The premier showcase event
in amateur baseball is the “PG National Showcase” June 18th-20th. This year
the event will be held at Tropicana Field, the Major League Domed Stadium of
the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In 2003, 16 first round draft picks were former
PG players and in 2002 six of the first eight picks and again a total of 16
first round draft picks of the Major League amateur draft attended the
Perfect Game National. In just the past two years nearly 800 “Perfect Game
players” have been selected in the June draft.
Many of the players
attending the PG National go directly to USA Baseball’s Tournament of Stars
in Joplin, Mo. Several of the top players who make the “USA Junior Team”
will once again be at the PG National this year. We fully expect to have
the largest group of scouts and college recruiters ever at this year’s
National Showcase.
Perfect
Game is recognized as the leader in helping talented young players receive
maximum exposure. PG is regarded as baseball’s largest and premier scouting
service and the very best at running first class scouting events. Perfect
Game is in partnership with Baseball America (Prospects Plus), works with
all 30 Major League clubs, USA Baseball, and over 1000 colleges nationwide.
PG is also the official selection group for the AFLAC
Televised game in August and the High School All American Game, which
is televised in early June.
