The East Cobb Braves 17U got on the board early and never looked back in their 7-4 win over Marlins Scout Team/Storm in the championship game.  The Braves lineup was led by Georgia Tech commit 2013 Keenan Innis (Cumming, GA, Blessed Trinity) who went 2-4 with two steals and a run driven in.  Innis has excellent speed and projects as a lead-off type hitter.  2014 Dalton Ewing (Alpharetta, GA, Milton) hit a solo homerun for East Cobb.  2013 Danny Blanco (Jacksonville, FL, Arlington Country Day) added a triple that drove in a run.  

2013 Zach Flowers (Middletown, DE, Salesiansium) got the start on the mound for the Braves and pitched 5.2 innings to earn the win.  Flowers was able to scatter seven hits and limited the Marlins Scout Team/Storm lineup to three runs.  Flowers' fastball topped out at 88mph in the game.  

Marlins lead-off hitter 2012 Kevin Brantley (Apopka, FL, Wekiva) went 3-4 and scored once in the game.  Brantley, a Hofstra recruit,  had a sound approach at the plate and showed a quick bat.  2012 Vincent Jackson (McDonough, GA, Luella) went 2-3 in the game with a double and driving in one run.  2012 Christopher Chinea (Miami, FL, Gulliver Prep) went 2-3 with a double for Marlins.

Marlins Scout Team/Storm faced an early deficit but came back to beat the West Coast Nine Devils 9-4 to advance to the championship game.  Marlins were led by 2012 David Leiderman (Merrick, NY, Bellmore JFK) who went 2-3 with 3 RBIs.  Leiderman had a sound approach at the plate and showed excellent bat speed.  They also got a solid performance from 2012 Jovan Hernandez (Heath, TX, Rockwall Heath) who went 2-3 with a double and two runs driven in.  2012 Terrence Connely (Garden City, NY, Chaminade) went 2-3 with a double and scored twice in the game.   

2012 Andrew Tomasovich (Ft. Mill, SC, Ft. Mill) was sharp in three innings in relief for Marlin Scout Team/Storm.  Tomasovich did not allow a run and surrendered just one hit.  The lefty struck out three hitters.  Tomasovich relies mainly on his 83-86mph fastball.  

The West Coast Nine Devils lineup was led by 2012 Trevor Beeman (Bradonton, FL, Manatee) who went 3-4 with a triple and two doubles.  Beeman is a gap hitter that runs very well.  Beeman finishes the tournament with a .481 batting average collecting eight extra-base hits.  Knoll went 2-3 and drove in a run for West Coast Nine Devils.

The East Cobb Braves will advance to championship game due to a rules violation that forced Naturals Florida to forfeit in Friday's semifinal game.  Braves starting pitcher 2012 Chad Mabini (Alpharetta, GA, St. Pius X) pitched five strong innings.  Mabini allowed thre runs (two earned) and scattered four hits.  The right-hander struck out three hitters and did a nice job of working out of trouble.  Mabini uses a 79-84mph fastball and a good slider.  

2013 Travis Demeritte (Statham, GA, Winder Barrow) had a double and drove in a run for East Cobb.  Demeritte is very sound defensively in the infield and has a great arm.  2013 Nathaniel Maggio (Alpharetta, GA, Blessed Trinity Catholic) went 1-2 with a run scored and a run driven in.  

Naturals Florida was led by 2013 Jeffrey Musser (Centenial, FL) went 2-3 in the game.  2011 Tyler Sanchez (Port St. Lucie, FL, Port St. Lucie) drove in a run and scored once himself.  Sanchez ends the tournament with an outstanding .579 batting average.

Seth Martinez (2013, Sunrise Mountain, Peoria, AZ) pitched a complete game to help the #1 seeded Marlins Scout Team/Storm defeat the #16 seeded Florida Pokers 18U White. The Marlins Scout Team/Storm will face the #8 seeded Mizuno Edge tonight at 6 PM. Martinez struck out nine without allowing an earned run or a walk. He had good command and was around the plate with all his pitches. Martinez attacked hitters with an online, balanced delivery. He also had good command of his fastball, which ranged from 83-85 and peaked at 86 mph.

Vahn Bozoian (2012, Ayala, Chino Hills, CA) went 2-3 at the plate for the Marlins Scout Team/Storm. Bozoian doubled and drove in a run. He is an aggressive hitter with a confident approach at the plate, allowing him to make very hard contact and drive the ball with regular contact.

Anthony Prehaska went 2-3 to lead the Florida Pokers 18U White offense. Prehaska doubled and scored a run. He is aggressive hitter with a quick bat, allowing him to have power potential.

Elipkowski threw a shutout to help the #12 seeded West Coast Nine Devils pull off their second upset of the day. This time they defeated the #4 seeded Texas Sun Devils. The West Coast Nine Devils will face the #1 seeded Marlins Scout Team/Storm at 11:30 AM tomorrow. Elipkowski struck out six without giving up a run. He pitched downhill and had a short arm action that helped him throw a fastball that ranged from 76-81 and peaked at 83 mph.

Charles Sandberg (2012, Manatee, Bradenton, FL) went 1-4 at the plate for the West Coast Nine Devils. Sandberg doubled and drove in a run. His double was his fourth of the tournament.

Taylor Butler (2012, Barbe, Lake Charles, LA) pitched 5.2 solid innings in relief for the Texas Sun Devils. Butler struck out seven and only walked two batters. His fastball ranged from 85-88 mph.

Travis Demeritte (2013, Winder Barrow, Statham, GA) pitched four solid innings to help the #6 seeded East Cobb Braves 17U defeat #14 seeded SCORE International 4-3. The East Cobb Braves 17U will face #10 seeded Naturals Florida tomorrow at 11:30 AM. Demeritte struck out three batters and only allowed one earned run. He threw a fastball that ranged from 86-90 and peaked at 91 mph.

Dalton Ewing (2014, Milton, Alpharetta, GA) went 2-4 at the plate for the East Cobb Braves 17U. Ewing also drove in a run. He raised his tournament batting average to .368.

Kevin Merrell (2014, Steinbrenner, Odessa, FL) went 2-4 to lead SCORE International's offense. Merrell also knocked in two runs. He raised his tournament batting average to .429.

Tyler Sanchez (2011, Port St. Lucie, Port St. Lucie, FL) went 2-3 to help #10 seeded Naturals Florida win 10-8 over #15 seeded Cannons Baseball. Naturals Florida will move on to face the #6 seeded East Cobb Braves 17U in the semifinals tomorrow at 11:30 AM. Sanchez doubled, drove in three runs, and scored once. He has a confident approach at the plate and displays his power potential when he drives the ball with regular contact.

In addition, James DeAcetis (2011, Centennial, Port St. Lucie, FL) went 2-3 at the plate for Naturals Florida. DeAcetis was able to knock in three runs. He raised his tournament batting average to .333.

Jonathan Camp (2012, Ft. Meade, Ft. Meade, FL) went 1-3 to lead Cannons Baseball's offense. Camp homered, drove in two runs, and scored a run. He had a fluid stroke, excellent bat speed, and lift in his swing. Camp has lighttower power and makes very hard contact with the ball. He also pitched 0.1 innings and showed his mound presence and his explosive fastball, which ranged from 86-89 and peaked at 90 mph.

Also, Charlie Klein (2012, Mariner, Cape Coral, FL) went 1-2 at the plate for Cannons Baseball. Klein homered, drove in two runs, and scored once. Klein displayed his live bat and showed that he could be a middle of the order run producer.

The Marlins Scout Team/Storm will face the #12 seeded West Coast Nine in the semifinals tomorrow at 11:30 AM. Jackson drove in a run and also scored a run. He raised his tournament batting average to .286.

In addition, Christopher Chinea (2012, Gulliver Prep, Miami, FL) went 1-3 at the plate for the Marlins Scout Team/Storm. Chinea knocked in three runs and scored once. His tournament batting average is at .375.

Eli Weldy (2014, Olympic Height, Coconut Creek, FL) went 1-2 to lead Mizuno Edge's offense. Weldy doubled and drove in two runs. He is batting .300 for the tournament.

Auburn commit Rock Rucker (2012, Russell County, Marietta, GA) went a perfect 3-3 to help the #4 seeded Texas Sun Devils win 7-6 against the #13 seeded Team Mizuno of PR to advance to the quarterfinals. The Texas Sun Devils will face the #12 seeded West Coast Nine tonight at 6 PM. Rucker drove in three runs, stole a base, and scored a run. He helped the Texas Sun Devils score three runs in the bottom of the seventh to come up with the win.

In addition, Dane Steinhagen (2012, Monsignor Kelly, Beaumont, TX) went 2-4 at the plate for the Texas Sun Devils. Steinhagen tripled, knocked in a run, and scored twice. He raised his batting average for the tournament to .421.

Alexis Olmeda (2012, International Baseball Academy, Fajardo, PR) went 2-3 to lead Team Mizuno of PR's offense. Olmeda hit a solo homer, doubled, drove in two runs, and scored once. His home run was his third of the tournament and he raised his batting average to .450.

Cannons Baseball will face #10 seeded Naturals Florida tonight at 6 PM. Rivera doubled, drove in a run, and stole a base. The Florida Gulf Coast commit's batting average is .333 for the tournament.

In addition, North Carolina State commit Connor O'Brien (2012, Jesuit, Tampa, FL) pitched six solid innings for Cannons Baseball. O'Brien struck out one batter and did not allow a run to score while he was on the mound. He had a long, effortless arm action and a smooth, online delivery, which helped him throw dominant, projectable stuff. He threw a good fastball that ranged from 80-85 and peaked at 87 mph.

William Carey College commit Nick Lowe (2013, Satsuma, Satsuma, AL) went 2-3 at the plate for En Fuego Baseball. Lowe doubled and drove in a run. He raised his tournament batting average to .474.

Joe Siegfried (2012, Springstead, Spring Hill, FL) threw a complete game to help the #14 seeded SCORE International upset the #3 seeded New York Grays 18U 3-1. SCORE International will move on to the quarterfinals to face the #6 seeded East Cobb Braves 17U tonight at 6 PM. Siegfried struck out seven batters and only gave up one run in seven innings. He threw a fastball that ranged from 85-88 and peaked at 90 mph.

