Taylor Allum (2013 RHP, Grayson H.S., Grayson, GA.) went 8 innings and lead the 6-4-3 DP Cougars to a 5-1 victory. Allum topped out at 84 and sat at 81-83 MPH with a curveball at 67-70 MPH, and a change at 71-74 MPH. Allum is a tall strong kid with a quick tempo on the mound. Allum uses a 3/4 arm slot, gets ahead, and has good command.
Adam Bleday (2013 LHP, Titusville Area H.S., Titusville, PA.) topped out at 83 MPH while sitting at 79-82, and a curveball at 69-73. Bleday has a medium build, 3/4 arm slot, some arm side run on his fastball, and good deception.

Cheyne Bickel (2013 RHP, The Benjamin School, North Palm Beach, FL.) topped out at 87 MPH while sitting at 83-86 on his fastball, his curveball was at 67-70 MPH, and a 75 change. Bickel has a slender build, medium arm action, 3/4 arm slot, and an 11-5 curveball that has bite.
KBC topples NVTBL in thriller >>

The Kentucky Baseball Club needed extra innings to bring down the No. 1 WWBA 15U tournament seed Sunday morning, beating the NVTBL Stars, 6-5, less than 24 hours after rain and lighting Saturday afternoon forced suspended play.

KBC knotted the score at 3-3 in the sixth inning and then put up three in the eighth during a tiebreaker to advance to the semifinals. OF Nick Chafin (2012 Lexington Catholic HS, K.Y.) capped the rally with a RBI single. Chafin went 2-for-3 with two singles to help lead the KBC offense.

Kentucky RHP Clinton Hollon closed the final three innings, touching 90 mph in the process. He allowed two runs in the eighth during the tiebreaker and struck out the side in the seventh to force extra innings.

After heavy rain and lightning suspended play Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Prospects advanced to Sunday's semifinal round with a 7-1 win over the Houston Banditos Black squad.

OF Adam Bleday (2013 Titusville Area HS, Penn.) and OF Matt Railey (2014 North Florida Christian HS, Fla.) both tallied multiple hits to lead the Prospects' offense. Bleday went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, while Railey went 2-for-2 with two singles.

RHP Zach Ryan (2013 Andrean HS, Ind.) pitched a complete game for the Prospects, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. He touched 88 mph and sat between 84-87, showing both a 4-seam and a 2-seam fastball.

Banditos RHP Jovan Hernandez (2012 Rockawll Heath HS, Texas) also lit up the radar gun, topping out at 88 and sitting between 81-87.
Conley, Ewing lead Team Georgia >>

1B Bryce Conley (2013 Alpharetta HS, Ga.) and OF Dalton Ewing (2014 Milton HS, Ga.) both went 2-for-3 with two singles apiece to help Team Georgia to a 9-1, third-round playoff win at Centennial High School.

Conely stayed inside the ball well and showed nice plate discipline and a great two-strike approach. Ewing showed aggressiveness at the plate, good bat speed, and proved to be a hustler on the field.
Stevens hits 82 MPH >>
Brock Stevens of the Strike Zone Rebels (2013 RHP, Trinity Presbyterian H.S., Montgomery, AL.) topped out at 82 MPH this afternoon. Stevens sat at 75-79 on his fastball, 68-71 with his curveball, and a 71-72 change. Stevens is a tall athletic kid, with a 3/4 arm slot, and good arm side run on his fastball.

Four Blaze Baseball hitters recorded multiple hits in a 15-0 win at Pope High School. OF Jake Littleton (2013 Daniel Boone HS, Tenn.) went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double. C Zachary Roddy (2013 Asheville Christian HS, N.C.) went 2-for-3 with a single and a 3-RBI double. 3B Zack Gahagan (2014 North Henderson HS, N.C.) and SS Dyaln Parris (2012 West Henderson HS, N.C.) both went 2-for-2 with two singles.

Gahagan showed good base-running instincts and came out of the box hard. Parris showed a good swing, soft hands, and sound fundamentals.

