Top 10 Sophomores
1. Jason Corder, RHP 04 CA PG USA White
Jason was outstanding with a 90-92 mph fastball, working curveball and good looking change-up. He has a special arm that is one of the fastest we have seen in the Sophomore class. He was living in the 90+ mph range and some scouts even reported his fastball as high as 95-96 mph. The REAL DEAL!
2. Greg Burns, OF 04 CA ABD Bulldogs 2
Greg is more than an athlete, he has good baseball actions fielding, throwing and hitting. Much of the game comes with ease and he has a super projectable body at 6-1 and 160.Good left-handed swing.
3. Chris Urias, LHP/OF 04 CA ABD Bulldogs 2
Chris is a nice 6-1 lefty. He showed an 83 mph fastball coming from ¾ that gets some movement. He has a good long and lean pitchers build and can throw his fastball and a 68 mph curve effectively.
4. Joe Spiers, 2B 04 CA ABD Bulldogs
Joe is a quick and agile infielder who has soft hands, good fielding actions and a playable arm. He has good bat-speed with wood and is a productive player.
5. Danny Morrow, 1B 04 CA ABD Bulldogs 2
Danny has a good strong body for his age and has athleticism for a first-baseman. His swing is quick and his bat control is good for his age. He is comfortable on the field.
6. Patrick Rose, 2B 04 CA Players of Promise
Scrappy infielder who plays the game hard and does all the right things. Looked sharp out there.
7. Andy Darnell, OF 04 CA NorCal
Good outfielder with power from a strong lower half at the plate. Has bat-speed and will hit.
8. Josh Bradbury, RHP/IF 04 CA ABD Bulldogs 2
This 6-1 pitcher threw both an 80 mph fastball and a 70 mph curve with command. Knows how to pitch.
9. Arnesto Polit, LHP FA Equador PG USA Blue
Young Equadorian with a 77-80 mph fastball and a soft 12-6 curve. Gave the hitters a tough angle.
10. Marcos Aldrete, LHP/OF 04 CA ABD Bulldogs 2
Crafty Lefty who makes up for pitchability with what he lacks in size.
