Chasetn Reed (2018 OF, Beltsville, MD) went 2 for 4 with a run scored.  Reed has a projectable frame and good barrel control.

Langston Cross (2017 RHP, Mitchellville, MD) went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored.  Crossed showed hard pull side contact.

Jacob Maggi (2017 2B, Wexford, PA) was a magnet up the middle making multiple plays look very easy.

Zach Smith (2018 3B, Jeffersonton, VA) went 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Smith has a strong build and showed good pull side contact.

Wes Glass (2018 LHP, Leesburg, VA) was up to 83 MPH from a lower ¾ slot.   The left hander showed a good feel for the game and should continue to develop.

Cody Whitten (2017 LHP, Forest, VA) threw 4 scoreless innings today striking out 8 hitters.

Jonathan Rivard (2018 OF, Spotsylvania, VA) went one for three on the day with a stolen base on top of throwing 3 scoreless innings.

Carson Fowler (2018 OF, Wilmington, DE) only gave up one hit in his two innings of shutout baseball.  He also went 1 for 3 at the plate.

Daniel Keer (2017 1B, Lehighton, PA) went 1 for 3 with a double.  Keer has a quick bat showing good bat speed.

Alex Kohlhagen (2017 1B, South Salem, NY) went 1 for 3 with a double.  Kohlhagen has an athletic build and showed good pull side contact.

Dalton Jackson (2017 1B, Chesapeake, VA) went 1 for 3 with a double.  Jackson has some raw power and had some good barrels in todays games.

Aidan Frye (2018 RHP, Harleysville, PA) pitched 4 innings giving up 1 unearned run.  Frye stuck out 3 hitters and got up to 83 MPH.

Brendan Collins (2017 RHP, Olney, MD) sat 80-84 MPH. Collins gets lots of groundballs and showed a sharp breaking ball

Robbie Holmes (2018 1B, Bernardsville, NJ) went 1 for 3 with a double.  Holmes has an lean athletic build that projects well.

Thomas O’Sullivan (2018 Pound Ridge, NY) went 2 for 2 on the day with a pair of singles and a run scored.  O’Sullivan has an opposite field approach and good barrel control.

Hiro Mizutani (2017 RHP, Paramus, NJ) tossed 4 scoreless innings striking out 4.  Mizualani also showed a good breaking ball that flashed signs of late break.

Will Liverpool (2017 RHP, McLean, VA) sat 84-88 MPH from a low ¾ arm slot.  Liverpool has good arm side run and showed a sharp slider.

During two innings on the mound Ryan Sehdev (2018 SS, Haddonfield, NJ) impressed, showing off a quick arm through the backside with some running life up to 81 mph. Along with the fastball, the projectable right-handed showed a feel for both a sharp curveball at 74 mph which he would throw in any count and a changeup that came in at 74 mph.

With a strong build, John Bender (2018 3B, Morgantown, PA) ran his fastball up to 80 mph from an over the top arm slot and showed cutting life on the pitch. His curveball proved to be a more than effective pitch as he was able to induced swings and misses with the 12-6 shape pitch, showing solid depth and feel at 66 mph. 

Cooper Adams (2018 3B, Potomac, MD) led the offense for Texas Orange as he showed off a nice feel for the barrel from the left side, twice creating solid base hits to his pull side connecting for both a triple and single. He also impressed defensively at third base showing sound actions and range to the ball and nice arm strength across. 

Chris Brubaker (2017 RHP, Clifton, VA) also had a nice night at the plate for Texas Orange hitting behind Adams and collected two base hits of his own including a double and single. He showed an aggressive swing in the box and showed a feel to use all parts of the field to his advantage. 

Austin Brooks (2017 OF, North Brunswick, NJ) reached base all three times for Texas Orange and came around to score twice. Singling in his second at-bat, Brooks shows a nice approach at the plate and was able to track the ball well while staying short with his swing in the zone. 

Aidan Frye (2018 RHP, Harleysville, PA) put together a two hit night as he picked up a couple of singles and showed a sound approach at the plate by recognizing off speed and sitting back on the pitch.

Matt Brubaker (2017 RHP, Clifton, VA) showed a nice job of finding the barrel from the right side for Red, twice connecting for singles in his first two trips to the plate showing a short and quick path to the ball.

Trent Jones (2017 Chesapeake, VA) had a double and later scored on his one for two day.

Raphael Roman (2018 Bowie, MD) pitched 4 scoreless innings and did a nice job of keeping hitters off balance.

Ethan Klein (2017 Hyde Park, NY) gave up one earned run over four innings of work.  Klein also showed a promising slider.

Robert Morosetti (2017 Bethel Park, PA) went one for two on the day with a double.

Cody Whitten (2017 Forest, VA) went two for three on the day with a single and a double.

Jonathan Rivard (2018 Spotsylvania, VA) scored two runs on the day and had a double against Columbia Blue.

Alexander Kobersteen (2018 Fredericksburg, VA) was up to 86 MPH sitting 82-85 MPH for a majority of the day.  Also showed a good breaking ball

Aaron Perry (2017 Hurricane, WV) hit a double in the second inning of the first game.  He also did an outstanding job on defense playing the middle infield. 

Andrew Troya (2017 North Bergen, NJ) went one for two on the day with a double in the first inning of the second game.

Thomas O'Sullivan (2018 Pound Ridge, NY) went two for two on the day with a triple to finish up the first inning of the second game.  Also, pitched, got his fastball up to 82 MPH.  

Marquise Williams (2017 2B, Irvington, NJ) had two hits on the day for the Purple team.

The following players stood out during batting practice at the Mid Atlantic Underclass.

Chasetn Reed (2018 OF, Beltsville, MD) has a projectable build, uses a leg lift trigger to start his line drive swing plane and hits to all fields.

Andrew Chi (2018 SS, Closter, NJ) line drive swing plane with good feel for his barrel.

Zach Smith (2018 3B, Jeffersonton, VA) has a strong build, short simple swing to ball, gets good leverage at contact and ball jumps off barrel.

Zack Miller (2017 C, Lincoln University, PA) shows good power potential with a quick bat,  and ball jumped when centered.

Colin Adams (2017 C, Upper Chichester, PA) has a line drive swing plane with good strength in body.  Ball comes off barrel well.

Alexander Kobersteen (2018 RHP/OF, Fredericksburg, VA) has a line drive swing plane and gets his weight shifted well through contact

Chrystian Mervilus (2018 SS, King George, VA) short swing plane with good direction to ball with some quickness.  Ball carried well for his size.

Aaron Perry (2017 SS, Hurricane, WV) has a nice line drive swing plane with a short quick path.  Shows feel for barrel.

Terry (Trey) Campbell (2017 OF, Aldie, VA) solid line drive plane and natural lift at contact, ball jumps off when centered.

Hiro Mizutani (2017 RHP, Paramus, NJ) has a low effort swing with good extension and lift.  Has strength at contact.

Robbie Holmes (2018 1B, Bernardsville, NJ) has a short fluid swing with good extension out front.  Shows a quick barrel through zone, has good upside at plate.

Dalton Jackson (2017 OF, Chesapeake, VA) showed strength in swing with a fluid barrel and bat speed.

Matt Brubaker (2017 RHP, Clifton, VA) has a short quick swing with solid line drive contact with carry.

Joseph Castellanos (2017 SS, Nutley, NJ) has a short qick swing with good fluidity in swing.  Does good job staying through the ball and creating line drive contact to mid field.

Daniel Keer (2017 1B, Lehighton, PA) has good bat speed in his line drive swing plane.  Has carry and jump off barrel with consistent hard contact.
