1. Jhonathan Figueroa, LHP FA VZ PG USA White
Figueroa was impressive with an arsenal of outstanding pitches that included a fastball that lived in the low 90's with plus life. He threw it on the corners and was un-hittable. He also had a good slider and showed a few change-ups that were Big League pitches. His arm works easy and he knows how to pitch. He signed with the Dodgers for $500,000 after the tournament.
2. Tyler Wightman, OF 02 CA PG USA Blue
Mashed all weekend for average and power. He has some big bat-speed, a good swing, showed wood power with 3 HR's and hit the gaps hard. He also showed good foot-speed and athleticism on the bases as he had 6 doubles in 5 games. Has a playable OF arm and a strong projectable body.
3. James Guerrero, SS/2B 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
James has quick hands, a fast bat, a nice swing and can flat out hit. He has outstanding pitch recognition and a quick trigger. In the field, James made some super plays and showed why he is considered one of the nations top infielders . He is a player, one of the best out there.
4. Scott Moore, SS 02 CA PG USA White
Scott has some of the top tools in the country and he showed them in Temecula. He's got good hands, quick and smooth transfers, above average arm strength and can hit. At the plate, Scott showed maybe the fastest bat-speed in the tournament.
5. Kevin Jepson, RHP 02 NV PG USA White
Had an easy working arm, cruised in the 88-90 mph range, had a plus hard slider and plus change-up. He is balanced on the mound and showed command of everything he threw. This was his first time facing batters since the fall.
6. Greg Miller, LHP 02 CA Orange County Angels
A 6' 5" Lefty pitcher with a consistent 88-89 mph lively fastball, nice spinning curveball and he hit the corners. His delivery is deceptive and his arm is loose. He also threw a change-up at 79mph, keeping it down low. Could be a good drat pick this June.
7. Adam Elliott, RHP 02 CA PG USA White
Adam had a 90-92 mph fastball with a plus curve on the mound. He showed a slider that looks promising and threw it hard. We've seen him even better in the past. He also showed wood power at the plate.
8. Jake Blalock, 3B 02 CA PG USA White
Jake is a big player with a plus body and strength. He has outstanding raw power now and potential for more. He hit a few big League line drives and has the tools to play 3B. He is fast becoming one of the top hitting prospects in the nation. His brother Hank is one of the top prospects in the Rangers organization.
9. Mark Wagner, C 02 CA California Aces
Mark hit consistently with wood showing HR power and a level, line drive swing plane. He has fluid hitting actions and a professional approach. He had one of the best swings in the tournament. He didn't catch much in Temecula, but scouts say that's his future.
10. Fernando Pacheco, 1B 02 CA PG USA Blue
Pacheco has one of the strongest swings in California and it is a good looking one from the left side. He proved that he can hit off-speed pitches and was just as good defensively. Could be one of the nations best hitting prospects.
11. Shawn Scobee, OF 02 CA PG USA White
Shawn has a good swing and shows plus raw power. He has a strong arm, good athleticism and can really hit. He is one of the nations top power hitting prospects.
12. Mark Esparza, LHP 02 CA PG USA Blue
Mark had an 88-90 mph fastball that touched 92 and a good working arm. Good Lefty.
13. Curt Mendoza, OF 02 CA ABD Bulldogs
Curt is a specimen who can hit, throw and play the game in impressive fashion. He showed some big power potential.
14. Jeremy Burchett, OF/RHP 02 CA California Aces
Hit for power and has bat-speed. Touched 90mph on the mound with plus life and was unhitable. He also has a big league body!
15. Adam Simon, RHP 02 CA PG USA Blue
Had an 88-91 mph fastball and dropped down with a tough-to-hit slider. Quick arm and knows the game. If he were bigger he'd be a certain high pick.
16. Jeff Jacobsen, RHP 02 NV PG USA White
Consistent 87-88 mph fastball that touched 90. Also mixed in a good change and commanding curve.
17. Daniel Miltonberger, RHP 02 CA PG USA White
Had a consistent 90 mph fastball and plus curve that we've seen even tighter. Topping out at 92.
18. Esaquiel Rubalcava, OF/RHP 02 CA Players of Promise
Very athletic outfielder with a strong arm, good swing with wood power potential and ran a 6.75 in the 60.
19. Ronnie Lindsey, RHP 02 CA PG USA Blue
Gifted athlete with an 88-89 mph fastball, good hook and heavy change-up. Threw all three for strikes.
20. Carlos Quirola, RHP FA Equador PG USA Blue
Smooth pitcher with an easy arm and a plus slider around 77 mph. Topped out at 87 without much effort.
