2015 Top Prospects

Sean Buckhout  C - 2015 - West Nyack, NY
Stony Brook

Buckhout moves very well behind the plate and shows sound mechanics, breaking the event record pop time with a 1.84. He also showed off his arm strength both behind the plate, 78 mph, and on the mound, sitting 82-84 mph with his fastball and mixed in a sharp 11/5 curveball.

Seamus Curran  1B - 2015 - Feeding Hills, MA
Rhode Island

Setting up with a wide base and high hand set, Curran flashed big power from the left side, making hard contact to his pull side and hit a line drive back up the middle during a game that registered 90 mph off the bat.

Chris Davis  OF - 2015 - Burlington, CT
Princeton

With a strong, compact frame, Davis ran a 6.93 60 yard and threw 82 mph from the outfield and projects for more. At the plate, he shows a quick bat with line drive contact.

Brandon Fox  RHP - 2015 - Manchester, CT
Central Connecticut State

A big 6'5" right handed pitcher, Fox showed a quick arm, releasing the ball from a 3/4 arm slot. Topping out at 85 mph and projecting for more, Fox showed a feel for both off speed pitches he threw, including a 77 mph slider with late break.

David Giusti  RHP - 2015 - New Canaan, CT
Lafayette

Throwing from a deceptive lower 3/4's slot, Giusti hides the ball well and with his stuff, he was able to miss bats. His fastball topped out at 84 mph, showing good arm side run, along with an 11/5 curveball with sharp break and a sweeping slider at 72 mph.

Andrew Gnazzo  RHP - 2015 - Farmington, CT
Princeton

A lean, right handed pitcher who throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, Gnazzo showed the ability to work the corners with his fastball, which sat 82-85 mph and flashed 2 types of breaking balls, including an 11/5 curveball with sharp, late life.

Justin Lasko  RHP - 2015 - Stratford, CT
Massachusetts

Standing at 6'4", Lasko, a right handed pitcher, sat 79-82 mph with his fastball that featured good run inside on right handed batters. Throwing from an easy, 3/4 slot, he mixed in a curveball flashing 11/5 break and has a strong feel for a 74 mph change up with fade.

Evan Lumpinski  OF - 2015 - Woodbridge, CT
Massachusetts

Lumpinski hit the ball hard all weekend, consistently squaring up the ball for line drive base hits to all parts of the field. He shows good bat speed from the left side and also turned in the top 1B velocity of the weekend at 78 mph.

Jack Nelson  RHP - 2015 - Sparta, NJ
Boston College

Nelson works from a 3/4 arm slot with easy action and was able to generate a fastball that topped out at 84 mph and sat 81-84. He also mixed in an 11/5 curveball that flashed late break and a change up that he controlled low in the zone, topping at 70 mph.

Ben Porter  OF - 2015 - Newton, MA
Columbia

Porter showed off all of his tools this weekend, breaking the 60 yard dash event record, running a 6.66 and throwing the top outfield velocity of the weekend at 85 mph.

Zack Quintal  3B - 2015 - Eliot, ME
Maine

With a balanced set up at the plate, Quintal displayed the ability to drive the ball to all fields with strength in his swing. He also ran the second fastest 60 yard time, turning in a 6.90.

Justin Salem  SS - 2015 - Mahwah, NJ
Hofstra

Salem showed his athleticism all weekend defensively, as well as a strong arm from the three positions he played (OF, INF, RHP). He ran a 6.97 60 yard and his speed plays up in game situations, showing good instincts on the base paths.

Josh Simpson  LHP - 2015 - Stafford Springs, CT
Columbia

A projectable left handed pitcher, Simpson bumped his fastball to 81 mph with a slider up to 74 mph. He impressed during batting practice, showing a smooth left handed stroke, hitting line drives to all fields.

Kyle Skeels  C - 2015 - Langhorne, PA
Coastal Carolina

Skeels impressed behind the plate, showing fluid defensive actions and a strong arm which he likes to use in game action. He popped a 1.94 and threw 74 mph down to second. He uses his strong frame to drive the ball and has lift in his swing.


2016 Top Prospects

Jake Goodreau  C - 2016 - Southwick, MA
Boston College

With a big, strong frame, Goodreau showed good hands defensively with a quick transfer behind the plate, popping a 1.94, second best at the showcase. A left handed hitter, Goodreau made loud contact, getting the barrel through the zone and driving the ball.

Michael Griffin  SS - 2016 - Hudson, NH
Franklin Pierce

Griffin showed smooth, athletic actions in the infield, with a quick transfer and good arm strength across the diamond. He has a sound approach at the plate and made line drive contact to all fields.

Drew (Andrew) Harmon  1B - 2016 - Madison, CT
Lafayette

Listed as a primary RHP where he showed well with an upper 70's fastball and a lot of cut action, Harmon also hit the ball very well, consistently hitting hard line drives from the left side.

Dillon Stimpson  RHP - 2016 - Fairfield, CT
University of Connecticut

A projectable 6'4" right handed pitcher with plenty of room to fill out, Stimpson topped out at 84 mph, sat 81-84, and had a sharp 11/5 curveball and a 68 mph change up to complement. Nothing he threw on the mound was straight.

Jimmy Titus  SS - 2016 - Stafford, CT
Bryant

A primary infield who showed good actions and instincts with a strong arm across the diamond, Titus had a very good outing on the mound with the events top velocity of 86 mph with good run and a sharp slider at 74 mph.