Kevin Merrell (2014, Steinbrenner, Odessa, FL) went 2-3 at the plate for SCORE International. Merrell drove in a run and stole a base. He raised his tournament batting average to .412.

John Pena (2012, Xaverian, Brooklyn, NY) also pitched a complete game for the New York Grays 18U. He struck out eight hitters and only gave up one earned run in seven innings. He threw a fastball that ranged from 83-87 and peaked at 89 mph.
Waiters Shuts Out Hardcore Baseball >>

West Coast Nine Devils cruised to a 7-0 win over Hardcore Baseball 18U Red.  West Coast starting pitcher 2012 Garrett Waiters (Bradenton, FL, Manatee) went the distance shutting down the Hardcore Baseball lineup.  Waiters struck out three batters and allowed just three hits.  The lefty showed good command and issued just one walk.  Waiters has a large frame and throws his fastball 74-76mph.  

Pietranton led the way for West Caost at the plate going 3-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs.  Pietranton was seeing the ball very well today and showed good bat speed.  2012 Broderick Rodocker (Sarasota, FL, Sarasota) went 3-4 in the game scoring three times.  2012 Charles Sandberg (Bradentown, FL, Manatee) went 2-3 with a double and stole two bases.  Sandberg was aggressive on the bases and runs very well.

East Cobb Braves 17U took down Hardcore Baseball 18U Black 7-6 in a back and forth game.  The Braves were led by 2012 Chad Mabini (Alpharetta, GA, St. Pius X) who went 2-3 with a solo homerun and a double.  Mabini showed good bat speed and has gap power.  2013 Keenan Innis (Cumming, GA, Blessed Trinity) went 2-3 with a double and drove in one run.  South Carolina recruit 2013 Travis Demeritte (Statham, GA, Winder Barrow) had a double and drove in two runs.  

Braves starting pitcher 2013 Kevin Davis (Brewton, AL, T.R. Miller) pitched the full six innings to earn the win.  Davis struck out seven batters and scattered five hits.  Davis throws his fastball 90-93mph and mixed in a curveball and change-up.  

2012 Alex Marquez (Miami, FL, Miami Coral Park) led the way for Hardcore Baseball going 2-3 and scoring twice.  2013 Brian Hernandez (Miami, FL, Braddock) went 1-2 with a run driven in for the game.

The Naturals Florida lineup proved to be too much for the Louisiana Diamond Dawgs in their 12-7 win.  2011 Tyler Sanchez (Port St. Lucie, FL, Port St. Lucie) had a huge game for the Naturals going 4-4 with a triple, two doubles, and 5 RBIs.  Sanchez has a confident approach at the plate and is a gap hitter.  He has great instincts on the bases and runs very well.  

2013 John Bajada (PSL, FL, Centennial) went 2-4 with a double and scored three times.  2013 Jeffrey Musser (Centennial, FL) went 2-3 with two runs driven in for Naturals Florida.  

The Louisiana Diamond Dawgs were led by 2013 Sloan Dieter (Natchitoches, LA, St Mary's) who went 2-3 with a triple, double, and 3 RBIs.  Dieter has a large, athletic frame and moves well on the bases.  2012 Joe Robbins (Pineville, LA, Tioga) went 2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs from the lead-off spot for Louisiana.

Mizuno Edge scored three in the bottom of the seventh to come back and beat Top Notch 5-4.  2013 Shane Swanson (Lake Worth, FL, Summit Christian) led the way for Mizuno Edge going 2-4 with a double.  Swanson had a good approach at the plate and showed a quick bat.  2013 Will Arpin (Plantation, FL, St Thomas Aquinas) had a double and drove in a run.  Florida International commit 2012 Alec Dowell (Coral Springs, FL, Marjory Stonema) went 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. 

2012 Mike Murray (Boca Raton, FL, Park Vista) started on the mound for Mizuno and pitched six innings.  Murray struck out six batters and scattered five hits.  Murray relied mainly on his cutting 82-86mph fastball.  

Top Notch was led by 2013 Justin Cilburn (West Union, SC, Walhalla) who went 2-3 and drove in one run.  2013 Alex White (Lavonia, GA, Franklin County) hit a double and scored a run for Top Notch.

The Louisiana Diamond Dawgs got on the scoreboard early and beat the Florida Pokers 18U White 6-3.  2012 Kodie Tidwell (West Ouachita, LA, West Ouachita) went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBIs for the Diamond Dawgs.  Tidwell is a linedrive hitter with a live bat.  2013 Hunter Williams (West Monroe, LA, West Monroe) added two hits and drove in a run.  Williams has solid defensive skills behind the plate and moves well.  2013 Caleb Danzy (Colfax, LA, Grant) went 2-3 with a double in the game.  Danzy has a sound approach and has a linedrive swing.  

2012 Hunter Soileau (Pineville, LA, Pineville) started on the hill for the Diamond Dawgs and threw 6.1 innings.  Soileau allowed just three earned runs and struck out seven hitters.  Soileau was around the plate with all pitches and used a 78-82mph fastball and has a sneaky change-up.  

2012 Colby Costanzo (Sunrise, FL, Pompano Beach) hit a solo homerun for the Pokers.  Anthony Prehaska had a double and drove in two of the Pokers runs.  UCF commit 2012 Hunter Wildes (St. Johns, FL, The Bolles School) went 2-3 and scored once in the game.

RHP James Sanchez (2011, Aviation, NY) led the New York Grays 18U squad to victory after his dominating performance from the mound, striking out 1 batter and giving up only 1 hit, 1 walk and no runs.  Sanchez threw 84 pitches all game, 55 of which came across the plate as strikes.  He had a smooth, balanced delivery with sound mechanics and solid arm action.  His fastball averaged 76-78 mph and topped out at 81 mph while his curveball and changeup hung around the lower 70s and upper 60s.

Deion Sanders (2013, Morris, NY) and Harrison Bader (2012, Horace Mann, NY) led the Grays to their 4-0 victory over the Laredo Flames thanks to their impressive performances at the plate.  Sanders finished 2-3 on the day and scored 2 of their 4 runs while Bader added 1 run off a double to carry the Grays to victory.

For the Laredo Flames, LHP Randy Vallejo (2011, Del Valle, TX) had a solid day from the mound after pitching a complete game and striking out 2 batters while giving up 4 runs off 8 hits through all 6 innings.  He had a quick arm with an extended release to help his fastball top out at 85 mph and average 78-83 while his off-speed pitches hung around the mid to lower 70s.

Team IMPACT-Collier County held on to beat the Miami Tigers 3-2.  2015 David DiNorcia (Naples, FL, Seacrest Country) went 2-3 with a double out of the lead-off spot for Team IMPACT.  2012 Brendan Long (Naples, FL, Barron Collier) went 1-3 with a double and an RBI.  

2012 Nick LoCascio (Naples, FL, Naples) was on the bump for Team IMPACT and pitched four innings to earn the win.  LoCascio allowed just two unearned runs and struck out three hitters.  The right-hander relies mainly on his 80-85mph fastball.  

The Tigers lineup was led by 2013 Alffredi Ramos (Hialeah, FL, Mater Lakes Academy) who went 2-3 with a double and a steal.  Ramos has an athletic frame and showed good bat speed.  2013 Alessandro Lima (Doral, Fl, Mater Lakes Academy) had a double and drove in two runs.  

2012 Carlos Lopez (Pembroke Pines, FL, Flanagan) went the distance on the mound for Miami striking out five hitters.  Lopez scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run.  The lefty's fastball topped out at 81mph in the game.

The Naturals Florida scored 1 run in the 1st inning, and that was enough run support to earn a victory over SCORE International. The Naturals threw a 3-0 shutout and kept score to just 2 hits as a team.

Joe Ryan (2012, Jensen Beach, Jensen Beach, FL) pitched all 7 innings and struck out 6 batters for Naturals Florida. He has a smooth delivery and good extension out front. His fastball ranged from 79-84 mph and topped out at 86 mph. He also threw a curveball and slider that were both in the low-70's.

Tyler Sanchez (2011, Port St. Lucie, Port St. Lucie, FL) was 1-2 with 1 RBI for the Naturals. Jeffrey Musser (2013, Centennial, FL) was 2-2 with 1 run scored. He is an aggressive hitter who makes line drive contact. Jake Washington (2014, Fort Pierce Central, Fort Pierce, FL) was 1-2. Washington has solid defensive tools in the infield. He reads hops well and picks throws well at first base.

Cody Smith (2012, Plant City, Plant City, FL) was 1-3 with a double for SCORE. He is a line drive contact hitter with a live bat and raw power.

Carson Dowdle (2013, Liberty Christian, TX) and Chris Altimont (2013, Southlake Carroll, TX) had impressive perfect days at the plate for the Pro Source Athletics -17U Abbott to lead them to a huge 13-2 victory over the East Cobb Astros 17/18U squad, giving the Athletics their 1st win in the tournament.  Dowdle added 3 of their 13 runs in the game and drove in 2 RBI's off 4 hits thanks to his ability to stay inside the ball well with a live bat and power potential.  Altimont was equally impressive, finishing 3-3 with a double, 2 RBI's and scoring 2 more runs for the Athletics.

Tyler Jones (2013, Coppell, TX) and Ryan Nolan (2013, Carroll, TX) also had solid offensive performances, combining for 2 runs and 6 RBI's 3 hits.  Jones chipped in 3 RBI's and scored 1 run off 2 hits with 1 triple while Nolan added 3 RBI's and scored 1 run off 1 hit thanks to his 3-run HR to left field in the top of the 1st to help jump his team out to the early 5-0 lead.

For the Astros, Adrian Celata (2013, Mount Pisgah Christian, GA) and Zack Lemons (2012, Cherokee, GA) led their team, combining  for both of the Astros' runs off 2 hits.  Celata and Lemons both finished with 1 run off 1 hit thanks to fluid strokes and good plate coverage.

Cannons Baseball got on the board first with 1 run in the 1st inning, and then they added 2 more in the 2nd. The Mizuno Edge were able to take a 6-3 lead going into the 7th inning. They gave up 2 runs to Cannons Baseball, however they were still able to gain a 6-5 win.