21. Ryan Broderick, OF 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
Big, good body on this athlete with power now and potential for more. He has good fielding tools and is a player. He runs average or better.
22. Greg Dupas, RHP 02 CA PG USA Blue
Big, strong pitcher who showed an 88 mph fastball that he likes to go inside with and a plus change with sink.
23. Erik Averil, LHP 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
He showed a live mid 80's fastball with sink that topped out at 87 mph and a plus change-up.
24. Coltyn Simmons, OF 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
Showed a strong OF arm and produced several line drives in the cleanup spot. Can really hit.
25. Joey Huskins, C 02 CA Orange County Angels
Showed HR power and a strong arm to go with good receiving skills. And he won the MVP!
26. Mike Craig, LHP/1B 02 CA PG USA White
Good left-handed swing and super effective on the mound with 3 commanding pitches.
27. Joe Guntz, LHP 02 CA California Aces
Pitcher with good leverage on a mid 80's fastball who varied his look and changed speed. Can pitch.
28. Mike Cooper, RHP 02 CA California Aces
Big, projectable pitcher with a good arm. Had a good curve and an 87 mph fastball. Can hit too.
29. Cardoza Tucker, RHP 02 CA PG USA White
Fast arm that produced a mid to high 80's fastball and the makings of a second plus pitch. He's been better.
30. Luke Beck, RHP/3B 02 CA California Aces
Has a good bat and shows power potential. Good line drive swing that showed consistent contact.
31. Billy Bagwell, IF 02 CA Murietta Reds
2-way player that has good infield actions, can hit and ran a 6.8 in the 60. Touched 87 mph on the mound.
32. Mike Thompson, SS 02 CA California Aces
Has smooth and good actions with good hands and a strong arm. Also has power in his bat.
33. Kyle Mura, IF 02 CA Orange County Angels
Good build on this SS that showed he can play. Has smooth actions and a swing that will hit.
34. Brian Hansen, LHP 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
Big left-handed pitcher that cruised at 86-87 mph with life, and he knows how to pitch.
35. Miguel Gonzalez, 3B/RHP 02 CA Players of Promise
2-way player that features a good glove and strong arm. Also showed a good swing and wood pop.
36. Paul Smyth, C 02 CA Murietta Reds
Big player with good bat-speed, wood power and a swing that will produce runs. Can catch too.
37. Lee Csenar, RHP 02 CA Orange County Angels
Long and loose pitcher with an easy 85 mph fastball and good looking slider. Arm worked very good.
38. Justin Turner, IF 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
Has good bat control, soft hands and good range. He makes all the plays and makes it look easy.
39. Cody Rizzo, C/OF 02 CA ABD Bulldogs
Cody is an athletic player who shows good defensive ability, a strong arm and runs well for a catcher.
40. Mike Peck, RHP 02 CA Orange County Angels
Mike has a long and lean pitchers body with a good working arm in the low-mid 80's and a plus slider.
41. Pedro Sanabria, OF FA Equador PG USA Blue
Athletic outfielder with playable LF arm and good hitting instincts to go with some bat-speed.
42. Randy Akasaka, C/1B 02 CA California Aces
Good catch and throw catcher with quick release and solid defensive skills. Solid swing at the plate too.
43. Cody Wilkinson, C/RHP 02 CA Colton Nighthawks
Cody has a good pitchers build and had a low-mid 80's fastball that was effective going inside on hitters.
44. Luis Carrera, RHP FA Cuba Players of Promise
Had an effective mid 80's fastball and a super-effective change-up. Nice 12-6 curve was his 3rd pitch.
45. Chris Wilson, RHP/IF 02 CA ABD Bulldogs
Strong pitcher with 85-86 mph fastball with good life and a late biting curve. Snapped 3 bats!
46. Allen Craig, IF 02 CA ABD Bulldogs
Has good fielding actions, showed us improvements in his hitting ability and knows the game well.
47. Jose Carillo, P/C/3B 02 CA Players of Promise
Listed as a pitcher first but we liked his power potential at the plate. Has good bat-speed and can hit.
48. Kyle Smith, 2B 02 CA PG USA Blue
Outstanding defensive player with excellent hands and flashed some wood bat ability too.
49. Chase Stroupe, IF/RHP 02 CA Orange County Angels
Good Lead-off batter type with strong swing, good foot-speed and makes good decisions on the field.
50. Justin Costi, RHP 02 CA ABD Bulldogs
Justin had a low-mid 80's sneaky fastball and good curve that hitters were never really able to hit.
