LHP Daniel Norris (Johnson City, TN) showed why he is the current #1 player in the 2011 class. His fastball was an easy 93-94 mph with life and he showed a nice breaking ball with good shape and bite. He completed his three pitch mix with very nice change up. It was fun to watch him pitch.

 

RHP Marc Frazier (Newnan, GA) worked his fastball up to 89 mph.

 

RHP Devin Over (Windsor, CT) was very good on the mound. His fastball sat 89-90 mph with life and he showed a sharp late breaking slider.

 

RHP Mario Amaral (Hialeah, FL) showed a 88 mph fastball and a nice breaking ball. He also smoked a 2B to the left center gap.

 

CJ Reed (Kennesaw, GA) laced a 2B to the gap and Michael Vigliarolo (Smithtown, NY) also had a hit.

 

RHP Trent Rape (Waller, TX) fastball was up to 88 mph and he showed good feel for all of his pitches.

 

RHP Alex Vierra (Naples, FL) impressed with a fastball that was up to 90 mph.

 

RHP Heath Holder (Loganville, GA) showed a mid 80’s fastball.

 

Jo-El Bennett (Midland City, AL) is a very interesting all around player. He smoked a double in the game and his tools need to be followed.

RHP Blake Burrell (Moreno Valley, CA) was very good. He had a fast arm and his fastball sat 90-92 mph. He also showed good off speed offerings.

 

RHP Alec Sole (Holbrook, NY) was up to 88 mph, while LHP’s Michael and Jeff Boehm (Lansing, IL),Michael Gunn (Wilson, AR) topped out at 88 mph and 86 mph.

 

Connor McKay (Parker, CO) doubled in the game and has very interesting all around tools.

 

Jeff Boehm also singled in the game.

 

Nevin Wilson (Orlando, FL) is a very good LHP pitcher who sat in the high 80’s and showed a sharp late breaking curveball.

 

William Bouey (Olney, MD) showed a loose arm and a 90 mph fastball.

 

Jordan Gross (Franklin Lakes, NJ) showed a mid 80’s fastball and an effective curveball.

 

Shon Carson (Lake City, SC) has very interesting baseball tools and needs to be followed very closely and he had two hits in the game. He is also a big prospect on the football field as a running back.

 

Austin Slater(Jacksonville, FL) drilled a 3B to the left center gap.

 

Kevin White (Earlysville, VA) shows good power and smoked a 2B in the game. Auston Bousfield (Oakland, FL) also doubled.

 

Garrett Schlecht(Milstadt, IL) and TJ Costen (Virginia Beach, VA) singled in the game as well for the Royal team.

RHP Josh Heddinger (Suwanee, GA) showed clean mechanics and topped out at 90 mph with his fastball. His change is a good pitch as well.

 

RHP Nathan Harsh (Brunswick, GA) is a projectable RHP already with a 88 mph fastball.

 

RHP Jake Burnette (Buford, GA) showed a repeatable delivery and an upper 80’s fastball.

 

LHP Jackson Whitley(North Augusta, SC) was up to 86 mph and he also singled in the game.

 

Ty Washington (Richardson, TX), Jeff Schalk (Wheaton, IL), and Porter Clayton (Idaho Falls, ID) all singled for the Red team.

 

LHP’s Kenny Mathews (Diamond Bar, CA), Ryan Padilla (Albuquerque, NM) and Braden Shull (Mount Pleasant, IA) all are interesting projectable pitcher with mid to upper 80’s fastballs.

 

Shawon Dunston (Fremont, CA) laced a doubled down the RF line and has very interesting all around tools.

 

Kenny Mathews, Ryan Padilla, Tyler Goeddel (Hillsbourgh, CA), Juston Camp (Decatur, AL) and Chris McFarland (Lufkin, TX) all singled.

RHP Christian Montgomery’s (Indianapolis, IN) arm works very well and he was pumping 93 mph fastballs.

 

LHP Andrew Hedrick(Polk City, IA) showed a mid 80’s fastball and good pitchability. He pitched for his high school team on Thursday and we have seen him up to 88 mph earlier this spring.

