2013 LHP Stephen Gonsalves (San Marcos, CA, Cathedral Catholic HS) is a projectable LHP who was up to 90 mph with more to come. He struck out three batters in 2 innings.
2014 RHP Keaton McKinney (Ankeny, IA HS) showed good pitchability as he tossed a scoreless innings with his fastball up to 86 mph this outing and he showed a nice change up.
LHP Riley Gates (Santa Clara, UT, Snow Canyon HS) was up to 85 mph today and we saw him up to 88 mph earlier this summer.
2013 RHP Ryan Olson (Laverne, CA, Damien HS) was outstanding as he used his 90 mph fastball to throw two no hit innings and he struck out three batters. Looked very good.
2013 RHP’s Kevin Lillicrop (Cypress, CA HS) and Ben McKendall (Los Angeles, CA each pitched in the mid 80’s for Team California. McKendall also continues to hit well and had a double in the game.
2013 LHP Dillon Jackson (Scottsdale, AZ, Chaparral HS) was up to 86 mph in his outing today.
2013 Timmy Richards (Long Beach, CA, Wilson HS) knocked out 2 hits and looked very good in the field.
2014 Scott Hurst (Glendora, CA, Bishop Amat HS) needs to be watched closely and had 2 hits today.
2014 Jacob Gatewood (Visalia, CA, Redwood HS) had two hits and smoked a double to the opposite field gap. 2014 bat to follow.
2013 LHP Dominic Smith (Los Angeles, CA, Serra HS) impressed with his bat and in the field yesterday and today it was on the mound as he topped out at 89 mph.
2013 RHP Erik Gonzalez (West Covina, CA, Nogales HS) is an interesting young arm and topped out at 87 mph.
2013 JP Crawford (Lakewood, CA, HS) was the final pitcher for the CA team and did not allow a run in 1 1/3 innings pitched with his fastball topping out at 87 mph.
2013 Andy Ward (Oviedo, FL HS) continued to impress. After being named the most valuable pitcher at the WWBA 16U National Championship this summer with the Orlando Scorpions, Ward tossed 2 scoreless innings striking out two batters for the East team.
2013 RHP Trey Lee Cobb (Broken Arrow, OK HS) is a very interesting RHP to watch as he showed a 90 mph fastball and sharp breaking ball with good potential.
2013 RHP Austin DeCarr (Foxboro, MA, Xaverian Brothers HS) has a very good arm and was gunned at 91 mph across the infield yesterday. He was up to 86 mph on the mound today with more to come.
2013 RHP Alden Cartwright (Baton Rouge, LA, Runnels HS) showed a nice arm and ran his fastball up to 87 mph.
AJ Puk (Cedar Rapids, IA, Washington HS) is a very interesting 2-way prospect and the big LHP was up to 86 mph with a very loose arm. His bat also needs to be watched closely.
Jake Fraley (Middletown, DE, Red Lion Christian Academy) smoked a triple over the RF’s head and is LH bat to watch closely.
Andy McGuire (Oakton, VA, James Madison) has looked very good all event and did not get out this event and he went 3-3 today and scored each time up.
2013 Travis Demeritte (Statham, GA, Winder Barrow HS) showed a fast arm and ran his fastball up to 91 mph.
2014 Justin Bellinger (Weston, MA, St. Sebastian’s School) looked very good as the big left handed hitter went 4-4 today and knocked in 4 runs.
2013 Anthony Sherlag (Atlanta, GA, Marist HS) was ripping the ball all day and he had 3 hits including 2 doubles and drove in 4 runs.
2013’s Oscar Mercado (Tampa, FL, Gaither HS), John Sternagel (Rockledge, FL, HS) and Eric Knox (Guyton, GA, Effingham County) all showed why they are big time prospects each knocking out two hits and Sternagel and Knox each had doubles.
2013 Brandon Benecke (Jackson, NJ, Liberty HS) laced a double and drove in 3 runs.
Taylor Allum (Grayson, GA HS) tossed 2 shutout innings and showed a mid 80’s fastball.
Adrian Chacon (Tampa, FL, Jesuit HS) continues to impress this time on the mound tossing a shutout inning with his fastball topping at 87 mph.
Team California knocked of Team USA 10-3 to advance to the
championship game tomorrow against the West Team. Here are the highlights from the game
2013 LHP Ian Clarkin (San Diego, CA, James Madison HS)
started for the California team and was very impressive with a good delivery
and his fastball topped out at 89 mph. He struck out 4 batters in his two
innings of work.
2013 RHP Bryce Welborn (The Woodlands, TX, Northland
Christian) showed a nice arm and he topped out at 89 mph as he got the start
for the USA team.
2013 RHP Andy Honiotes (Geneva, IL, Community HS) has a nice
arm and pitched well as he sat 86-87 mph. He struck out 5 in 3 innings of work.
2013 RHP Jack Morello (Los Angeles, CA, Notre Dame HS)
pitched in the mid 80’s.
2013 RHP John Gamble (Escondido, CA, Santa Fe Christian) has
a fast arm and looked good with his fastball topping out at 88 mph.
2013 RHP Michael Martin (San Diego, CA, Cathedral Catholic
HS) showed good pitchability as he pitched in the mid 80’s.
Kramer Robertson (McGregor, TX, Midway HS) continues to
impress. He has a very impressive infield arm and good juice in his bat.
2014 Keaton McKinney (Ankeny, IA HS) was very impressive in
BP and also laced a double in the game as well as a hard single.
2014 Drew Ward (Leedey, OK HS) was very impressive as usual.
Special bat and the ball just sounds different when he hits it.
2013 Gosuke Katoh (Poway, CA, Rancho Bernardo HS) made an
outstanding play with a glove flip to 2nd to start a double play in
the game. Very good at 2B. He also has a nice swing and stroked a double to the
opposite field gap in the game.
2013 Dominic Smith (Los Angeles, CA, Serra HS) has an easy
LH swing and the ball flies off his barrel . Very impressive hitter. He knocked out 2 hits in the game including a
2013 JP Crawford (Lakewood, CA HS) is an outstanding all
around talent. Very good in the field, strong arm and very good hitting tools.

2013 Colin Winters (Carlsbad, CA, La Costa Canyon HS) has
serious juice in his bat and launched a ball well out of the stadium in BP.
2014 Alex Jackson (Escondido, CA, Rancho Bernardo HS) is a
very interesting young prospect. Good catch and throw skills and a very
interesting young bat to watch.
2013 Dalton Davis (Hazel Green, AL HS) topped out at 86 mph
and struck out 3 guys in two innings of work.
2013 Ian McKendall (Los Angeles, CA) showed very well with
the bat both in BP and in the game with two hits.
2014 Jacob Gatewood (Visalia, CA, Redwood HS) is an
interesting two way prospect and showed a mid 80’s fastball on the mound with
more to come and a projectable bat.
