Hiroaki Shiraiwa (2016 OF, Neyagawa,  Osaka) had a single and a triple in the game. He showed good pop in his bat. 

Yuto Yoshikado (2016 SS, Kitamoto,  Saitama) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed the ability to go with the pitch.

Quinn Cooper (2016 OF, Walnut, CA) showed a solid approach at the plate and makes consistent contact.

Shigeki Yoshida (2016 LHP, Urasoe,  Okinawa) threw from an extended 3/4 arm slot. He did a good job of using the lower half of the strike zone.

Jacob Wilson (2016 RHP, Livermore, CA) gets good extension out from and ran his fastball up to 82 mph.

Joe De Fina (2017 RHP, La Verne, CA) arm worked well on the mound with a smooth delivery and ran his fastball up to 86 mph.

Shoki Shirai (2016 C, Kiyose,  Tokyo) had a single and a double in the game. He showed strong hands at the plate.

Austin Schell showed a short and quick bat path to the ball from the right side while showing nice strength and bat speed. He showed the ability to back spin the ball while consistently getting the barrel to the ball with nice carry to his pull side. 

Julian Caravantes began his swing with a small toe tap trigger and did a nice job of generating bat speed through the zone which produced carry to all fields. With a patient approach, De Fina creates natural lift in swing and showed consistent jump off the barrel from the right side. 

Brock Bell impressed with his arm strength and athleticism yesterday and again opened eyes, this time with his right-handed swing. Listed at 6-foot-3, 192-pounds Bell showed a strong and direct path to the ball with solid bat speed while clearing his hips well in his swing and generating consistent contact to his pull side. 

Philip Quartararo showed some of the more impressive strength throughout the day as he creates loud and highly interesting contact to all fields. Staying simple with his lower half, Quartararo consistently drove the ball to the wall with a short swing and solid bat speed. 

Jake Sim has a strong and physically build 6-foot, 195-pound frame which he used well in his left-handed swing. Doing a nice job of incorporating his lower half into his swing, Sim shows a nice feel for he barrel with leverage in his swing while connecting for line drive contact and a well hit home run. 

Dylan McDowell begins his swing with an even stance and a short weight shift into contact. Staying short to the ball with his swing, McDowell creates nice bat speed and separation in his swing with nice jump coming off while showing the ability to repeat the result rather consistently. 

Doug Gragg impressed during his round of batting practice as he began the round with an opposite field home run, then hit one out to his pull side before squaring up a long ball to the middle of the field. With a short and very direct path, Gragg’s physicality appears in his swing as he creates leverage with nice jump off the barrel. 

Stephen Kish has a strong 6-foot, 195-pound and uses his strength well in his short and quick right-handed swing. With some waggle in his hands heading into his swing, Kish did a nice job of getting the barrel to the while creating loud contact with nice carry to his pull side. 

Hiroaki Shiraiwa showed a smooth and repeatable swing from the right side as he created nice separation with leverage at contact. Showing strength and a sound, repeatable stroke Shiraiwa connected for consistent and hard contact to the deep parts of the opposite field. 

Quinn Cooper begins his swing with a leg kick trigger and does a nice job of staying simple with his right-handed swing. Showing a direct path Cooper showed quick hands and a consistent feel for the barrel while showing nice bat speed through the zone. 

Keegan Vercoe stays short to the ball while creating lift in in his swing with interesting strength coming off the barrel to his pull side. Creating lift and separation Vercoe connected for a home run and did a nice job of repeating his swing throughout his round. 

Shigeki Yoshida starts with a narrow and upright stance and showed consistent contact to his pull side as he got through the ball with lift and separation. With line drive contact, Yoshida clears his hips and shows nice carry off the barrel. 

Chris Martin is a switch-hitter and showed well from both sides and impressed even moreso from the left side. Showing fluidity in his swing, Martin got the barrel to the ball with regularity with nice carry coming off at contact. 

Ryan Carpenter showed a nice feel for the barrel and was able to generate carry to all parts of the field. Getting through the zone quickly, Carpenter got the barrel to the ball quickly and did so while exhibiting strength to the opposite field. 

