2008 Hawaii Showcase Tournament Top Prospect List

2008 Grads


1. Kolten Wong – C/2B – 2008 – Has all five tools. Can hit against elite pitching, runs well, strong arm, good glove, who can play any position.

2. Dustin Antolin – RHP – 2008 – Big time arm. Topped out at 92 mph with late run on his FB. Has the ability to dominate.

3. Aaron Fujiki – C – 2008 – One of the best catch and throw guys around. All of his throws are right on the money and he shuts down the running game.

4. Brian Alben – LHP/OF/1B – 2008 – Two way prospect who has a very projectable body. Great arm, speed, bat, and glove.

5. Dane Kinoshita RHP – 2008 – Little guy with a big arm. Very easy upper 80’s fastball with late run. A gamer who dominates.

6. Joshua DeMello – OF/UT – 2008 – Good speed and very strong arm. Threw 87 from the outfield. Line drive hitter who sprays the gaps.

7. Blake Amaral – 3B/SS – 2008 – Can flat hit. Line drive swing with power. Also has good speed and has a slick glove in the infield.

8. Josh Graves – RHP – 2008 – 6’8” right hander with lots of room to fill out still. He has good command of his pitches and an arm that works well.

9. Tobe Kailimai – RHP – 2008 – Another big right handed pitcher with a loose lively arm. He also has a very sharp 12/6 CB.

10. Blaine Pilayo – OF/2B – 2008 – Very solid defensive outfielder who can run and throw as well. Drives the ball with authority.


Underclassmen

1. Matthew McDaniel – LHP/1B – 2009 – Strong 6’3” left hander with a loose easy arm. Topped out at 85 mph. Also can swing the bat and run.

2. Joshua Kaiwi – LHP/1B/OF – 2010 – Lanky left hander that topped out at 83 mph. Has a very smooth delivery and command of all pitches.

3. Jeremy Fujimoto – MIF/P – 2009 – Best defensive IF here with a strong arm and very smooth actions. Also threw 85 off the mound.

4. Jordan Inamasu – C/2B – 2009 – Good catch and throw guy with a very quick accurate arm. Can flat out hit and has power as well.

5. Devin “Kalei” Hanawahine – OF – 2009 – Big time hitter who has good speed as well. Solid defensively with a strong arm.

6. Dorian Rivera – RHP/OF – 2010 – 6’3” right handed pitcher who topped out at 84 mph with late run. Also ran a 6.88 60.

7. Brent Fukushima – 2B/OF – 2010 – Very solid in the infield with a solid glove. Very fundamentally sound. Solid bat with power to both gaps.

8. Dustin Devera – MIF/P/OF – 2009 – Very solid all around athlete. Good arm strength in the field and off the mound.
