This
event is our first big showcase of the summer. Our PG National is held the
following week at Tropicana Field, the Domed Major League Stadium of the
Tampa Bay Devil Rays. As always, we will invite several of the top prospects
from the Sunshine Showcases to attend the National Showcase.
The PG Sunshine Showcase has become one of Perfect Game’s most important
events. Each year we have discovered many very talented players who become
high level draft prospects. Over 150 of last year’s Sunshine players have
signed early with colleges across America. The amount of talent has
increased every year. More than 20 Sunshine players were invited to the PG
National last year. Some of these players went from being virtually unknown
to high profile potential early round picks a year later.