Quincy Nieporte (2013, St. Pius, Atlanta, GA) was 2-4 with a double and 1 RBI for the Edge. He has a fluid stroke with good bat speed and power potential. Will Arpin (2013, St. Thomas Aquines, Plantation, FL) was 1-2 with a double, 2 RBI's, 2 runs scored, and 1 walk. John Ricca (2013, Olympic Heights, Boca Raton, FL) was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI's.

Sarasota Baseball Club got on the board early and were able to hold off NBS 18s long enough to win 4-3.  Sarasota's lineup was led by 2014 Wesley Woodward (Bradenton, FL, Manatee) who went 2-3 with a stolen base in the game.  Woodward had a quick bat and was aggressive on the bases.  2014 Evan Mendoza (Sarasota, FL, Sarasota) added two hits, scored twice, and stole a base.  Mendoza was also very sound in the infield defensively and has a great arm.  

Devin Pellien (Bradenton, FL, Manatee) took the hill for Sarasota and pitched five innings to earn the win.  The right-hander allowed just two earned runs and struck out a pair.  Pellien has a 79-83mph fastball and is curveball shows good potential.

The Texas Sun Devils defeated the USC Knights today by a score of 7-1. The Sun Devils scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get the win. They were led by a great performance on the mound from Dane Steinhagen (2012, Monsignor Kelly, TX). Steinhagen threw all seven innings allowing on earned run off of five hits. He threw 82-86 with his fastball and also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance today. Steinhagen had solid arm action and good command striking out ten batters today and walking only one. He was also 1-3 in the game with two RBI. He showed off his power potential crushing a double in the gap today and helping his cause out on the mound.

Jacob Marler (2012, San Antonio, TX) was 2-3 in the game with two RBI. He had a sound hitting approach and was able to use his good bat speed today. He was able to use his good eye to wait for the right pitch to hit today. He then came up with two clutch at bats, and drove in two runs in the Sun Devils big bottom of the sixth inning.

On the mound for Team Mizuno was Roy Morales (2013, Colegio Nuestra Sra Del Carmen, PR) who pitched four innings allowing no earned runs off of only one hits. Morales' arm worked well and he threw effortlessly today. He threw 83-87 with his heater and also threw an average 12/6 curve. Morales had sound mechanics and a balanced delivery helping him throw strikes. He used his explosive fastball to strikeout four batters in the game and walked only one. 

Team Mizuno of PR got homers from Victor Caratini (2012, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy, PR) and Alexis Olmeda (2012, International, PR). Caratini was 2-2 with four RBI today. He used his live bat to drive the ball with regular contact today. He drove one out showing lighttower power. Olmeda was 2-3 with two RBI. Olmeda had good bat speed and a good eye as he was able to wait for the right pitch today. Olmeda smoked a double and drove one out of the park for Team Mizuno.

LHP Brandon Dobbins (2013, Olympia, FL) threw 2 2/3 solid innings for the Orlando Scorpions 17U White squad, leading them to a 6-4 victory over Bullets Baseball 18U.  Dobbins struck out 5 of the 8 batters that he faced while giving up 2 hits and walking 1.  Of his 39 total pitches thrown, 27 came across the plate as strikes.  Dobbins' fastball averaged 78 mph and topped out at 79 while his curveball hung around the upper 60s.

Offensively for the Scorpions, Jake Sidwell (2013, Olympia, FL) and Tripp Coble (2013, Boone, FL) led the team, combining for 3 runs and 2 RBI's off 4 hits.  Sidwell had a perfect day at the plate, finishing 2-2 with 1 triple, 2 RBI's and scoring 1 run while Coble added 2 of their 6 runs off 2 hits and 1 stolen base.  Miguel Egea (2013, Lake Nona, FL) also chipped in for the Scorpions, scoring 1 run and driving in 1 RBI off 3 hits and stealing 1 base to lead his team to victory.

The Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning, however they were unable to shut down the offense of Next Level Baseball. Next Level responded with 3 runs in the 4th inning. Next Level went on to win with a final score of 6-2. The Chiefs played sharp defense and did not commit any errors.

Gage West (2013, Lincoln, Tallahassee, FL) was 3-4 with a double, a triple, 2 RBI's, and 2 runs scored for Next Level. Cameron Davis (2013, Theodore, Theodore, AL) was 1-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. Blair Huggins (2012, North Florida Christian, Tallahassee, FL) was 1-2 with 2 RBI's.

2012 Kyle Murray (LaCrescenta, CA, Crescenta Valley) started on the mound and pitched four innings of one-run ball.  Murray scattered six hits and struck out one batter.  Murray attacks hitters with his 84-88mph fastball.  The right-hander has committed to play for Cal State Fullerton next year.

The Florida Baseball Academy Akedema team defeated the Long Island Whalers 10-1 today. Dylan Busby (2014, Braden River, FL) and Wyatt Johnson (2012, Sonora, CA) led the way for Florida Baseball Academy. Busby out of the lead off spot was 2-3 in the game with one RBI. Busby showed a quick bat and short compact swing as he was able to produce out of the lead off spot. He ripped a double in the gap today and also showed patience at the plate drawing one walk. Busby used his speed stealing two bases and scoring two runs. Johnson was 2-2 in the game with two RBI. Johnson showed power potential and a fluid stroke as he was able to lace a pitch today for a double. He also drew one walk and stole one base in the game. 

On the mound for Florida Baseball Academy Myles Straw (2013, Braden River, FL) who pitched six innings allowing one earned run off of four hits. Straw threw easy and his arm worked well. He threw 81-84 with his good fastball. He was able to maintain velocity with this pitch and kept it down in the zone. He also threw a good 11/5 curve with good depth that he used as his out pitch. Straw had a smooth online delivery striking out five batters in the game and walking none.

Hardcore Baseball 18U Black was able to shut down FTB Clutch and win 4-1.  2012 Erne Valdes (Miami, FL, Braddock) was dominant on the mound going the distance for Harcore Baseball.  The lefty allowed one unearned run on just three hits.  Valdes struck out 14 batters and issued just one walk.  Valdes uses a 77-81mph fastball and has an excellent curveball.  

2012 Tyler Selesky (Estero, FL, Estero) led Hardcore Baseball's lineup going 2-3 with a triple and a double.  Selesky is a gap hitter and runs very well on the bases.  Selesky has committed to play at Florida Gulf Coast in the fall.  2012 Cain Spangler (Cape Coral, FL, Cape Coral) had a double, drove in a run, and stole a base.  Spangler has a big, athletic frame and has committed to Florida Atlantic.

Moates had a fluid stroke and good bat speed as he was able to come up with three big hits for the Patriots. He was the only player on his team with multiple hits and was able to use his aggressiveness and gap power to rip a double today. 

For the Next Level Scorpions Mckenzie King (2013, Deltona, FL) was 1-2 in the game with a double and run scored. King had a short compact swing and was able to produce out of the lead off spot for the Scorpions. His linedrive contact helped him hit the ball gap to gap with power today and hit a double. King moved well down the line and was able to score one of the two runs scored by Next Level.

The 18s tenacious trio of MIF Keegan Corley (2012, Lassiter HS, GA), 2B Connor Law (2012, Cass HS, GA), 1B Joe Marlow (2012, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) all tallied 2 hits a pop in the winning effort. Corley would add a team-high 3 runs scored in his time at the dish, Law knocked in 2 RBIs and touched home to score a run, and last but not least Marlow belted 2 doubles and raked in 4 RBIs on the day.

NBS starter RHP and Belmont commit Tyler Gates (2012, Cass HS, GA) surrendered just 1 hit and 1 ER in 4 innings of duty. Gates was in beast mode from the outset and showed good command and a smooth delivery in tossing his 82-86 FB touching 87 and 72-76 CB. He demonstrated the ability to find the zone with over 67% of his pitches crossing for strikes while fanning 8 Knight batters as well.

The Knights 1B Patrick Villafana (2013, Aviation HS, NY) was the lone ranger in compiling his team's only hit and as a result the team's lone RBI on the night.

Langham displayed good plate coverage and bat speed while hitting a line drive double to left in the second inning. Long doubled twice, walked, scored two times and knocked in two runs.

Leo Rill (2012, Naples HS, FL) went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base. Team Impact teammates Ryan Withstandley (2012, Estero HS, FL) and Timothy Flynn (2013, Seacreast Day HS, FL) each had a hit and two RBI. Nick LoCascio (2012, Naples HS, FL) tripled.

Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs beat Florida Baseball Heaven 8-3 Wednesday, pounding out 12 hits. Trey West (2012, McQuaid Jesuit HS, NY), Phil Zdanowski (2011, Marcellus HS, NY), Ryan Clark (2012, Johnson City HS, NY) and Anthony Massicci (2012, Ithaca HS, NY) all recorded two hits. Zdanowski was disruptive on the bases as well, swiping two. Clark showed good bat speed and a confident plate approach. 

Mark Armstrong struck out five batters in as many innings for the Chiefs. He threw 86-88 mph, peaking at 90 with good arm extension. Armstrong also threw a heavy dose of low-70s curves from a 3/4 arm angle and a mid-70s change-up.

The East Cobb Braves 17u shutout Hardcore Baseball 18U Black 5-0.  2013 Keenan Innis (Cumming, GA, Blessed Trinity) took the hill for the Braves and pitched seven strong innings.  The right-hander struck out six batters and allowed just three hits.  He showed excellent command and did not issue a walk.  Innis has dominant stuff using a 81-85mph sinking fastball, a sinking change-up, and a curveball.  

The Braves lineup was led by 2013 Nathaniel Maggio (Alpharetta, GA, Blessed Trinity) who had a hit and drove in two runs.  Maggio has a large, athletic frame and showed power potential.  2013 Anthony Young (Columbus, GA, Columbus) went 2-3 with a stolen base in the game.

The East Cobb Astros 17/18U scored late to force a 4-4 tie with the Florida Pokers 18U White.  The Astros were led by 2011 Alec Diamond (Kennesaw, GA, Belmont) who went 2-3 in the game with an RBI.  Diamond had a good approach at the plate and a quick bat.  2013 Adrian Celata (Duluth, GA, Mt. Pisgah Christian) also went 2-3 with a run driven in for the Astros.  

The Florida Pokers were led by Anthony Prehaska who hit a solo homerun.  Prehaska showed good bat speed and power potential.  JJ Rodriguez went 1-2 with a double and a stolen base for the Pokers.  

