2017 Top Prospects

Brian Kregel  OF - 2017 - Lilburn, GA
Princeton

Kregel had a very impressive event showing well in every phase of the workouts. He posted a 6.88 time in the 60 to go with a strong arm from the outfield up to 86 mph. Paired those with a loud batting practice working with a line drive plane and torque through his lower half with strong barrel feel.

Matthew Wiseman  3B - 2017 - Eustis, FL
San Jacinto CC

Wiseman is a strongly built rising senior who impressed at the plate. He drove the ball exceptionally well with good bat speed and barrel feel. Torqued well through his lower half with good bat speed and an elastic load pre-swing.

Kevin Long  1B - 2017 - Bonita Springs, FL
FSCJ

Long, a junior first basemen and catcher, put on one of the loudest performances in BP of any player. He fired his hips to the ball with an elastic hand load and worked well to the ball. He showed excellent power potential and impressive line drive plane through the zone driving the ball with ease.

Isaiah Perry  SS - 2017 - Pembroke Pines, FL
Texas Southern

Perry showed some of the top athleticism of any player at the event, posting a 60 time of 6.31 as well as an impressive 10 yard split. Put his speed to use in the game swiping multiple bags and burning down the line.

Jose Martinez  RHP - 2017 - Weston, FL
St. Joseph's

Martinez, a projectable 2017 RHP showed a quick arm on the mound and a projectable build has he adds strength. He used a long arm action from a mid three-quarter arm slot with good downhill action. Working with good drive from his lower half, he worked his fastball between 82-85 mph with good arm side life. He also mixed in a harder slider at 78 mph with 11-5 bite as well as a changeup at 77 mph with good fade. He replicated his arm speed well for the changeup and mixed pitches.

Russell Cruz  3B - 2017 - Littleton, CO

Cruz really impressed in batting practice and in games with his swing. He generated extension and created good leverage. Fired his hips and torqued well with above average bat speed and intent to drive the ball.

Tyler Dunbar  C - 2017 - Tallahassee, FL
Sewanee: University of the South

Dunbar is an athletic junior catching prospect who impressed on both sides of the ball. He had a best pop time in warmups of 1.94 with a quick transfer. He showed good lower half incorporation with quick hands and bat speed through the zone.

Kyle Evert  OF - 2017 - Fayetteville, GA

Evert is a smaller built primary outfielder with above average arm strength up to 85 mph with a quick release and sound hands. He swung to pull the ball on a line drive plane with good barrel feel and bat speed.

Carlos Hernandez  C - 2017 - Barceloneta, PR

Hernandez posted the best pop time of anyone in attendance with a 1.83 time. He also showed strong velocity of 80 mph behind the plate with a quick transfer and developing receiving skills.

Aaron Lange  1B - 2017 - Valparaiso, IN
Waubonsee CC

Lange has a large frame with lots of present strength at 6-3/235 with a very loud hit tool. The strength shows in his swing with natural lift and projectable power. Worked all fields with impressive bat speed and explosion in his lower half to drive the ball.

Julio Marcano  IF - 2017 - Katy, TX
New Jersey Tech

Marcano impressed in both his infield work outs and at the plate showing athletic actions in both. He showed very sound actions in the infield to the ball with a smooth transfer. At the plate, swung with a line drive plane with intent to drive the ball with good bat speed. Torques well in his lower half with extension.

Jordan Maxson  C - 2017 - Wichita, KS
Kansas State

Maxson, a 2017 catcher with good present strength and athleticism in his frame. Top pop time of 1.95. Torqued well through his lower half and created leverage with bat speed and a line drive swing plane. Lots of power potential in his swing.

Jimmy McClenaghan  OF - 2017 - Modesto, CA
Pacific/San Joaquin Delta College

McClenaghan is a tall, lean rising senior committed to Nebraska with lots of projection left. High energy fielder who worked through the ball well with impressive arm strength up to 89 mph. Also posted a 7.05 time in the 60.

Cameron Moore  SS - 2017 - Alpharetta, GA

Moore stands at 5-10/155 with lots of room to fill in his frame. In his workouts, he showed good footwork and a strong arm up to 85 mph. Showed soft, sure hands as well with good overall defensive actions. Also posted one of the top 60 times at 6.72.