Jamal Cummings was 2-3 with 1 run scored, and 1 stolen base for the Scoutz. Cummings has an athletic build, makes solid contact, and hustles on the field.
Rya Beasley was 2-2 with 2 doubles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI. Beasley has an athletic build, good hands, and good pop in his bat.

Jake Jarvis of the Houston Banditos Black (2014 RHP, Tomball H.S., Tomball, TX.) sat at 83-85 MPH on his fastball and topped out at 87 with a 64-68 curveball and a 77-81 cutter. Jarvis has a medium build with a 3/4 arm slot, clean mechanics, arm side run on his fastball, and a solid break on his curveball.
Jovan Hernandez led his team on offense going 2-2 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, and 2 stolen bases. Hernandez has a strong build, with good bat speed.

Austin Sexton (RHP 2013, Sparkman H.S., Madison, AL.) topped out at 82 MPH sitting at 80-81 with a slider at 69-72. Sexton uses a high 3/4 arm slot, with a 10-4 sweeping slider.
Jordan Barnes led the Dodgers on offense going 3-3 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI'S. Barnes has a lean build, with a level swing.

Josh Bartley (2013 RHP, Greenwood H.S., Bowling Green, KY.) threw a perfect game in the Prospects 8-0 win. Bartley topped out at 87 MPH on his fastball sitting at 84-86, with a slider at 69-72 and a 69-72 change. Bartley has a medium athletic build, with short arm action, and a quick tempo. He also has a repeatable motion, with some arm side run on his fastball, and a late breaking slider. Bartley also helped himself out at the plate going 2-3 with an RBI. Bartley is a left-handed hitter with good bat speed, and power potential.

The Kentucky Baseball Club won 5-4 to advance to the quarterfinals later today. Clinton Hollon came on to save the game for Kentucky topping out at 90 MPH. Hollon sat at 87-89 MPH, with a curveball at 76-77. Hollon has an athletic build, live arm, and a 11-5 curveball with some 2 plane break.

RHP John Goodman (2014 Luella HS, Ga.) did just enough to help the BigStix Gamers advance to the Round of 16 during a 4-3 win at Kell High School. Goodman showed good direction, a nice 76-mph change up, plus command, and plenty of potential in his six-plus innings of work. He allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out five, touching 83 mph and sitting between 81-82.

Meanwhile, Dirtbags SS Wood Myers (2013 Charles E. Jordan HS, N.C.) went 3-for-3 with three singles — one hit registering 89 off the bat. RHP Cameron Snow (2013 Riverside HS, N.C.) and LHP Matt Orth (2012 SW Guilford HS, N.C.) both topped out at 84. Orth showed late life on his fastball, medium arm action, and a good 1-7, 72-mph curve that had some bite.
Tucker, Hardin lead Dulin at plate >>

OF Shane Tucker (2013 MUS, Tenn.) and 2B Tyler Hardin (2013 University School, Tenn.) both went 3-for-4 to lead the Dulin Dodgers to a 13-3, first-round WWBA playoff win. Tucker (6-0, 180 pounds) hit three singles in the lead-off spot, showing good speed on the bases, a rotational swing, and plus range in the outfield.

Hardin tallied a single and two triples, flashing outstanding hands and patience at the plate. He is listed at 5-10, 170 pounds 
Dirtbags putout Heat >>

RHP Colin Dubose (2012 C B Aycock HS, N.C.) and RHP Matt Dale (2013 SW Guilford HS, N.C.) combined for a five-inning two-hit shutout to give the Dirtbags 10-0, first-round playoff win. Dubose touched 84 mph, sat between 79-83, and struck out three through the first three innings. He showed a good down-plane delivery, good life, clean mechanics, and quick first during his pickoff move. Dubose worked quickly and changed his speeds effectively.

Dale pitched the final two innings, showing good out-front extension, a pretty loose arm, and a 11-5, 65-mph curve.