2012 DJ Fenstermaker (Deerfield, FL, Pompano Beach) started and pitched 3.2 innings allowing just one run on two hits.  The right-hander struck out eight batters in the outing.  Fenstermaker has an 81-83mph and a very good, tight slider.

The Marlins Scout Team/Storm got on the board early and were able to move to 5-0 for the week with their 6-1 win over the East Cobb Patriots 18U.  The Marlins Scout Team/Storm starting pitcher Mark pitched the full seven innings striking out 11 hitters.  Mark scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run.  He showed excellent command not issuing a walk.  Mark was very aggressive with his 83-86mph fastball.  

Arizona State commit 2012 Ruben Ybarra (Riverside, CA, Riverside Poly) went 2-3 in the game for Marlins Scout Team/Storm. Ybarra was behind the plate defensively and has a very strong arm.  2012 Grant Diede (Lafayette, CA, Acalanes) had a double and drove in two runs.  Diede has a live bat and showed gap power.  Diede has committed to play for California in the fall.

The New York Grays 18u pounded the Orlando Scorpions 17u White, 9-1, behind a homer from 3B Ariel Tineo (2011, Aviation HS, NY).

Tineo utilized his good bat speed and sound hitting approach in belting his solo homer in the winning effort. He'd get help from Maryland commit 3B Kevin Martir (2012, Grand Street Campus, NY) and C Ivan Objio (2013, Monroe HS, NY) who each tallied 2 hits and 2 RBIs a pop. Martir collected an additional run scored in his time at the dish while Objio belted 2 doubles on the day.

Pitching effectively for the Grays on the bump was the duo of starter RHP Jose Urena (2012, McClancey HS, NY) and closer RHP Jose Villar (2012, Juan Morel Campos HS, NY) who surrendered just 3 hits and 0 ER combined in a solid 5 innings of work. The USC Knights comeback fell short in the seventh inning as they fell to the Sarasota Baseball Club 4-2.  Sarasota starting pitcher 2014 Evan Mendoza (Sarasota, FL, Sarasota) went the distance on the mound allowing just two runs (one earned).  Mendoza struck out six batters and scattered seven hits.  Mendoza does a good job of throwing strikes with his 78-82mph fastball and a good curveball.  

2013 Dylan White (Sarasota, FL, Sarasota) led the way offensively for Sarasota going 2-3 with a double.  White has a large, athletic frame and has committed to play for Miami.  2013 Jason Sierra (Sarasota, FL, Sarasota) went 2-3 with a double and a run driven in.  Sierra showed great bat speed at the plate and has committed to play at Vanderbilt.   

2013 Daniel Beizer (Douglaston, NY, Benjamin N. Cardozo) went seven innings for USC and struck out seven hitters.  The right-hander showed good command and did not issue a walk.  Beizer relies mainly on his 73-78mph fastball.

Leopoldo Benavides (2011, J.W. Nixon, Laredo, TX) was 3-3 with 2 runs scored for the Flames.  Randy Vallejo (2011, Del Valle, Del Valle, TX) was 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Brandon Garza (2013, Robstown, Robstown, TX) was 1-3 with a double and 2 RBI's.

Bajada belted a double while driving in the team's lone RBI while Sanchez did much of the same in raking a double of his own while touching to score a run as well. 

Pitching effectively on the bump for the Naturals was starter and Polk State commit RHP Jesse Arnold (2012, Port St. Lucie HS, FL) who allowed just 3 hits and 2 ER in a 7-inning complete game. Arnold showed control on both sides of the plate and set up hitters with his deceptive delivery in tossing his 82-84 FB touching 86, 67-70 CB, and 74-78 good sinking CH to whiff 7 Mizuno bats.

En Fuego Baseball was able to hold on to win 6-4 despite a late rally from the Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs.  En Fuego was led by 2013 Nick Lowe (Satsuma, AL, Satsuma) who went 2-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs.  2012 Jake Swearinger (Baldwin Co. AL, Baldwin Co.) went 2-3 with a double in the game.  Swearinger was behind the plater for En Fuego and has a strong arm.  

2012 Toby Thomas (8 Mile, AL, Fairhope) started on the mound for En Fuego Baseball and pitched 6.1 innings striking out seven hitters.  Thomas allowed just four hits in the start.  Thomas relied mainly on his 81-88mph fastball to do most of his damage.  Thomas has committed to play for Pensacola State in the fall.

The Louisiana Diamond Dawgs defeated the Pro Source Athletics-17u Abbott by the narrow margin of 4-1 after plating all 4 runs in the first 4 innings.

The Dawgs got a big effort from their 2-and 4-hole hitters Louisiana-Monroe commit IF Kodie Tidwell (2012, West Ouachita HS, LA) and C Hunter Williams (2013, West Monroe HS, LA) who racked up 2 hits and 1 RBI a pop. Tidwell took advantage of his rotational swing and power approach to to add a run scored while Williams displayed a strong lower half and power potential in belting a double in the winning effort.

Dawgs starter LHP Nathan Navarro (2013, Ouachita HS, LA) pitched effectively in giving up 2 hits and 0 ER in a 6-inning solid performance. The crafty lefty demonstrated good command and some projectable stuff in the form of his 77-81 FB reaching 83, 66-69 12/6 CB, and 68-72 CH.

2013 Taylor Mauck (Blountstown, FL, Blountstown) led the way offensively for Next Level Baseball going 2-2 with a triple and 2 RBIs. The East Cobb Braves 17u team defeated the FTB Clutch team 8-0 today. Dalton Ewing (2014, Milton, GA) drove in four runs for the Braves going 2-3 at the plate. Ewing had a fluid stroke and good bat speed today ripping a double and a triple today. He was aggressive at the plate showing good lift in his swing as he was able to drive the ball into the gap today. Ewing's four RBI day lead the Braves to their big win today.

On the mound for the Braves was Jackson Smith (2013, Hartselle, AL) who pitched five innings allowing no earned runs off of three hits. Smith threw easy off the mound and had solid arm action. He attacked hitters with his 84-87 sinking fastball. He also threw a good tight rotating slider and a good changeup. Smith had a balanced delivery and effectively pitched inside striking out three batters in the game and walking only two. 

For FTB Clutch Drew Peden (2013, University, FL) pitched four innings striking out seven batters and walking only two. Peden threw 76-80 with his fastball and had a quick arm today. He also threw a good 10/4 curve with late break. Peden changed speeds, which led to his high number of strikeouts today.

Nieporte utilized his fluid stroke, excellent bat speed, and light tower power in the 7 RBI effort. He also touched home to score 2 runs while taking advantage of his high ceiling and strong, projectable frame as a result.

Getting it done on the bump for the Edge was starter RHP Eli Weldy (2014, Olympic Height HS, FL) who gave up 6 hits and 0 ER in 4 innings of work. Getting the job done at the dish was the trifecta of MIF James Fraser (2013, East River HS, FL), 3B Josh Greiner (2013, Flagler Palm Coast HS, FL), and JJ Madden who tallied 1 hit and 1 RBI a pop. Fraser utilized his quick bat and linedrive swing plane at the plate, Greiner took advantage of his short, compact swing and good bat speed at the dish, and Madden was aggressive in the box and stayed inside the ball well in the winning effort.

Clutch starter RHP Patrick Collins (2012, Boone HS, FL) gave up 6 hits and 1 ER in a 7-inning complete game of work. RHP Tanner Frazier (2013, Ruston, LA) led the Louisiana Diamond Dawgs to a 6-2 victory over East Cobb Astros 17/18U from the mound, giving the Dawgs their 3rd victory of the tournament.  Frazier struck out 4 batters and gave up 2 runs off 4 hits through the first 5 innings of the game, allowing his offense to take the game over.  He showed good command of his pitches and was able to effectively pitch inside with solid arm action.  His fastball averaged 83-85 mph and topped out at 86 mph while his off speed pitches hung around the mid 70s.

Sloan Dieter (2013, St. Mary's, LA) led the Diamond Dawgs offensively after finishing with a double and driving in 2 RBI's thanks to his fluid stroke, good bat speed and patience at the plate.  Dieter was helped out by teammates Pierce Spangler (2012, Ruston, LA) and Kodie Tidwell (2012, West Ouachita, LA) who combined for 2 of their 6 runs off 4 hits.  Spangler had a perfect day at the plate, finishing 2-2 with 1 double and scoring 1 run while Tidwell went 2-3 with 1 stolen base and added 1 more run for the Dawgs.

Doing work on the mound for the Marlins was starter RHP Kenneth Chatman (2012, Claremont HS, CA) who allowed just 4 hits and 0 ER in 5 innings of duty. Chatman was a presence on the mound and changed speeds effectively with his 83-87 FB heating at 88, 65-67 CB, 69-71 SL, and 74-78 CH. He definitely threw around the zone to fan 10 Scorpions in the winning effort.

En Fuego Baseball defeated the Florida Baseball Heaven team 8-0 today. They got great performances on the mound and at the plate today. Pitching for En Fuego was Jordan Brown (2012, Central Phenix, AL) who pitched a complete game shutout. Brown threw seven innings allowing only one hit. He threw 83-86 with his heater and also threw a good curve and average changeup, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Brown pitched downhill and was a bulldog on the mound striking out thirteen batters today. 

At the plate En Fuego got production from their 1,2, and 3 hitters who combined to go 7-12 with six RBI. Leading off was Cody Christian (2012, Satsuma, AL) who was 3-4 with three RBI. Christian had a fluid stroke and good leverage in his swing helping him hit a triple in the gap today. Next up was Tyler Odem (2012, Oak Grove, MS) who was 2-4 with two RBI. Odem used his linedrive swing plane and fluid stroke to lace a hit for a double today. Finally Toby Thomas (2012, Fairhope, LA) was 2-4 with one RBI today. Thomas had a balanced swing and covered the plate well. He hit a double and a triple in the game today. In the infield he also read hops well and had a quick release.

Schenker showed a fluid stroke, quick bat, good plate coverage, good bat speed, a sound hitting approach, aggressive hitting and live bat. 