 

Dakota Freese (Cedar Rapids, IA) touched 90 mph.

 

John Gorman (Norwood, MA) can pitch and his fastball was up 89 mph and he showed good feel for his change.

 

Andrew Istler (West Palm Beach, FL) showed a mid 80’s fastball.

 

Mike Papi (Tunkhannock, PA) is a very interesting left handed hitter and went 2-3 and smoked a triple.

Julius Gaines (Locust Grove, GA) is an interesting all around player and singled in the game.

Hunter Lockwood (Bedford, TX), Heath Holder (Loganville, GA), Jo-El Bennett (Midland City, Al)continued to impress with their bats with hits in the game.

Joseph Christopher (Merrick, NY), Michael Clarkson (Oldsmar, FL), Nicholas Molina (Sarasota, FL) and Austin Stone (Port Neches, TX) all looked good showing upper 80’s fastballs.

 

Giovanny Alfonso (Port Saint Lucie, Fl), CJ Reed (Kennesaw, GA), Michael Vigliarolo (Smithtown, NY), Alex Fernandez (Cooper City, FL), Mario Amaral (Hialeah, FL), and AC Carter (Winter Park, FL) all singled in the game.

Hunter Lockwood (Bedford, TX) showed a nice swing and the ball comes off his barrel well.

 

Mike Papi (Tunkhannock, PA) showed a nice simple swing and good power potential.

 

Jo-El Bennett (Midland City, AL) has quick hands that produced hard line drives.

 

Braden Mattson (San Antonio, TX) has good bat speed and very interesting hitting ability and power potential.

 

John Gorman (Norwood, MA) showed good bat speed and power.

 

Heath Holder (Loganville, GA) showed good hitting ability and the ball sounds different coming off his bat.

Mario Amaral (Hialeah, FL) showed a nice easy stroke with good power.

 

Daniel Vogelbach (North Fort Myers, FL) has big power and a nice swing. The ball is loud off his bat.

Joshua Tobias (Greensboro, NC) put on an absolute display in the Rawlings Home Run Challenge. He was hitting absolute bombs that were flying well over the fences at Tropicana including one off the catwalk in left field. He hit eight home runs in the final round to defeat Christian Lopes (Huntington Beach, CA). Lopes made it in to a final after a long battle with Casey Turgeon (Palm Harbor, FL) in a tie breaker to see who would join Tobias in the final round.

Deshorn Lake (Newport News, VA) started the game off and has a lively arm that was pumping 91-94 mph fastballs. He also showed sharp slider.

 

Michael McCall (Gig Harbor, WA, Spencer Drake (Louisville, KY) and Jose Brizuela (Weston, FL) all showcased upper 80’s fastballs.

 

Chris Ellis (Birmingham, AL) fastball was up to 90 mph.

 

Bryce Mosier (El Cajon, CA) impressed going 3-3 in the game.

 

Jason McMurray (West Des Moines, IA) was also very good at the plate going 3-3 including smoking a double down the left field line.

 

Patrick Leonard (St. Johns, FL) is a very good right handed hitter and went 2-3.

 

Cameron Neal (Houston, TX), Jake Junis (Rock Falls, IL), Jose Brizuela (Weston, FL), Ryan Krill (Kalamazoo, MI), Cole Ferguson(Keizer, OR), Vicente Conde(Oviedo, FL), Tyler Coker (Atascocita, TX), Alex Fernandez (Cooper City, FL) and John Gorman (Norwood, MA) all had hits in the game.

 

Luke Crumley(Cleveland, GA) showed a 90 mph fastball.

 

Bryce Lombardi (Napa, CA), Joe and John Mcgillicuddy (Fairfax, VA) and Trevor Fitts(Helena, AL) all showed mid to upper 80’s fastballs.

 

Cameron Capell (Louisburg, NC) had a nice game going 3-4 with 2 doubles.

 

Michael Gunn (Wilson, AR) continues his impressive hitting going 2-3 with a home run.

 

Jeff Boehm (Lansing, IL) went 2-3 with a triple.