Meanwhile, 1B Matt Orth (2012 SW Guilford HS, N.C.) went 2-for-2 with a double and a three-run home run to lead the Dirtbags at the plate, showing a solid swing and good bat speed.

OF Griffin Ganick (2013 Brentwood Academy, Tenn.) went 2-for-2 with a single and a RBI double to help Legends Baseball secure a 7-5 win and move on to the second round of the WWBA 15U championship playoffs. Ganick has a tall, thin build at 5-10, 165 pounds. He showed an open stance and a deep crouch at the plate.
Copperheads bite Road Island >>

Dylan Bittingham (2012 Northside HS, Ga.) went 2-for-4 with a RBI single and a solo home run during a 9-2 win for the Team Columbus Copperheads. Bittingham showed good bat speed, turning on an inside fastball nicely to tally his sixth-inning homer.

OF Taylor Harper (2013 Columbus HS, Ga.) also hit well and showed some pop, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. He displayed good bat speed as well, leading with the knob of his bat during his swing.

Meanwhile, RHP Chad Sheppard (2013 Brookstone HS, Ga.) pitched a complete game for Columbus and touched 84 mph. Sheppard allowed two runs on two hits — back-to-back first-inning singles — and struck out five. He is listed a 6-2, 200-pound pitcher only.

Dudek has a smooth swing, and makes solid contact.  
Ivey hits 84 in Round 1 win >>
RHP Grayson Ivey (2013 Winder Barrow HS, Ga.) pitched four solid innings to help the Team Elite Black squad to 6-3 first-round playoff win, touching 84 mph in the process. Ivey showed outstanding mechanics, very nice movement on his fastball, and a very good 74-mph curve. He allowed one run on one hit and struck out two, facing six batters over the minimum.
Bishop leads Tidewater Drillers to the round of 16 >>

Turner Bishop (2013 LHP, Kellam H.S., Virginia Beach, VA.) topped out at 84 MPH and sat at 81-83 while having a slider at 67-69, and a 71-73 change. Bishop has a 3/4 arm slot, mixes his speed well, and has good movement on his fastball. Bishop was also 2-3 at the plate with 1 run scored.

RHP Tripp Rollins (2013 Andrew Jackson HS, S.C.) hit 89 mph and sat between 85-88 in one inning of relief during a 5-3 first-round playoff win for the Canes South. Rollins showed good run on his fastball, good arm speed, an effortless delivery, and smooth mechanics. He pitched lights out for an inning, striking out one.
Braves National advance to sweet 16 >>
Jack Roberts (RB/3B) 2-3 1 run scored, 2 RBI'S to help the Richmond Braves National to a 8-0 victory. Roberts is a tall strong kid, has good bat speed, and makes contact.
Hollond helps KBC through Round 1 >>

RHP Clinton Hollon (2013 Lafeyette HS, K.Y.) went 2-for-3 and closed out a 3-2 first-round playoff win for the Kentucky Baseball Club.

Hollon hit a single and a RBI double in the No. 4 hole for KBC and pitched the final 1 2/3 innings, shutting out the Ohio Elite and topping out at 91 mph. He showed balance, a good swing path, and good bat speed at the plate, and plus arm speed, a loose arm, and a tight-spinning 73-mph curve.

Ryan Spaulding was 2-2 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 triple, and 4 RBI'S to help lead the Indiana Prospects to a 13-0 victory. Spaulding has good instincts, good footwork on defense, soft hands, and a good arm at short.
Joe Dudek was 2-3 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 stolen base, and 2 RBI'S. Dudek has a good build, good speed, and drove the baseball.  Dudek was also the starting pitcher for the prospects and topped out at 84 while sitting at 81-83.
Jarmon hits 87 in Arsenal15u blue victory >>
Jamie Jarmon (2012 RHP, Indian River H.S., Milsboro) topped out at 87 MPH today in Tri-State Arsenal's 13-5 victory. Jarmon sat between 84-86 on his fastball, 72-74 on his curveball, and 77 on his change. He has a tall athletic frame, with a smooth delivery, easy effort, high 3/4 arm slot. Jarmon attacks the strike zone, and likes to throw inside to hitters.
Kirkpatrick hits 84 in Titans win >>