2014 Kevin Merrell (Odessa, FL, Steinbrenner HS) pitched 4 innings, allowing 4 hits and no runs with 3 strikeouts. His fastball peaked at 82mph. Merrell showed good command, control on both sides of the plate, good follow through, short arm action, good extension out front, quick arm, good hip rotation, smooth delivery, sound mechanics and a good fastball.

SCORE International got to an early 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Pro Source Athletics - 17u Abbott answered with 1 run of their own, however that is the only run they were able to get. SCORE International won with a final score of 8-1. Both teams played sharp defense and did not commit any errors.

The Texas Sun Devils doubled up Next Level Baseball by the score of 8-4 thanks to a pair of bombs by 1B Nick Zaunbrecher (2012, Barbe HS, LA) and Rock Rucker.

Zaunbrecher displayed his excellent bat speed and light tower power in making his lone hit count to the tune of 2 runs scored and 1 RBI driven in. Rucker worked with his fluid stroke and raw power to belt his homer, touch home to score a run, and drive home 3 RBIs. The Devils would also get a solid performance out of Boyer who tallied 2 hits as well while scoring a run and accumulating 2 RBIs.

Tossing a 7-inning complete game shutout was Devils starter Rodriguez who allowed 7 hits but 0 ER in the winning effort. Rodriguez was in control on both sides of the plate and attacked the Next Level bats from the outset with his 82-84 explosive FB reaching 86, 70-74 CB, and 74-77 CH.

In the box for Next Level was 2-hole hitter MIF Jared Shouppe (2012, Chiles HS, FL) who earned himself 1 hit in the form of a single while knocking 2 of his team's 3 RBIs.

Hardcore Baseball 18u Black sprinted out to an early 3-run lead propelled by a Florida Atlantic commit MIF Cain Spangler (2012, Cape Coral HS, FL) homer and ran away from there in defeating the Orlando Scorpions 17u White, 6-3.

Spangler made his lone hit count in tallying 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs driven in as a result of his gopher ball. Spangler took advantage of his short, compact swing and raw power in the winning effort. Posting a strong performance in the box as well for Hardcore was Florida Gulf Coast commit C Alex Marquez (2012, Miami Coral Park HS, FL) who racked up his team's only 3-hit game on the day.

Closing up shop for Hardcore was Florida International commit and closer RHP Mikey Perez (2013, Killian HS, FL) who gave up just 2 hits and 0 ER in 3.2 innings of relief. Perez exhibited some loose arm action and pitched downhill with his 78-82 lively FB touching 83, 67-71 late breaking CB, 68-72 SL, and 71-74 CH.

The Scorpions got a big effort out of their dynamic duo of 1B Dylan Dragon (2013, Boone HS, FL) and 3B Joseph McKee (2013, New Smyrna Beach HS, FL) who collected 2 hits and 1 RBI a pop.

Leading the Braves attack was 5-hole hitter and Tennessee commit 1B Nathaniel Maggio (2013, Blessed Trinity Catholic HS, GA) led the team as he tallied 2 hits, both doubles, 2 runs scored, and a monstrous 4 RBIs. Maggio utilized his fluid stroke and power potential in the winning effort. Also collecting a 2-hit game was C/OF CJ Brazil (2013, Blessed Trinity Catholic HS, GA) who knocked home a double, touched home for a run scored, and drove in 1 RBI with his quick bat and short, compact swing.

The Patriots got a strong effort at the dish by 5-hole hitter and Sewanee: University of the South commit OF Brett Polston (2012, Decatur HS, GA) who made his lone hit count in the form of a single while knocking home 2 of his team's 4 RBIs.

Patriots starter and Berry College commit RHP Doug Heath (2012, South Paulding HS, GA) struggled at times in the start but flashed some potential in throwing his 80-84 FB touching 84.

Getting it done for the Cannons in the box was OF Justin Tedder (20122, St. Petersburg Catholic HS, FL) and OF Tyler Bender (2012, Mariner HS, FL) as they both tallied 1 hit and 1 RBI a piece on the day.

The Louisiana Diamond Dawgs pounded Team Longhorns, 12-0, after putting up at least 2 runs in every inning in pacing themselves to victory.

The Dawgs got a strong performance out of Sloan Dieter (2013, St. Mary's HS, LA) who racked up 3 hits, including a double, a run scored, and 3 RBIs driven in. Dieter exhibited a fluid stroke and good bat speed in getting the job done. Helping Dieter out was C Hunter Williams (2013, West Monroe HS, LA) who tallied a 3-hit game of his own while also bringing home 3 RBIs as well. And last but not least was the top two batters of the order SS Joe Robbins (2012, Tioga HS, LA) and Louisiana-Monroe commit IF Kodie Tidwell (2012, West Ouachita HS, LA) who lit it up for 2 hits a pop. Robbins raked one of his team's 4 doubles while touching home to score 2 runs and driving in yet another 3 RBIs while Tidwell added 1 RBI knocked home on the day.

Shutting down the Longhorn bats was Dawg starter RHP Brandon Horne (2012, Pineville HS, LA) who gave up a mere 1 hit and 0 ER in 4 innings of duty. Horne threw projectable stuff and demonstrated the ability to change speeds effectively with his 78-82 FB touching 82 and his 61-65 CB.

Carter Rowland (2015, Frederica Academy, GA) and Dalton Moore (2012, Brantley County, GA) led the Coastal Georgia Hooks to a slim 3-2 victory over the Florida Pokers 18U White to pick up their 1st win of the tournament.  Rowland ended the day 2-3 and scored 1 of their 3 runs in the game while Moore added 2 RBI's off of 1 hit thanks to their balanced swings and live bats.

Ridge Harrison (2013, Frederica Academy, FL) and Nick Harrison (2016, Frederica Academy, GA) combined for 2 more runs for the Hooks to give them the edge in their 3-2 victory.  Ridge Harrison and Nick Harrison both ended the day 1-3 with 1 run.

For the Florida Pokers, Michael Haynes (2-12, Niceville, FL) led the team after going 2-4 and scoring 1 of their 2 runs in the game thanks to his aggressiveness at the plate and his live bat.

Daniel, SC) led Top Notch to a 9-6 victory over the Naturals Florida after scoring 9 runs in the first inning and holding off the Naturals to come out with their 1st win of the tournament.  White and Kosch each finished the day 2-3 with 1 RBI and scored 1 of their 9 runs to carry their team to victory, thanks to their quick bats and fluid stroke with linedrive swinging planes to help them drive the ball with regular contact.  

Storm Grisham (2013, Hilton Head, SC) and Matthew Williams (2013, Belton-Honea Path, SC) were equally impressive for Top Notch, combining for 2 runs and 2 RBI's off of 2 hits.  Grisham finished the game 1-3 with 1 RBI and scored 1 run while Williams went 1-2 with 1 RBI and added 1 more run to contribute to their huge first inning.

For the Naturals Florida, Cody Darly (2013, FL) led the team with 2 RBI's and 1 run off of 1 double in the game thanks to his quick bat and good plate coverage, but his efforts weren't enough to overcome Top Notch's huge 9-run 1st inning.

RHP Tyler Odem (2012, Oak Grove, MS) closed out the final 3 innings for the En Fuego Baseball squad, striking out 5 batters and not allowing a single run or a single hit to secure the 9-6 victory over Xcel Baseball 18U.  Of his 31 pitches thrown, 22 came across the plate as strikes.  Odem had solid arm action with an online delivery to help his fastball top out at 85 mph while averaging 82-84 mph.  His curveball and changeup also hung around the mid to lower 70s.

Nick Lowe (2013, Satsuma, AL) and Tino Benjamin (2011, Tate, FL) led En Fuego Baseball offensively, combining for 3 RBI's and 3 runs to lift their team to victory.  Lowe ended the day 2-3 with 1 stolen base, 1 RBI and scored 2 of their 9 runs thanks to his short, compact swing, while Benjamin finished the day 1-2 with 1 RBI and added 1 more run thanks to his fluid stroke and patience at the plate.

Cody Christian (2012, Satsuma, AL) and Toby Thomas (2012, Fairhope, AL) also chipped in for En Fuego, combining for 3 runs off of 3 hits to lead their team to a 9-6 victory.  Christian would finish with 2 runs and 1 RBI off of 1 hit while Thomas ended with a triple, 2 RBI's and scored 1 run.

LHP Will Gilbert (2012. Green Hope, NC) dominated from the mound for the East Cobb Astros 17/18U squad to lead them to a nail-biting 2-1 victory over the Bullets Baseball 18U squad.  Gilbert struck out 11 batters that stepped to the plate and gave up 1 run off of 3 hits to hold off Bullets Baseball.  Of his 98 pitches thrown, 65 came across the plate as strikes.  He was able to throw around the plate with all of his pitches with a good follow through and good command of his pitches.  His fastball averaged 84 mph and topped out at 87 mph whils his curveball hung around the upper to mid 70s.

Offensively for the Astros, Connor Rivers (2013, Homewood, AL) led the team after scoring 1 of their 2 runs and driving in 1 RBI off of a double thanks to his quick bat and balanced swing at the plate.

LHP Josh Brabson (2012, Bradenton, FL) pitched a complete, 5-inning game for the West Coast Nine Devils as they took out the Laredo Flames with a final score of 11-3.  Brabson gave up 3 runs off of 7 hits and struck out 6 batters.  Of his 87 pitches thrown all game, 61 came across the plate as strikes.  He showed good command of his pitches around the plate as effectively pitched inside with effortless arm action and a smooth, online delivery.  His fastball averaged between 78-81 mph and topped out at 82 mph while his curveball and changeup hung around the lower 70s.

Broderick Rodocker (2012, Sarasota, FL) and Petito (2012, FL) helped out Brapson and led the Devils offensively, combining for 7 RBI's and 3 runs off of 3 hits.  Rodocker stood out offensively after having a near perfect day at the plate, finishing 2-3 with 5 RBI's and scoring 2 of their 11 runs thanks to his 3-run HR to left field in the top of the 2nd inning to put his team up 11-2.  Petito also chipped in with a double, 2 RBI's and 1 run to carry the Devils to a big 11-3 victory.

For the Flames, Leopoldo Benavides (2011, J.W. Nixon, TX) led his team after finishing 2-3 and scoring 2 of their 3 runs in the game, but it wasn't enough to shut-down the Devils' strong offensive performance.