David Russo  SS - 2017 - Sarasota, FL

Russo is an athletic shortstop who showed fluid actions with a average arm strength up to 83 mph. Good fundamental actions with a high release. Impressive 6.87 time in the 60. Level hand path through the hitting zone with quick hands and present barrel feel to drive the ball consistently.

Jason Turenchalk  1B - 2017 - Poughkeepsie, NY
Salve Regina University

Turenchalk is an athletically built rising senior who stood out at the plate and was fundamentally sound at first base with good arm strength. He coiled well through his lower half and generated lift through the zone with good bat speed. Drove the ball around the field with a direct swing path and good barrel feel.


2018 Top Prospects

Harrison Stovern  LHP - 2018 - Fulshear, TX
Harvard

Stovern showed very well on both the mound and in the outfield with highly athletic actions. Posted a 6.59 60 time with an outfield velocity of 85 mph. Primary LHP had tons of room to fill with good arm strength from a 3/4 slot and a short, compact action. Fastball worked 81-84 with life. 11/5 shaped curveball at 70 with a developing changeup at 75 mph.

Kj Wells  RHP - 2018 - Elon, NC
High Point

Wells is an athletic junior right hander with room to fill and present strength. Showed a looser arm action with a live arm and hid the ball well. Worked a very heavy fastball at 84-87 mph with tough sinking action on hitters. Curveball with 11/5 shape flashed depth and sharpness.

Matthew Boynton  RHP - 2018 - Tallahassee, FL
Tallahassee CC

Boynton is a very projectable rising junior with a long, lean frame. Showed good arm strength up to 88 with developing accuracy. At the plate, loaded well through his lower half with some barrel feel and line drive plane to his pull side. Also pitched working his fastball up to 86 mph.

Max Helman  RHP - 2018 - Wilton, CT
Sacred Heart

Helman is lean, projectable 6-1/190 framed rising sophomore RHP. He had good arm strength with the chance for more as he learns to incorporate his lower half. Fastball worked up to 86 mph and in the 82-84 mph range. Showed developing feel for a slider and changeup as well.

Connor Bright  RHP - 2018 - Snow Hill, NC
Air Force

Bright is a medium built rising junior who stands at 5-11/172. Longer arm circle with a shorter action and landed online with downhill action. Mixed speeds well with a true fastball at 83-86 mph that was around the plate throughout his time on the mound. Also worked in a deceptive changeup with cut and a 11-5 shaped curveball that flashed sharpness.


2019 Top Prospects

Kade Hancock  OF - 2019 - Salem, UT

Hancock is a very projectable rising sophomore at 6-3/180 on both the mound and at the plate. Was very fluid in the outfield with a strong, accurate arm up to 86 mph. Showed a quick bat the plate with good swing angle who impressed more from the right side. On the mound showed good arm speed up to 81 mph with slight sink.

Tyler "TK" Knierim  OF - 2019 - Weston, FL
South Alabama

Knierim is a very projectable rising sophomore standing at 6-3/175 with tons of room to field. Showed smooth actions with athleticism and good footwork. Showed some bat speed with a line drive plane and posted an impressive 6.70 time in the 60 yard dash.

Ernest Adendorff  RHP - 2019 - Moorpark, CA
Dartmouth

Adendorff is an exceptionally promising rising sophomore who showed well on both the mound and at the plate. On the mound he threw from a high three quarter slot with present arm speed and deception. Fastball worked 76-80 with sinking, arm side action low in the zone, while also mixing in an 11-5 curveball. At the plate showed very quick hands and bat speed with power potential.

Justin Doyle  RHP - 2019 - Prospect, KY
Stevens Institute of Technology

Doyle impressed at the plate with lots of athleticism and room to fill. Secondary hitter with a smooth load into contact with ability to drive the ball with a smooth separation and control into swing. Also showed good arm strength for age with a fastball at 80 mph and paired it with a 61 mph curveball.

Edgar Rodriguez  LHP - 2019 - Miami, FL
Florida Southwestern State College

Very young, projectable player with room to fill. Fastball worked 77-80 with very repeatable mechanics and feel for setting hitters up. Higher three quarter slot with a loose arm action. Interesting curveball with 1/7 shape that flashed depth and sharpness.