Noah Prewett begins with an upright stance from the right-handed and remains very easy and simple throughout his swing. Generating contact to his pull side which included two home runs, Prewett showed quick hands and was able to drive the ball with average contact. 

Christopher Collins has a strong 6-foot-3, 235-pound frame and he uses that strength to generate a quick swing from the right side with plenty of jump off the barrel. His hands are quick as he showed a simple and repeatable swing with consistent barreled contact and carry to the opposite field. 

Committed to Long Beach State Vicente Ryan Mendoza showed off a quick stroke from the left side of the plate with a short path to the ball. His swing is fluid as he creates consistent pull side contact with some lift.

Philip Quartararo (2016 1B, Bell Canyon, CA) showed good bat speed at the plate with a sound approach.

Charles Wear (2016 OF, Loma Linda, CA) showed good contact skills at the plate and consistently puts the ball in play.

Stephen Kish (2016 OF, Oxnard, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed good pop in his bat.

Tristian Salcido (2016 OF, Fontana, CA) had a double in the game. He showed power in his bat.

Noah Williams (2016 SS, La Verne, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed good bat control at the plate.

Brent McDonald (2016 RHP, Murrieta, CA) threw from a high 3/4 arm slot and ran his fastball up to 86 mph.

Brock Bell (2016 3B, Phoenix, AZ) threw from a high 3/4 arm slot and ran his fastball up to 88 mph.

Jake Sim (2016 OF, San Diego, CA) gets good extension out front and ran his fastball up to 85 mph.

Chris Martin (2016 SS, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed quick hands at the plate.

Kevin Han (2016 RHP, Diamond Bar, CA) showed a good fastball up to 83 mph with good arm side run on it. Also added a pair of singles at the plate.

Chase Ottofy (2016 OF, Las Vegas, NV) showed a good fastball up to 86 mph with a slider at 74 mph.

Matthew Hickman (2016 OF, La Mirada, CA) had a pair of singles and a double in the game. He showed the ability to hit the ball the other way.

Jacob Springman (2016 1B, Redondo Beach, CA) had a double in the game. He showed good pop to his pull side.

Trevor Walker (2016 RHP, Chino Hills, CA) showed a good fastball up to 84 mph with a 12-6 breaking curveball at 72 mph

Marco Valenzuela (2016 C, Redondo Beach, CA) had a single and a double in the game. He showed good bat speed with quick hands. 

Marcus Williams (2016 2B, Ladera Ranch, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed a short compact swing. 

Shigeki Yoshida (2016 LHP, Urasoe,  Okinawa) had a pair of singles in the game. 

Isaac Meza (2016 RHP, Valencia, CA) showed a good fastball running his fastball up to 87 mph. 

Zack Bowman (2016 1B, Aliso Viejo, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed good extension at the plate.

Kason Francis (2016 OF, Las Vegas, NV) had a double in the game. He showed a short-compact swing at the plate.

Greg Lamb (2016 SS, Orange, CA) had a double in the game. He showed good lift in his swing.

Grant South (2017 C, Woodinville, WA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed good bat speed at the plate.

Charles Wear (2016 OF, Loma Linda, CA) has a strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame. The righthanded hitter has good rhythm and timing at the plate, and he went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.

Philip Quartararo (2016 1B, Bell Canyon, CA) is a strong-bodied first baseman that shows an ability to impact the baseball. Quaratarano went 2-for-2 with two singles on the afternoon.

Matthew Fields (2016 SS, Lakewood, CA) is an athletic player who has two way potential. He has good plate coverage and uses a line-drive swing path geared for hard contact in the gaps. He went 2-for-3 with a double and single. He has good hands at shortstop and a strong arm, which played well on the mound where he hit 86 mph and struck out two in his one inning pitched.

Chase Sandman (2016 LHP, Peoria, AZ) is a solid athlete that shows some upside. The compactly built southpaw struck out 9 hitters over 4 innings thanks to a fastball up to 85 mph, a sharp 70 mph curveball, and a 69 mph changeup.
