Connor Buggy (2018 C, Hummelstown, PA) showed off nice looseness and overall quickness to his righthanded swing with sound balance and a feel for the barrel. He was on time with his leg lift trigger and has a feel for the barrel with an easy stroke and occasional loft to the pull side.
Hunter McGarvey (2018 C, Lansdale, PA) looks the part in the box and his swing matches as he as he showed plenty of quickness to his swing. He stays direct to the ball and does a nice job of creating solid bat speed which resulted in consistent line drive contact to all parts of the field.
A lefthanded hitter, Philip Bernstein (2018 OF, Brooklyn, NY) showed a short stroke as well as a consistent feel for the barrel as he was able to create consistent line drive contact back up the box. He projects well physically and already shows sound bat speed with balance to his swing as well as an ability to repeat it.
David Ring (2019 2B, Wyckoff, NJ) uses a toe tap trigger at the start of his righthanded swing and shows a line drive stroke through the zone. He showed quickness to his hands as well as a feel for the barrel, showing occasional lift to his swing and carry to the pull side.
Nick Breznak (2019 LHP, Lititz, PA) is listed as a primary lefthanded pitcher but he’s plenty interesting in the righthanded batter’s box as well. He’s able to generate stand out type bat speed in the event and attacks the baseball with lots of intent and hard carry coming off the barrel to the middle and pull side parts with backspin.
Tate Ballestero (2019 C, Convent Station, NJ) is a young switch-hitter who’s listed at a long and lean 6-foot-3, 175-pounds and projects nicely, though he already shows a handle for the barrel from either side of the plate. His swing is a bit more fluid and natural from the left side where he stays short to the ball with sound bat speed and lift out front.
Steven Loden (2019 SS, Lower Gwynedd, PA) is strongly built at 6-foot, 180-pounds and though he’s just entering his sophomore year he’s able to use that physicality in his swing. When he’s on time with his swing he’s able to impact the base to the pull side, showing a full path to the ball with interesting leverage out front.
Tanner Froehlich (2018 C, Pittsburgh, PA) is a primary catcher who impressed with the bat from the right side showing nice hand speed as well as the ability to create leverage on balls to his pull side. He clears his hips well and shows plenty of overall looseness to his swing.
Zachary Selinger (2019 2B, Cortlandt Manor, NY) showed off interesting tools in the righthanded batter’s box during his round of batting practice. Beginning his swing with a leg lift trigger Selinger was able to create solid bat speed through the zone with nice raw strength off the barrel.
Joey Davis (2019 3B, Middletown, DE) is another rising sophomore who showed a nice feel for the barrel from the right side, staying short and balanced throughout his swing. He has present hand speed and showed a steady feel for the barrel with consistent contact to the middle of the field.
P.J. Hanisak (2018 C, Port Murray, NJ) has a large and strong 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame and he uses that strength to create consistent loud contact off the barrel. He shows off a quick barrel from the right side with hard, line drive contact coming off with back spin to the pull side.
Christopher Wagner (2017 OF, Staten Island, NY) begins with an upright stance in the box and utilizes his physical strength to his build nicely in his swing. He shows a full swing through the zone and creates contact out front with nice lift at the point of contact when on time with the swing.
Jonathan Sandella (2018 3B, New York, NY) begins his swing with a wide base and uses a simple leg lift trigger for timing. His swing is easy and he’s able to show strength at the point of contact while working all parts of the field.
Derrick Newman Jr (2018 3B, Fort Washington, MD) turned in one of the louder performances throughout batting practice as he showed off sound bat speed from the right side with plenty of strength and lift at the point of contact. The ball came off of his barrel loud and hard to all parts of the field.
Peter Minneci (2019 1B, Shoreham, NY) is listed at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds and he’s able to use that strength as he he shows loose and quick hands to his righthanded swing, generating solid bat speed with nice jump off of the barrel.
Kyle Laing (2018 RHP, West Chester, PA) showed nice balance to his righthanded swing as he remained on time and was consistently balanced in his swing. He showed a line drive swing plane with occasional lift out front and was able to work the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort.
Reese Varley (2018 C, Haymarket, VA) has a full righthanded swing through the zone and he does a nice job of incorporating his physical strength into his stroke. He does a nice job of getting his arms extended at the point of contact and shows nice bat speed and strength coming off the barrel to the pull side.
Jason Xiong (2018 C, Rehoboth Beach, DE) showed off his quick hands from the right side as well as a short stroke with solid strength at the point of contact. He’s able to create loud contact off the barrel when squared and shows comfort with turning on baseballs.
Peter Gallo (2019 C, Asbury, NJ) showed looseness to hands from the right side and was able to create loud contact to deep center field when on time with the barrel and weight shift.