RHP Kevin Comer (Shamong, NJ) kicked things off and threw an easy 90-91 mph with a good curveball.

 

RHP John Curtiss (Southlake, TX) was very good and his arm really works. He had no problems sitting 90-92 mph with his fastball and showed a late breaking slider and solid change.

 

LHP Cody Glenn (Houston, TX) showed a loose arm and sat 88-91 mph with his fastball and projects for even more down the road.

 

LHP’s George Carter (Summerfield, NC) and William Flamion (Modesto, CA) both were up to 88 mph.

LHP Porter Clayton (Idaho Falls, ID) was very impressive with a 90 mph fastball and showed good off speed pitches to watch. He needs to be followed very closely.

 

LHP Carlos Rodriguez (Kapolei, HI) showed a 87-88 mph fastball that cuts and was tough on hitters. He was an interesting all around LHP.

 

RHP Jared Ruxer (Indianapolis, IN) showed a lively fastball that was up to 92 mph. He also showed good feel for his change.

 

RHP Christopher England (Boynton Beach, FL)worked his fastball up to 88 mph.

 

Alex Santana (Cape Coral, FL) is very interesting with the bat. He went 2-3 and smoked a double in the gap.

 

Tyler Palmer (Odum, GA) also impressed going 2-3 with a double.

 

Tyler Hunter (Valdosta, GA) crushed a triple to the left center gap that flew of his barrel.

 

Jarred Mederos (Hialeah, FL), Dakota Smith (Leavenworth, KS), Jeff Driskel  (Oviedo, FL), and Jeff Schalk (Wheaton, IL) all singled for the Red team.

 

LHP Shawn Morimando (Virginia Beach, VA) is a very athletic looking pitcher with a high 80’s fastball.

 

RHP David Palladino (Emerson, NJ)is an interesting 6’9 pitcher with a fastball that topped at 88 mph.

 

Jerry Stuckey (Perry, GA) worked his fastball up to 90 mph.

 

Leland Clemmons (Chesapeake, VA) is an interesting all around player and he ripped a double in the game.

RHP Ryan Keller (Castaic, CA) showed a power arm and a 90-91 mph fastball.

 

RHP Jake Reed (La Mesa, CA) showed a loose arm and a lively fastball that was up to 89 mph with more to come. He also showed a good change.

 

Daniel Camarena (Bonita, CA) and Nelson Ward (Marietta, GA) each ripped doubles for the Navy team.

 

Kavin Keyes (Sandy, UT) continues to show his nice swing and good approach to hitting going 2-2.

 

Dylan Davis (Redmond, WA) showed his hitting skills today after throwing 95 mph off the mound earlier by going 2-2 in the game.

 

Eric Snyder (Irvine, CA) continues to impress with the bat. He has squared the ball up each time in the showcase and had another hit in this game.

 

Philip Evans (Carlsbad, CA) continues to hit the ball hard and laced a single in this game.

 

Mason Robins (Leakesville, MS) and Garrett Boulware (Anderson, SC) each hit well this game and had hard hit singles.

 

Jean Ramirez(Fort Worth, TX) and Ryan Garvey (Indian Wells, CA) each singled as well for the Navy team.

 

Sam Bragg (Marietta, GA) worked his fastball up to 89 mph.

 

Michael Jordan (Murrieta, CA) showed good stuff and his fastball topped out at 92 MPH

RHP John Magliozzi (Milton, MA) was dominant in his two innings of work. He struck out 6 hitters in two innings of work with a 92-94 mph fastball and an excellent change up. He can flat out pitch!

 

RHP Jose Cardona (Canoga Park, CA) showed a loose, whippy arm and a 90 mph fastball with good run.

 

RHP Will Finley(Tallahassee, FL) worked his fastball in the upper 80’s and showed a breaking ball with good shape.

 

Deion Williams (Stone Mountain, GA) and Rouric Bridgewater (Pomona, CA) each had singles for the Maroon team.

 

RHP Victor Reyes (Guayanilla, PR) showed a mid 80’s fastball

 

RHP Ben Joseph (New Berry, FL) located his high 80’s fastball well.