Brandon Dobbins (2013, Olympia, Altamonte Springs, FL) pitched a solid five innings in relief to help the Orlando Scorpions 17U White win 5-4 over the Florida Baseball Academy Akedema. Dobbins threw six strikeouts and only allowed one earned run. He pitches downhill and has a good follow through to help throw a good fastball, which ranges from 77-80 mph.

Miguel Egea (2013, Lake Nona, Altamonte Springs, FL) went 3-3 for the Orlando Scorpions 17U White. Egea scored two runs.

Wayne Farish (2014, Auburndale, Winter Haven, FL) went 2-3 to lead the Florida Baseball Academy Akedema on offense. Farish also drove in a run.

Sumner McWhorter (2013, Southern Union, Fitzgerald, GA) went 1-2 for the East Cobb Patriots 18U. McWhorter hit a walk-off two run double in the bottom of the 7th.

Cody Killon (2013, University, Orlando, FL) also pitched a complete game for Team Longhorns. Killon struck out two and didn't give up any earned runs over 6.2 innings. He threw a fastball that ranged from 77-82 and peaked at 84 mph.

The New York Grays were able to win a close game today against the East Cobb Braves. The Grays were led by Kevin Martir (2012, Grand Street, NY) and Michael Gonzalez (2012, Lane, NY). Martir was 1-3 in the game driving in one of the three runs scored by the Grays. Martir displayed gap power as he was able to rip the ball into the gap today for a double. He also showed good defensive actions in the infield. He had sure hands and read the hops well along with having a playable arm. Gonzalez was 2-3 in the game staying inside the ball well and possessing good leverage in his swing. He used that leverage to drive the ball for a triple today. He also pitched an inning allowing no hits and no earned runs. He got the save today on the mound. 

For the East Cobb Braves Keenan Innis (2013, Blessed Trinity, GA) drove in the one run they scored today. Innis had a good eye as he was able to wait for the right pitch to hit today. Innis then used his good bat speed to get around on a pitch and drive it for a RBI single.

Mizuno Edge defeated Top Notch Baseball today winning 12-6. Ronnie Rocca (2013, St. Andrews, FL) was 2-4 in the game with three RBI. He was able to show off his good bat speed and a fluid stroke in the game today. He was confident at the plate, which led to his success today. John Ricca (2013, Olympic Heights, FL) also drove in three runs going 2-4 in the game. Ricca used his quick bat to get around on a pitch and rip it into the gap for a double today. The Mizuno Edge had eighteen hits in their win today.

For Top Notch Baseball Matthew Williams (2013, Belton Honea, SC) and Alex White (2013, Franklin County, GA) both drove in two runs. Williams was 2-4 in the game showed a sound hitting approach and a good eye as he was able to wait for the right pitch to hit today. Williams showed off his gap power as he ripped a double in the game. White was 2-3 in the game and he also knocked a double in the gap showing his fluid stroke.

Both starters had good games today for the two teams playing today. FTB Clutch won the game 8-4 over the Coastal Georgia Hooks. Getting the start for FTB was Matt Gulik (2013, Deland, FL) who pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing no earned runs off of four hits. He had solid arm action and a good follow through. He threw 78-81 with his fastball and also threw a good 10/4 late breaking curve and a good sink changeup. Gulik changed speeds and kept hitters off balance leading to seven strikeouts in the game. Gulik threw strikes and had good command of all of his pitches. 

For the Coastal Georgia Hooks JR Van Allen (2013, Brunswick, GA) was the starter throwing four innings allowing one earned run off of four hits. Van Allen's arm worked well and he had solid arm action on the mound. He threw 80-84 with his fastball and also threw a good late breaking slider. Van Allen's smooth delivery and sound mechanics helped him throw strikes leading to six strikeouts in the game and only one walk. He also was 1-3 at the plate with a RBI.

John Gaines (2013, Edgewater, FL) drove in two runs for FTB with a pinch hit single. Gaines displayed good bat speed and a balanced swing helping him have success at the dish. Gaines' confidence at the plate helped him come up with a clutch pinch hit at bat.

Comesanas' lone hit went for a double as he drove in 1 RBI while Hernandez's made his lone hit count in nabbing 2 RBIs.

On the bump for Hardcore Baseball was starter RHP Jorge Lara (2013, Braddock HS, FL) who surrendered 4 hits and 2 ER in a 7-inning complete game. Lara tossed his 72-76 FB reaching 84, 63-67 CB, and 72 SL in the winning effort.

The Knights closer RHP Michael Sierra (2103, All Hallows HS, NY) pitched effectively in giving up 1 hit and 0 ER in 3 innings of relief. Sierra threw his 71-73 FB touching 74 and 65-67 CB in the solid outing.

Cameron Davis (2013, Theodore, AL) came up big for Next Level Baseball today in their 8-0 win. Davis was 1-3 in the game and showed off his raw power as he crushed a three run bomb in the first inning. Next Level jumped out early scoring six runs in the first inning. Davis had a sound hitting approach and proved he is a middle of the order run producer for his team. 

On the mound for Next Level was Alex Gay (2012, Monroe, FL) who pitched four innings allowing no earned runs off of two hits. Gay had good extension out front and loose arm action off the mound. He threw 75-78 with his fastball and also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. This crafty lefty shut down the Xtreme Baseball batters striking out five in the game and walking only three.

Joe Lombardo (2013, Kellenberg Memorial, NY) was the starter on the mound today for the Long Island Whalers throwing a complete game. Lombardo threw all seven innings allowing one earned run off of eight hits. He threw 75-79 with his fastball along with an average curve and changeup, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Lombardo had a balanced online delivery helping him control both sides of the plate and strikeout nine batters. The Long Island Whalers won 5-3 over the Sarasota Baseball Club. 

Andrew Cirincionne (2013, Herricks, NY) had a good game going 2-2 at the plate with two RBI. He showed a quick bat and fluid stroke. He was able to come up with two clutch hits that brought home two key runs in the Whalers win today.

Evan Mendoza (2014, Sarasota, FL) was 2-3 in the game for the Sarasota Baseball Club. Mendoza had a sound hitting approach and a good eye as he was able to wait for the right pitch to hit today. Mendoza was the only player on Sarasota with multiple hits in the game.

Cameron Morgan (2012, Freedom, FL) got the start today for SCORE International and he pitched a gem. Morgan threw five innings allowing two hits and no earned run. Morgan's arm worked well with loose arm action. He threw 81-83 with his fastball and also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Morgan used his lower half and had good command throwing all of his pitches around the plate. Morgan struck out eight batters in the game. 

Max Geller (2013, St. Pete Catholic, FL) and Hayden Kelley (2012, Gaither, FL) both had good games for SCORE. Geller was 2-3 with two RBI. Geller had a live bat and a fluid stroke and was able to come up with some clutch hits for SCORE. Kelley was 2-2 with a double in the game. He showed off his gap power and quick bat as he was able to get around on a pitch and rip an extra base hit.

En Fuego got a 4-for-4 game at the dish from 2-hole hitter Tyler Odem (2012, Oak Grove HS, MS) who added 2 runs scored to his resume as well. Also having himself a game was cleanup hitter C Tino Benjamin (2011, Tate HS, FL) in racking up 2 hits, including a double, touching home for a run scored, and a team-high 2 RBIs.

Starting on the bump for En Fuego was RHP Beecher Faust (2013, Fairhope HS, AL) who struggled at times but flashed potential in hurling his 83-87 FB heating at 88.

Cannons Baseball utilized a homer each from Pasco Hernando CC commit C Charlie Klein (2012, Mariner HS, FL) and Florida-Gulf Coast commit SS Nick Rivera (2012, Bishop Verot HS, FL) to break the 3-3 tie with a 9-run final inning to rout the Louisiana Diamond Dawgs 12-3.

The Cannons' Klein and Rivera made their only hits count in racking up a run scored and 2 RBIs driven in with their 2-run bombs. 

Getting it done on the bump for the Cannons was North Florida commit RHP Corbin Olmstead (2012, Thomas Jefferson HS, FL) who allowed 8 hits and 2 ER in 4 innings of work. Olmstead showed off his cannon throughout by firing his 86-90 FB heatinag at 91, 68-70 CB, 75-78 SL, and 77-80 CH.

With a solid performance at the plate for the Dawgs it was 3-hole hitter Sloan Dieter (2013, St. Mary's HS, LA) who tallied 2 hits, including a double, while touching home to score a run and driving home 1 RBI. Alex Lorenzo (2013, Belen, FL) led the Miami Tigers in the lineup today and with his performance on the field. Lorenzo the leadoff hitter was 3-3 in the game with two RBI. He displayed a quick bat and short compact swing as he smacked the ball for a double today. Lorenzo also showed patience at the plate as he drew one walk in the game. The Miami Tigers defeated the Pro Source Athletics 17u Abbott team 6-4 today. 

On the mound getting the win for the Tigers was Caleb Horvat (2013, Sunset, FL) who pitched a complete game allowing two earned runs off of eight hits. He threw 73-76 with his fastball and also threw a curve in the game, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Horvat displayed a balanced online delivery helping him have good command and throw strikes. He struck out three batters in the game.

The Florida Pokers 18u White team defeated the Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs today 8-3. Both teams only had six hits each, but the Pokers were able to come up with clutch hits with runners in scoring position helping them get the win today. Hunter Wildes (2012, The Bolles School, FL) and Wes Piersall (2012, Rockledge, FL) both drove in two runs for the Pokers. Wildes was 1-3 at the plate and was able to draw one walk. He also was the starter throwing three innings allowing three earned runs off of five hits. He threw easy off the mound throwing 79-82 with his heater. He also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Wildes struck out two batters in the game. Piersall was 1-2 in the game and also drew one walk. Piersall showed patience at the plate and a good eye as he was able to wait for the right pitch to hit.

For the Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs Ryan Clark (2012, Johnson City, NY) was 2-3 in the game with one RBI. Clark displayed a quick bat and good leverage in his swing helping him drive the ball into the gap for a double today. Clark proved he can be a middle of the order run producer for his team.

Marler a pro-typical lead off hitter showed a quick bat and short compact swing. He smacked two hits including a double and also drew one walk in the game.

