Event Name: National Academic Showcase Event Type: Showcase Site: Red Sox 5 Plex - Ft. Myers, FL Date: June 15-16, 2004   This year Perfect Game will hold an “Academic Top Prospect Showcase” for those who have shown the necessary baseball potential as well as those who have achieved excellent academic records. This showcase will be held June 15th & 16th at the Boston Red Sox spring training complex in Fort Myers, Florida. We decided to hold this important event after several of the most prestigious academic institutions in the nation requested it. They know our reputation for getting talented players, but so often those players do not have the required academic achievements to qualify for the top schools. Yes, we are talking about many of the very top colleges in the country from coast to coast led by a few Ivy League Schools who really can’t waste time watching players that have no chance of being admitted to their school. This event is for talented players who meet at least one of the following three academic criteria: 3.3 grade point average, 1100 SAT score or 24 ACT score.