 

LHP John Hochstatter (Danville, CA) has a strong pitchers build an showed a upper 80’s fastball and a nice change.

 

Drake Roberts (Washington, TX) laced the only hit given up by Magliozzi and showed good actions in the field.

Mason Snyder (Ottawa, IL) took a good BP and squares the ball up well.
 

William Flamion (Modesto, CA) has a fast bat and the ball jumps off his barrel. Very interesting LH bat.

RHP Joe Ross (Oakland, CA) has an absolutely electric arm. Fastballs fly out of his hand at 92-94 mph. He also showed a sharp low 80’s slider.

 

Robert Stephenson (Martinez, CA) kept the big arms coming as the RHP was up to 93 mph with a fast arm that works well.

 

RHP Justin Camp (Decatur, AL) was very good as well with a 88-91 mph fastball that has good run on it.

 

Kevin Kramer (Turlock, CA) smoked a opposite field double to the left center gap off of a 93 mph fastball.

 

William Flamion (Modesto, CA) is a very interesting left handed bat to watche very closely as he squared the ball up well in the game.

 

Mason Snyder (Ottawa, IL) and Dylan Delso (Broken Arrow, OK) also singled for the Orange team.

 

RHP Jared Fisher (Bellevue, WA) started for the Purple team and had a nice controlled delivery and his fastball topped at 91 mph. He also showed an interesting cutter.

 

RHP Ricardo Jacquez  (El Paso, TX) may not be big in stature but he has a big time arm. He has an incredibly fast arm that produced 94 mph fastballs.

 

Thomas Robson (Delta, BC) is a big RHP that was up to 89 mph today with more to come.

 

Blake Swihart (Rio Rancho, NM) can flat out hit. He went 2-2 against very good pitching and had very good at bats.

LHP Philip Pfeifer (Knoxville, TN) can flat out pitch. He commands a 91 mph fastball well and showed a curveball with sharp late break.

 

RHP Garrett Nuss(Sorrento, FL) fastball was up to 92 mph and he also showed a nice change.

 

RHP Michael Kelly (Boynton Beach, FL) was outstanding with a fast easy arm. His fastball was up to 94 mph with good life.

 

Sean Trent (Maitland, FL) and Roughed Odor (Venezuela) both laced singles for the Royal team.

 

RHP Luke Weaver (Deland, FL) was very good with clean mechanics and a 92 mph fastball. He also showed a good change up.

Dillon Maples (West End, NC) started off for the Kelly Green and was outstanding. His fastball was up to 95 mph and he showed a sharp breaking 82 mph curveball.

 

Barrett O’Neill (Ashland, MA) showed a lively 88 mph fastball and had good break on his curveball.

 

Tyler Beede (Auburn, MA) showed a very impressive four pitch mix. His fastball was 90-92 mph with an easy arm action. He showed two good breaking balls and a very good change up.

 

Brady Anderson (Arcadia, FL), Tyler Servais (Larkspur, CO), Blake Sydeski (Edgewater, FL) and BreShon Kimbell (Mesquite, TX) all had hits for the Kelly Green team.

 

Adam Griffin (Clemmons, NC) openend things up for the Black team with a fastball that was up to 92 mph.

 

Benton Moss (Enfield, NC) came in next and was 88-91 mph.

 

Devin Perry (Newtonville, MA) showed projectable velocity and was already up to 89 mph with a nice curveball.

LHP Andrew Chin (Newton, MA) kicked things off for the Columbia Blue team and impressed with good pitchability and a fastball that was up to 90 mph.

 

RHP Mason Hope (Broken Arrow, OK) showed a lively 89-91 mph fastball and two good breaking balls. An 80 mph sliders and 73 mph sharp curveball.

 

RHP David Ernst (Fargo, ND) showed a fast arm and his fastball reached 89 mph.

 

RHP Jakob Junis (Rock Falls, IL) arm works well with easy fastball velocity as he was up to 90 mph.

 

Patrick Leonard (St. Johns, FL) is a good all around player and doubled in the game.

 

Nick Bruno (Wyckoff, NJ) squared the ball up in both of his at bats.

