Is it SEC practice to reschedule these cancelled games?

Nope, no makeup games in the SEC. Not sure what other conferences do.

It's just so difficult to reschedule one game in college baseball even within the region. Usually if they see there is bad weather they will move the Sunday game up but for whatever reason they didn't. They also canceled the NC vs NCS game and it will not be made up.

Thanks guys. BTW, it's really great to have some non-Pac 12 folks on the board.

Sec needs to take a serious look at PK park. No cancelled games, in one of the more notorious places in the country that gets a ton of rain. All turf/All weather fields are legit.

I'll have to disagree there. I can't stand the artificial surface on a baseball diamond. Alex Box Stadium has a great field drainage system and I'm sure many of the other ballparks do as well. I was surprised LSU got the game in yesterday, there was just way too much rain yesterday. I don't know about other places in the region, but here in the New Orleans metro area it rained hard from noon until 9pm yesterday.

We have Florida at home. I see both LSU and Arkansas winning their series next weekend so I see it staying par. LSU has just been so unlucky these last two games. Both teams played really well this weekend but SC just got the lucky bounce. Watching a good Oregon vs Stanford game on the U now.

I don't think SC got the lucky bounce this weekend. They came in and played solid baseball all 3 games. LSU left 26 runners on base for the weekend and committed 3 errors, and all 3 were very costly. The 2 errors saturday gave Carolina 3 unearned runs which proved to be the difference.

LSU just can't get the hit they need when runners are on base. And right now they aren't doing the little things right at the plate. Too many times they fail to score a runner from 3rd with less than 2 outs, and several times with a leadoff double the runner would never get moved from 2nd base. They are really struggling with situational hitting and manufacturing runs.

I agree Hedge. It's too easy to just say the other team got the lucky bounce.

Yeh I'll give you that hedge, but as far as SC in that first inning they had a few cheap base hits but that's baseball. Didn't matter anyway bc we couldn't even score a run. I still think LSU goes to omaha but this team needs to clean it up if they are gonna win it all.

Same to you. I'm a big college baseball homer and love to watch any game that comes on no matter the conference. You guys really keep me well updated with the PAC 12

I hear that Baum could contain 4 inches of rain per hour and be ready in 30 monutes. The problem you run into is the SEC curfew for Sunday games. Not to mention there was no end in sight of the rain on Georgia Sunday.

We couldn't move up because the game was televised.