For the Quinco Hurricanes Jordan Adams (2013, Orlando Christian, FL) drove in two runs with his single in the top of the third inning. Adams showed good bat speed and a fluid stroke as he was able to come up in the clutch with two runners in scoring position. Adams had confidence at the plate and a sound hitting approach.

Bryce Kingsley (2012, Barbe, LA) pitched three innings in relief for the Sun Devils throwing perfect baseball with no hits and no earned runs. Kingsley's arm worked well and he pitched downhill. He threw 85-88 with his explosive fastball and also threw a good 12/6 curve. Kingsley had a smooth online delivery and struck out five batters in the game.

Acosta threw 78-81 with his heater and also threw a mixture of curves and changeups helping him change speeds well and keep hitters off balance. Sigmon plays for Xcel Baseball 18u and he was 3-3 in the game with two RBI. Sigmon showed confidence at the dish and he used his good leverage and raw power to get hits today. 

On the mound for the Astros was Josh Shailer (2013, Dunwoody, GA) who pitched six innings allowing three earned runs off of nine hits. He threw 79-83 with his fastball and also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Travis Demeritte (2013, Winder Barrow, GA) and Dalton Ewing (2014, Milton, GA) both had good games today for the East Cobb Braves. Demeritte was 2-3 in the game with one RBI and two doubles. Demeritte displayed a fluid stroke and good leverage in his swing as he was able to drive the ball into the gap twice for two doubles. He also showed good fielding actions and good arm strength in the infield. Ewing was 2-3 with two RBI. He used his good bat speed and balanced swing to have success at the dish. He lined one for a double in the game driving in two.

On the mound for the Braves was Riley Pressnell (2013, Dutchtown, GA) who pitched all six innings allowing no earned runs and only three hits. Pressnell pitched downhill and had a balanced online delivery. He was quick to plate throwing 76-79 with his fastball and also threw a curve that flashed potential. Ybarra was aggressive at the dish and crushed a ball into the gap for a double. He also showed an accurate arm and quick release on his throws from the behind the plate. Terrence Connely (2012, Chaminade, NY) drove in three runs with his double in the game today. Connely stayed inside of the ball well and used his good bat speed to drive the ball today. Finally Eric Neitzel (2012, Gulliver Prep, FL) showed a good eye as he waited for the right pitch today. Neitzel showed off his power potential crushing a solo home run in the game.

On the mound for the Marlins was Evan Challenger (2012, Mt. Dora, FL) and he took on every challenger the Naturals Florida team put to the plate. Challenger allowed only three hits and no earned runs through five innings today. He competed on the mound throwing 80-84 with his fastball and also throwing a good curve. Challenger attacked hitters with his good fastball. He was deceptive in his delivery striking out six batters and walking only one.

Figueroa didn't have a hit in the game, but he did score two of the three runs scored by the Flames today. On the mound for the Flames was Randy Vallejo (2011, Del Valle, TX) who pitched seven innings allowing one earned run off of three hits. Vallejo threw 74-79 with his fastball and also threw a good 10/4 breaking curve. He struck out five batters in the game and walked none. 

Getting the start for the Scorpions was Zack Carter (2013, Bloomingdale, FL) who pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing no earned runs off of six hits. Carter's arm worked well and he pitched donwhill today. He threw 80-83 with his sinking fastball and also threw a good 11/5 breaking curve. Carter changed speeds and set up hitters as he was able to send five batters back to the dugout on strikes. Carter had good command of his pitches throwing them all around the plate and for strikes.

Jacob Martin (2014, West Orange, FL) drove in both the runs for the Scorpions with a double in the top of the fourth inning. Martin showed off his ability to hit gap to gap with power. Martin was the producer today for the Scorpions using his quick bat and good eye at the plate.

Lopez displayed raw power and excellent bat speed as he got a hold of a pitch today and took it out. 

For SCORE International Hayden Kelley (2012, Gaither, FL) was 1-1 in the game with two RBI. Kelley showed good bat speed and power potential at the plate as he came up with a clutch hit with runners in scoring position. Kelley also drew one walk in the game as his confidence led to his success at the dish today.

Getting the start for SCORE was TJ Peterson (2012, Plant City, FL) who pitched two innings off perfect baseball allowing no hits and no earned runs. Peterson threw easy of the mound and his arm worked well. He threw 85-89 today with a smooth delivery. He also threw a good curve, which he had a good feel for on the mound. Peterson attacked hitters and threw strikes sending three batters back to the dugout on strikes.

Ryan Reilly (2012, Calvary Christian, FL) was 4-5 in the game today as the Florida Pokers 18u White team defeated FTB Clutch 4-0. Reilly led his team recording half of their hits and driving in one run. He was an aggressive lead off hitter using his short compact swing and quick bat to slap the ball for hits. He was able to line one into the gap for a double as well today. Reilly moved well down the line and stole two bases in the game. 

For FTB Clutch James Fraser (2013, East River, FL) was 2-3 out of the lead off spot with two doubles. Fraser ripped the ball into the gap showing off his good bat speed and live bat. Fraser was the only player on FTB to have more than one hit in the game and produced out of the lead off spot. 

Callahan Brown (2012, Jupiter, FL) was the starter for the Pokers throwing four innings allowing four hits and no earned runs. Brown's arm worked well and he pitched downhill. Brown threw 82-86 with his riding life on his fastball. He also threw a good short breaking slider, which he used to change speeds and keep hitters off balance. He had a smooth delivery with sound mechanics as he was able to strikeout four batters in the game.

Joe Marada got the start for the Naturals Florida team as they defeated the Mizuno Edge 4-1 today. Marada pitched a great game throwing a complete game allowing one earned run off of eight hits. He had short arm action throwing 80-82 with his explosive cut fastball. Marada also threw a curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. He was a gamer on the mound and was able to overpower batters striking out ten in the game.

John Baiada (2013, Centennial, FL) was 2-4 in the game for the Naturals. Baiada stayed inside the ball well and showed off his power potential as he drove in two runs today. He was a good receiver and blocked well behind the plate. He threw with good arm strength and online carry as he caught one runner stealing.

For the Edge Jonny Ortiz (2012, Coral Springs, FL) pitched five innings allowing one earned run off of four hits. Ortiz threw easy off the mound and his arm worked well. He threw 78-80 with his fastball and also threw a 11/5 late breaking curve. Ortiz had sound mechanics and hid the ball well leading to three strikeouts in the game.

The New York Grays 18u team were able to find their way on base today and once on base they used their speed to get into scoring position. The Grays stole six bases in the game as they defeated Florida Baseball Heaven 11-3. Basael McDonald (2013, Grand Street, NY) and Ariel Tineo (2012, Aviation, NY) both had good games for the Grays. McDonald was 2-4 out of the leadoff spot with one RBI. He was a gamer today ripping a double in the gap showing off his quick bat and short compact swing. McDonald used his speed to steal one base and to cover a lot of ground in the outfield. Tineo was a patient hitter not chasing at pitches today. Tineo hit a ball today and showed off his running ability as he legged out a triple driving in one run. He also drew on walk in the game. 

For Florida Baseball Heaven Hayden Fields (2013, Lake Sumter, FL) was 2-2 in the game driving in two of their three runs. Fields showed off good bat speed and a sound hitting approach as he was able to help his cause out on the mound. Fields the starter threw 2 2/3 innings allowing three earned off of five hits. Fields threw 80-83 with his fastball and also threw a curve as he changed speeds and struck out four batters in the game.

Gabriel Rivas (2015, East River, FL) got the start today for the Quinco Hurricanes and he pitched great. Rivas threw seven innings allowing only four hits and no earned runs. Rivas' arm worked well and he had good extension out front. He threw 80-83 with his fastball and also threw a 11/5 curve with good depth and a good sinking changeup. Rivas was able to use his lower half and stay tall on backside helping him have success on the mound today. He struck out eight batters in the game and walked only three. 

Willies Estrada (2013, Celebration, FL) displayed good bat speed and a fluid stroke at the plate today. Estrada was 1-3 with two RBI as he was able to come up with a clutch hit with runners in scoring position. Estrada also showed quick feet and a smooth transfer behind the plate defensively. He had good arm strength and a quick release on his throws.

For Next Level Baseball who lost 5-0 today they got two extra base hits from Blair Huggins (2012, North Florida Christian, FL) and Jared Shouppe (2012, Chiles, FL). Huggins showed off his gap power as he lined a ball into the gap for a double. Shouppe showed of his fluid stroke and good instincts on the bases as he was able to leg out a triple in the game.

Hardcore Baseball 18u Red and the Sarasota Baseball Club both had two great performances out of their starters today. For Hardcore Baseball who won the game 4-2 Anthony Baldrich pitched seven innings allowing no earned runs off of two hits. Baldrich threw 76-80 with his fastball and also threw an average curve and slider. Baldrich used his fastball a lot today and showed solid arm action. He attacked hitters and was able to strike out eleven batters in the game. 

For the Sarasota Baseball Club Joshua Knies (2013, Sarasota, FL) got the start throwing seven innings allowing one earned run off of six hits. Knies threw 79-82 with his fastball displaying a balanced delivery. He also threw a slider in the game helping him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Knies threw strikes with his good fastball and was able to strike out eight batters in the game and walk none.

The Louisians Diamond Dawgs beat the East Cobb Patriots 18u 7-5. Sloan Dieter (2013, St. Mary's HS, LA)  went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double to left field, scored 1 run, and racked up 2 RBI. Joe Robbins (2012, Tioga HS, LA) went 2 for 2, scored 3 runs, and got 1 RBI. Kodie Tidwell (2012, West Ouachita HS, LA) had 2 hits, scored once, and had 1 RBI. Zachary Stephenson (2012, Ouachita Chritian HS, LA) also got a hit and scored 1 run.

The Patriots, though they didn't win, had a lot of big hits. Christopher Moates (2011, Lee County HS, GA) hit a triple and a double to right field and got 1 RBI.  Sumner McWhorter (2013, Southern Union HS, GA) went 3 for 4 with a double to left field, scored once, and got 2 RBI. Rob Shayne  (2013, Northside HS, GA) nailed a line drive double to left field and scored 1 run.