 

Drew Stiner (Sand Springs, OK) looked good with the bat and two balls came off his barrel well.

 

Dominic Jose (Lake Worth, FL), Brandon Sedell (Cooper City, FL), Cameron Neal (Houston, TX), Spencer O’Neil (Kennewick, WA) and JoMarcos Woods (Orlando, FL) all had hits for Columbia Blue)

RHP Kyle Smith (Lake Worth, FL) started for the Gold team and can flat out pitch. His fastball was 88-91 mph and showed a very good curveball that he commanded well. He also flashed a solid change up.
 

RHP Joey Ceja (Ottawa, IL) dominated hitters with easy velocity that registered 90-92 mph. He showed a solid curveball and will be one to follow very closely.
 

RHP Carson Baranik (Bossier City, LA) continued the strong run of Gold pitching working his fastball 89-91mph with life. His off speed stuff was very good with a sharp biting breaking ball and real good change up.
 

LHP Harris Rome (Houston, TX) closed things out with a smooth delivery and a fastball that was 85-86 mph.
 

Elvin Soto (New York , NY) smoked a line drive single and Scott Heineman (Pacific Palisades, CA) also had a single.
 

Navy
 

Hawtin Buchanan (Biloxi, MS) is a 6’8 RHP with a low 90’s fastball that gets on you quick.
 

Matthew Oset (Ocoee, FL) showed an upper 80’s fastball.
 

Two LHP’s Chaz Hebert (Breaux  Bridge, LA) and Mason Robbins (Leakesville, MS) each were up to 89 mph for the Maroon team.

RHP Jose Fernandez (Tampa, FL) kicked things off in the final game of the day and was very good as his fastball sat in the low 90’s and topped out at 95 mph. He showed a fast power arm and a sharp breaking ball as well.

 

RHP Collin Chapman (Leander, TX) was next for Columbia Blue and his fastball was 88-90 mph. His curveball was also sharp with good depth.

 

RHP David Lucroy (Umatilla, FL) showed a 89 mph with run at times.

 

RHP Danny Heim (St. Louis, MO) closed things out with a fastball that topped out at 88 mph and a sharp slider.

 

Brandon Sedell (Cooper City, FL) continued to impress with the bat with a hit in the game.

 

Cameron Neal (Houston, TX) showed a nice compact swing and went 1-2 in the game.

 

Jose Brizuela (Weston, FL) smoked a doubled down the right field line.

 

Justin Shafer (Lake Wells, FL) showed a live fastball that topped out at 88 mph this outing. He also went 2-2 with the bat.

LHP Javier Reynoso (Tampa, FL) pitched second for the Maroon team and showed a fast arm that works well. His fastball was 89-90 mph and he made quick work of hitters.

 

RHP Eric Holdren (Las Vegas, NV) was very good with a 89-91 mph fastball and a nice feel for pitching. His change up impressed as well.

 

 RHP Reggie McClain (Johns Creek, GA) arm worked well with a smooth delivery and his fastball sat 88-90 mph.

 

Dwight Smith (Peachtree City, GA) went 1-2 with a leadoff single.

 

Brett Harrison (Henderson, NV) went 1-2 with a stolen base.

LHP Daniel Camarena (Bonita, CA) started things off for the Navy team and worked his fastball up 89 mph. He showed an excellent change up and is a polished LHP.

 

RHP Dylan Davis (Redmond, WA) was outstanding with an easy repeatable delivery and a fastball that was 92-95 mph. He also showed a nice slider with sharp break.

 

RHP Patrick Connaughton (Arlington, MA) is a very interesting pitcher who sat 89-91 mph from different arm angles. His fastball showed good sink at times and he was getting in on hitters hands.

 

LHP Max Homick (San Diego , CA) showed a low effort delivery and a 86-88 mph fastball that showed good sink at times.

 

Eric Snyder (Irvine, CA) went 1-2 with a leadoff single.

 

Phillip Evans (Carlsbad, CA) squared the ball up well and went 1-2. He is very good defensively at SS and showed a nice feel for the game.