Bruce Kirkpatrick (2013 RHP, McEachern H.S., Powder Springs, GA.) lead the East Cobb Titans15u to a 11-1 victory in their opening round playoff game. Kirkpatrick hit 84 MPH on his fastball while sitting at 81-83 with a curveball at 65-67 and a change at 73-74. Kirkpatrick is a big athletic kid, who uses a low 3/4 arm slot.
Helping pace the Titans on offense was Duane Underwood who was 2-4 with 3 runs scored, and 3 RBI'S. Underwood has an athletic build, and is fluid on defense.
Mohr, Wenson lead South Farmington >>
OF Connor Mohr (2013 Farmington HS, Mich.) went 2-for-4 with a double and a first-inning lead-off home run during a 8-2 win over the Dallas Patriots. Mohr showed balance at the plate, a smooth swing, and some pop. He is a strong 6-1, 185-pound right-handed hitter/left-handed thrower.

C Harrison Wenson (2013 University of Detroit Jesuit, Mich.) went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, a RBI single and a triple, showing a strong swing and a long finish. He also looked good behind the plate, proving to be a quiet receiver — definitely someone to follow over the next couple years.
Brooks hits 91  >>
Stephen Brooks (2012 RHP, Deep Run H.S., Glen Allen, VA.) topped 91 in the Richmond Braves National opening round victory this morning. Brooks's fastball was sitting at 84-87 with a curveball that was 68-70. Brooks has a big strong build, and works quick on the mound. He has a heavy fastball, which has arm side run.
Anderson and Whitty dual it out in Nokona Win >>

Evan Anderson (2013 LHP) struck out 14 in the Woodlands Banditos loss today. Anderson topped out at 84 MPH white consistently staying at 80-83 with a 69-73 curveball and a 73 change. Anderson who has a good frame, athletic build, uses a 3/4 arm slot, with good run on his fastball and a tight rotation on his 2-8 curveball.
Troy Witty threw a complete game 5 hitter for the Nokona Baseball win. Witty (2012 RHP, Oliver Ames H.S., Easton, MA.) topped out at 87 MPH while sitting at 84-86 with a 68-71 curveball and a 75-78 change. Witty has a big athletic frame, uses an high 3/4 arm slot, with good mechanics. Witty has good run on his fastball, and his curveball is 10-4 with decent break.
Marucci 15u win tough battle with Gamers Gray >>

Brendan DePoy was 3-3 with 1 double, 1 stolen base, and 2 RBI'S to keep the St. Louis Gamers in their game this afternoon. DePoy has a good build, good swing, and has some pop.

Parker Henderson was 2-2 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, and 3 RBI'S to help lead the Charlotte Megastars to a 10-2 victory. Henderson gets great extension at the plate and has good power.
Also helping the Megastars was Justin Strong going 2-2 with 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI. Strong has a good upper body and a good swing.

Manderson pitched the first five innings, striking out three and allowing the lone hit — a one-out single in the fifth by BL Bombers 1B Houston Davenport. Manderson showed good arm speed, good focus, and smooth mechanics.

Wade Arduini went 2-2 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, and 2 RBI'S for the NVTBL Stars today. Arduini has good bat speed, lets the ball travel to him, and is instinctive on the bases.

Hayne showed a good swing, quick hands, and plus bat speed. He jumped on a two-seam fastball for his left-field homer. He also showed solid catch-and-throw mechanics and a quick release on defense.

Meanwhile, Roberts showed some arm-side run on his fastball and good arm speed. He changes between a 3/4 slot and a low 3/4 slot with good swing from the lower position. He showed nice projectability and tools to imptove as well.

Carr tallied two singles and two triples, squarely hitting the ball well. He also showed agility at third base and has an athletic, lean build at 6-2, 200 pounds.