RHP Joseph McKee (2013, New Smyrna Beach, FL) had a strong day at the mound for the Orlando Scorpions 17U White squad, striking out 8 batters through 6 innings and allowing 2 runs off 4 hits.  Of his 92 pitches, 61 came across the plate as strikes.  He was a competitor on the mound, changing the speed of his pitches to keep batters off balance and showing good command of his pitches around the plate.  His fastball averaged 78-80 mph and topped out at 83 mph while his curveball hung around the lower 70s and upper 60s.

Miguel Egea (2013, Lake Nona, FL) led the Scorpions offensively, going 1-2 with 2 stolen bases and scoring both of their runs in the game, but he was unable to give his team the W as the Scorpions and USC Knights ended the game in a 2-2 tie.

Arnold Dominguez (2013, Intech Academy, NY) led the USC Knights, going 2-3 and driving in 2 RBI's but was unable to get any help offensively from the USC Knights squad.

Trevor was 2-4 with two RBI showing good bat speed and a fluid stroke. He also showed good defensive actions in the outfield as he took good routes and had quick feet. Tyler showed off his live bat going 3-4 out of the leadoff spot. Tyler ripped two doubles into the gap and drove in one run. He also showed off his speed as he stole one base in the game.

Garrett Waiters (2012, Manatee, FL) was the starter for the Devils pitching all seven innings allowing two earned runs off of eight hits. He threw 71-75 and also threw a change helping him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Waiters had sound mechanics and was deceptive in his delivery as he struck out eight batters in the game.

For the Scorpions Jacob Martin (2014, West Orange, FL) was 2-2 with a RBI. Martin showed he is a gap to gap hitter with pop as he was able to be one of two players on his team to have a multi hit game and drive in a run.

The pitchers shined today in the game between Team IMPACT Collier County and the Florida Baseball Heaven. Getting the start for Florida Baseball Heaven was Kevin Long (2014, Plant City, FL) who pitched all seven innings allowing two earned runs off of ten hits. Long pitched downhill and had an online delivery. He threw 81-84 with his fastball and changed speeds with his 11/5 curve, which he used as his out pitch. Long set up hitters and struck out ten batters in the game.

For Team IMPACT Joe Rivera (2013, Palmetto Ridge, FL) and Nick Dibenedetto (2012, Canterbury, FL) both pitched great games in relief. Rivera threw two innings allowing no hits and no earned runs. Rivera threw 85-87 with his good fastball and also threw a good changeup. Rivera overpowered batters with his fastball and recorded four of his six outs by way of the strikeout. Dibenedetto threw two innings allowing no hits and no earned runs as well. He pitched downhill with loose arm action. He threw 80-83 with his fastball and also threw an average curve. Dibenedetto had a balanced online delivery and was able to record all but one of his outs with a strikeout.      

Blaze Vazquez (2013, Naples, FL) was 3-4 in the game driving in two runs. He had a fluid stroke and a sound hitting approach helping him have success at the dish today. Vazquez came up with some clutch hits with runners in scoring position today for Team IMPACT.

Seth Martinez (2013, Sunrise Mountain, AZ) got the start today for the Marlins Scout Team/Storm as they defeated Top Notch 4-0. Martinez threw six innings allowing no earned runs off of three hits. His arm worked well and he threw easy off the mound. He had sound mechanics throwing 82-87 with his fastball. He also threw a good 11/5 late breaking curve. Martinez was a bulldog on the mound maintaining velocity and overpowering batters with his heater. Martinez struck out ten batters in the game and walked none. 

Brick Paskiewicz (2013, Sunrise Mountain, AZ) was 3-3 in the game with one RBI. Paskiewicz showed good bat speed and a fluid stroke as he was able to come up with some big hits for his team. His aggressiveness and solid approach at the plate led to his success today.

Kevin Brantley (2012, Wekiva, FL) was 1-2 out of the lead off spot for the Marlins. Brantley had a quick bat and live bat as he ripped a double into the gap today. Brantley showed he can hit to all fields and was able to have a good eye as well drawing one walk in the game.

Ryan Clark (2012, Johnson City, NY) had a huge game today for the Syracuse Sports Zone Chiefs as they defeated the Coastal Georgia Hooks 10-5. Clark was 4-5 in the game with four RBI. He had good bat speed and was able to drive the ball with regular contact today. Clark was able to rip the ball into the gap for a double today as well. Evan Harasta (2012, Webster Thomas, NY) was 3-5 in the game as he showed off his gap power lining two doubles in the game. He had good defensive actions behind the plate blocking well and showing outstanding arm strength. Nick Sinay (2012, Marcellus, NY) homered out of the leadoff spot for the Chiefs. Sinay showed off his quick bat as he got around on a pitch and took it deep. He was 2-5 in the game and also stole two bases.

For the Hooks Garrett Lee (2013, Glynn Academy, GA) was 1-3 with three RBI. Lee showed good bat speed and a fluid stroke as he was able to drive some clutch runs for the Hooks today. Ridge Harrison (2013, Frederica, FL) was the starter throwing four innings allowing two earned runs off of seven hits. Harrison threw 77-80 with his fastball and also threw a good 12/6 late breaking curve. Harrison struck out six batters in the game changing speeds well.

The Texas Sun Devils were led by Dane Steinhagen (2012, Monsignor Kelly, TX), Victor Negron (Morgan City, LA), and Rock Rucker (2012, Russell County, GA). The Sun Devils defeated Xtreme Baseball 11-0 today. Steinhagen was 2-3 with two RBI using his fluid stroke and good bat speed to have success at the dish today. Steinhagen's line drive swing plane helped him line the ball into the gap today as he had a double in the game. Negron was 2-3 with three RBI as he used his quick bat to get clutch hits today with runners in scoring position. Negron had a sound hitting approach at the dish as well. Finally Rucker showed off his raw power as he crushed a homer in the game. Rucker was 1-1 and showed a good eye as he drew two walks in the game.

On the mound for the Sun Devils was Hayden Guidry (2013, Bridge City, TX) who pitched three innings allowing one hit and no earned runs. Guidry's arm worked well and he had sound mechanics. He struck 79-84 with an explosive fastball and also threw a good 12/6 curve. Guidry worked fast and attacked hitters striking out six batters and walking only one.

The batters for Team Mizuno of PR looked like they could not be stopped today. The one through four hitters for Team Mizuno went a combined 9-11 with nine RBI and four walks. Batting lead off was Brian Ortiz (2012, PR Baseball Academy, PR) who was 2-4 and he laced a double in the game. Ortiz's biggest contribution was his speed on the bases. Ortiz scored four runs for Mizuno. Next was Jan Hernandez (2013, Carlos Beltran, PR) who is ranked 17th in the class of 2013. Hernandez was 3-3 in the game with two RBI. He showed good bat speed and a sound hitting approach as he ripped the ball for a triple today. Victor Caritini (Puerto Rico Baseball Academy, PR) was 2-2 with three RBI out of the three hole. Caritini showed a good eye as he waited for the right pitches to hit today and was able to draw to walks. Finally in the clean up spot was Alexis Olmeda (2012, International, PR) who was 2-3 with four RBI. Olmeda used his good bat speed and sound hitting approach to come up with clutch hits with runners in scoring position today.

Team Mizuno pitchers combined to allow only two hits and no earned runs against the Long Island Whalers. They struck out seven Whalers batters and walked only two in their 13-0 win today.

The NJ Tigers Orange team was able to have five runs come across the board and they were able to reach a tie with the Pro Source Athletics 17u Abbott team. The Orange were led by Daniel Stabulis (2013, Allentown, NJ) who drove in three runs today. Stabulis had a fluid stroke and sound hitting approach as he ripped a double in the gap today. Stabulis cleared the bases in the second inning with his clutch double.

Keeping the Tigers in the game was Sukhnam Singh (2013, West Windsor, NJ) who pitched 5 1/3 innings in relief allowing no earned runs off of just three hits. Singh's arm worked well and he threw 79-82 with his heater and also threw a curve in the game, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. His quick arm and online delivery helped him throw strikes and finish off hitters. Singh struck out six batters and walked only two.

For Pro Source Ryan Nolan (2013, Carroll, TX) and Jackson Cramer (2013, Coppell, TX) both had multi-RBI games. Nolan was 2-4 in the game with three RBI. Nolan had a fluid stroke and good bat speed in the game. He also showed off his power potential as he drove the ball for a double in the game today. Cramer was 3-4 in the game with two RBI. Cramer had a good eye and a live bat helping him have success today. He also showed a good eye as he drew one walk in the game.

NBS 18s team was tied in 1-1 game going into the bottom of the sixth inning and then they jumped out to a big lead as they scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. They won the game 7-3 over the Laredo Flames. Keegan Corley (2012, Lassiter, GA) and Tyler Mauzy (2012, Hillgrove, GA) both drove in two runs for NBS. Corley showed good bat speed and a sound hitting approach as he was able to come up with a big two RBI hit. Mauzy was also 1-3 showing a balanced swing with good extension as he drove the ball into the gap in the game today. 

For the Laredo Flames Chris Cano (2012, Carroll, TX) was 2-4 in the game with one RBI. Cano came to the plate with a power approach and he was able to use that power to crush ball into the gap for a double today. Cano displayed good lift in his swing and gap power in the game today. 

Joe Marlow (2012, Kennesaw Mountain, GA) pitched six innings for NBS allowing only one earned run off of five hits. Marlow pitched downhill and threw 79-81 with his fastball. He also threw an average curve, which helped him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Marlow struck out three batters in the game and walked only two.

En Fuego Baseball jumped out to an early lead today as they scored five runs in the first inning. En Fuego was able to hold onto that lead and won the game 7-5 over the East Cobb Astros 17/18u team. Jake Swearinger (2012, Baldwin County, AL) and Caleb Lopes both had good games with the bat today. Swearinger was 1-2 with two RBI as he used good bat speed and a sound hitting approach to drive in two big runs for his team. He also drew one walk and stole one base in the game. Lopes was 1-3 in the game with two RBI as well. Lopes used his quick bat to get around on a pitch today and drive in some key runs.   

David Mosely (2012, McGill Toolen, AL) pitched a solid game in relief today. Mosely threw 3 1/3 innings allowing no earned runs off of one hit. Mosely threw 78-83 showing solid arm action and good extension out front. He also threw a curve helping him change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Mosely used a balanced online delivery to throw strikes as he was able to strike out three batters and walk none. En Fuego pitchers held the Astros to only three hits in the game.
