2012 LHP Rock Rucker (Seale, AL, Russell County HS) has a projectable build and ran his fastball up to 89 mph. We have seen him up to 92 mph in the past.

2012 LHP Brian Daphney (Palm Harbor, FL, Tarpon Springs) showed a nice arm action and ran his fastball up to 89 mph. Interesting pitcher that we are not aware of a college commitment for him.

2012 RHP Dakota Miller (Cedar Rapids, IA) showed arm strength and pitched 86-88 mph.

RHP Dakota Freese impressed running his fastball up to 94 mph and showing pretty good feel for his off speed pitches.

RHP Corey Embree (Maplewoods CC) showed good arm strength touching 91 mph on the mound.

RHP Callahan Brown (Jupiter, FL HS) is an interesting RHP who ran his fastball up to 89 mph. He has signed with Mississippi State.

LHP JD Nielsen (Winterset, IA, Martensdale St. Marys HS) pitched in the mid 80's and projects for more. He has signed with Illinois

2012 RHP Alec Rash (Adel, IA, ADM HS) with a very good 1st inning sitting 93-95 mph with a solid 84 mph slider. Absolutely electric arm.

2012 RHP Carlos Pena (Columbus, OH) is an interesting big, strong RHP and was up to 91 mph today. He touched 92 mph last week in the Spring League.

2012 RHP Tyler Peyton (Grimes, IA, Dallas Center Grimes HS) pitched 87-90 mph and showed good potential with his breaking ball he has signed with Iowa Central CC.

2012 left handed hitter Tony DiMartino (Alamo, CA, Monte Vista HS) had a very good 2nd AB of the showcase as he turned on a fastball and drilled it over the right field fence. Very interesting bat.

IA, MT arms both show 90 mph fastballs. >>

Calvin Mathews (Bloomfield, IA, Davis County HS) fastball was up to 92 mph today early on for the Red team. He has signed with Iowa.

Caleb Frare (Miles City, MT, Custer County HS) is a very interesting LHP and he showed a 90 mph fastball early on for Navy team. He is signed with Utah.

Morningside RHP Storm Throne is a very interesting big 6'7 RHP and his fastball was up to 93 mph today. His curveball was 75 mph.

Mayville State RHP Nick Anderson was up to 91 mph for the Navy Team. Also showed a 80 mph change and 76 mph curveball.

First two pitchers both up to 91 mph. >>

2012 RHP Kevin Elder (Burlington, IL,) continues to show well this spring and was up to 91 mph today. He is headed to Arizona.

College RHP Tristan Heckerl (Menlo College) also was up to 91 mph and showed a nice breaking ball.

Avery Romero, Alexis Rivera and Dylan Smith had very good first at bats making hard contact.

2012 Ben Johnson (Austin, TX, Westwood HS) impressed in BP as the ball comes off his barrel well and he showed interesting power potential.

2012 Joshua Almonte (Corona, NY, Long Island HS) showed good raw hitting tools and launched one over the LF wall. Very interesting all around tools.

2012 Ismael Sanchez (Bayamon, PR) showed good bat speed and power potential. Very good juice in his bat from both sides of the plate

2012 Dakota Miller (Cedar Rapids, IA) showed good power from the right side.

Zach Nichols (Southeastern CC, IA) showed very good strength in this swing and ball jumped hard off his barrel. He smoked a HR 400+ feet to left center in BP.

2012 Nathan Mikolas (Kenosha, WI, Bradford HS) showed a very fast bat and the ball jumps off his barrel. He has big power potential and lauched a few well over the RF fence. One of the better left handed bats in country.

2012 West Tunnell (Anthem, AZ, Boulder Creek HS) showed a smooth swing with bat speed.

2013 Sam Mrstik (Iowa City, IA HS) showed a nice swing and the ball comes off his bat well.
