC) - 2,500
Jackie Robinson Stadium (UCLA) - 1,820 [2,914 vs USC in 1997]
Husky Ballpark (Washington) - 1,500 (Renovation will bump to 3,200)