Meanwhile, Sampen (5-10, 140 pounds) hit two singles, a double and a no-doubter two-run home run that went an estimated 380 feet, according to the PG field scout. He extended well, showed a short swing, and intelligence at the plate.

Both are players to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Boswell (5-8, 1 40 pounds) pitched a complete seven-inning game and showed solid command, good arm speed on his 74-mph change up, very nice mechanics, and an effortless delivery. He allowed one run on two hits — both singles.

Boswell also went 2-for-3 at the plate, hitting a first-inning lead-off double and a single. SS Weston Wilson (2013 Wesleyan HS, N.C.) also went 2-for-3 with a single and a double. Wilson proved to be a difficult out at the plate and showed confidence in his defensive abilities.

He boasts a big 6-0, 185-pound frame and showed good mechanics, a fast arm, and a good 70-mph change up that had nice run and sink. He also threw a sharp 3-8, 70-mph slider that appeared to move more like a cutter.

1B Brooks Austin (2013 Landmark Christian School, Ga.) went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double — each driving in a run — to lead the Home Plate Chili Dogs to a 15-2 win over Gators Baseball-Cervantez. Austin showed a good swing and has above-average size at 5-11, 200 pounds.

Meanwhile, 3B Chris Chaphe (2013 Starr's Mill HS, Ga.) and C Hunter Bening (2013 Whitewater HS, Ga.) both went 2-for-3. Chaphe hit two singles and showed a good swing, while Bening hit a single and a 2-RBI double and showed an ability to hit to all fields.

Clinton Hollon (2013 RHP, Lexington H.S., Lexington, KY.) 6'0'' 170 was sitting at 87-90 topping out at 91MPH today at the East Cobb Complex.
Hollon allowed only 2 hits, and had 10 strikeouts while walking 3 in 6 innings. Hollon has am athletic build, with short arm action, and quick through. His fastball has life to it and threw a slider with good late break at 77-80MPH. He also has a change-up at 75-77, a curveball at 72-74 and a 2-seam fastball at 84-85.

Evan Fraliex (Kentucky Baseball Club/short stop) was 3-4 at the plate. Fraliex hits third in the lineup and scored a run as well as having an RBI. Fraliex has good footwork in the field, a solid build and has a 4.83 home to first time.

Jimmy Wright (Kentucky Baseball Club/Catcher) was 2-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI'S. Wright has a big swing with good plate coverage, and works for his pitcher behind the plate.

Nathaniel Maggio was 2-3 on the day for the Astros scoring 2 runs as well. Maggio is a first baseman with a big strong build.

Connor Justus was 2-2 with a run scored, and 2 runs batted in. Justus who was the starting short stop for the Astros today, has good actions in the field and was clocked at 4.25 home to first.

Ben Chauvin (2013 Home Schooled, La.) went 4-for-5 with two singles, a RBI double, and a two-run home run to lead the Marucci Elite to a 15-6 win. Chauvin has a slender, medium build at 5-10, 160 pounds. He showed some strength in his swing and hit the ball where it was pitched. He had a smooth, easy swing as well. On defense, Chauvin proved to be a solid third baseman as well.

Paul Roppolo (2013 Catholic HS, La.) also homered for Marucci to go 3-for-4. He also tallied two RBI singles. At 5-9, 160 pounds, he is a strong athlete.

Meanwhile, Richmond Braves American 2013 2B Jordan Schmeer (2013 Benedictine HS, Va.) also hit well, going 2-for-4 with a RBI single and a double. At 5-4, 125 pounds, Schmeer is a small pesky hitter who has a line-drive left-handed hitter. He registered a 4.89 home-to-first time as well.

Excel Blue Rays CF Cole Billingsley (2012 Pell City HS, Ala.) also hit well, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a stolen base. Billingsley reached base on a nice drag bunt and showed hard contact at the plate. He also made a nice diving catch on defense.

2B Zack Lovvorn (2012 Oxford HS, Ala.) went 2-for-3 with two singles as well, showing a nice swing.
