Alex Blaszyk (2017 RHP, Poway, CA) High energy release from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball has good run to each side of the plate topping at 85 mph. Effectively kept hitter off balanced with curveball had had tight rotation with late depth. Allowed only three hits over three innings of work.

Jordon Bolt-Jackson (2017 RHP, San Diego, CA) Released from a three-quarters slot generating good downward plane to the plate. Fastball has solid arm side run topping at 83 mph. Flashed a slider with 9/4 action that had good spin and tilt.

Jacob Baldauf (2017 RHP, Los Alamitos, CA) Collected three hits including a double. Has a balanced, line drive approach that allows for all fields contact.

Drew Clark (2017 OF, Reno, NV) Hammered two doubles today including one off the wall in deep left center field in second at bat. Has a balanced approach with a naturally lifted plane and good leverage.

Clayton Ellis (2017 3B, San Jacinto, CA) Has a naturally lifted swing plane with good leverage through extension. Consistently squared up baseball throughout the day leading to a single and very hard line out to second base. Also pitched showing a smooth paced delivery from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly with occasional run topping at 81 mph.

Desmond Gates (2017 OF, Los Angeles, CA) Aggressive approach at the plate and swing with intent to drive the baseball. Doubled to deep right center field. Shows a smooth hand and barrel path through extension that generated solid lift.

Kaiser Weiss (2017 OF, Oxnard, CA) Has a compact, line drive swing plane with good extension through finish. Flashed very quick hands to contact throughout the zone. Baseball jumped off barrel on a double that had tight backspin and good carry.

Matthew Meyer (2017 LHP, San Diego, CA) Showed a loose arm action from a mid three-quarters slot. High energy release with fastball topping at 83 mph. Fastball also had good running action to arm side. Slider has solid sweeping action with late tilt. Allowed three hits over four innings while striking out four batters.

Kevin Wiseman (2017 RHP/3B, Fallbrook, CA) While on the mound showed a three-quarters arm slot that produced good downhill plane to the plate. Fastball topped at 87 mph with very heavy actions. Effectively missed barrels and induced weak contact. At the plate Wiseman drove in a runner on a sharp line drive single to center field. Swing has a smooth uphill plane with good leverage.

Korey Cirks (2017 RHP, Villa Park, CA) took up a submarine pitching style in January from what we're told and really executes it well.  He was 74-76 mph with the expected life for three easy shutout innings and showed a sharp breaking 67 mph slider as well.  It's a pitching style that is going to get hitters out at the college level.

Brandon Deutsch (2017 RHP, Los Angeles, CA) threw four scoreless innings, topping out at 85 mph early and settling down into the low 80's/high 70's and filling up the strike zone.  He also threw a curveball and change up.

Bryan Pope (2017 2B, Ladera Ranch, CA) is a primary infielder but we liked him on the mound this weekend just as much.  He threw two innings, working in the 83-86 mph range with a sharp downer 71 mph curveball.

Jack Mori (2017 OF, San Mateo, CA) had a nice game on both sides of the ball.  He hit a big double to left centerfield that was the hardest hit ball of the day, plus threw a scoreless inning with an 81-83 mph fastball and very sharp, late breaking 76 mph slider.

Drew Sims (2017 C, Winchester, CA) sacrificed a bat to do it but he followed Mori's double with a double of his own into the left field corner, scoring the game's only run with two outs in the bottom of the fifth and final inning

Dylan Aronne (2017 OF, Dana Point, CA) continued his hot hitting, picking up the only hit for the Cardinal team, his third of the day, with a line drive single.

Green defeats gold 1-0 with a combined on hitter.

Isaac Martinez (2017 OF, Irvine, CA) collected the only hit for the Gold with a leadoff single in the 4th inning.

Charles Nelson (2017 RHP, Los Angeles, CA) pitched 4 innings for the Gold giving up 4 hits, 1 run, while striking out 3.

Takashi Umino (2017 RHP, Naka, Japan) Pitched 4 scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit and striking out 5. Fb was 82-84 mph, cb 64 mph, and a 75 mph slider. He had good command of all 3 pitches.

Haruto Nakano (2017 OF, Chigasaki, Japan) singled and scored the winning run for the Green team in the 2nd inning. He also pitched 1 inning to close the game with an 80 mph fb and 69 mph submarine pitch.

Harrison Spohn (2017 3B, Upland, CA) had a double and an RBI knocking in the winning run early in the game. Spohn is committed to California Baptist.

Jack Kiernan (2017 1B, Minnetonka, MN) and Brandon Deutsch (2017 RHP/OF, Los Angeles, CA) also had singles for the Green team in the game.

Gold edges Cardinal in the morning game with a 1-0 victory.

Ryo Takaoka (2017 LHP, Kusatsu, Japan) pitched 4 shutout innings giving up 2 hits. He also took a ball off the chest in the 1st inning and still made the play.

Braiden Ward (2017 SS, Merced, CA) went 1-1 with an infield single, 3.78 home to first from the left side. The Washington commit also closed the game with an 84 mph fastball.

Aaron Bran (2017 3B, Twin Falls, ID) scored the only run of the game after leading off with a double down the left field line.

George Erwin (2017 OF, Aliso Viejo, CA) and Dustin Angus (2017 SS, Laguna Beach, CA) also had singles for the Gold team.

Dylan Aronne (2017 OF, Dana Point, CA) had the only hits for the Cardinal squad going 2-2 with 2 singles. He also pitch one scoreless inning with no hits and an 83 mph fastball.

Alec Flemetakis (2017 SS/RHP, Hurricane, UT) pitched 3 innings for the Cardinal team. Fastball was 84-86 mph with good run, curve was 70 mph, and had a nice 76 mph change.

Holt Jones (2017 RHP, Santa Monica, CA) has a long lean build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength.  Fastball showed life at plate and topped at 86.  He mixed in slider at 73.

Desmond Gates (2017 OF, Los Angeles, CA) showed a solid line drive swing plane with good bat speed on a triple to LCF. Has an aggressive approach.

Teppei Fukuda (2017 C, Kawasaki, KN) shows quick hands at the plate with good bat path to the ball on his double down the left field line. He finished with two hits on the day. Defensively he  showed advanced catching tools with quick feet and strong arm.

Taiyo Konishi (2017 RHP, Urayasu, CH) was up to 80 with plus feel for his off speed stuff including a plus curveball at 67 with 11/5 shpae.

Shintaro Mikami (2017 RHP, Chigasaki, KN) was up to 83  and showed plus feel for his 71 MPH curveball that showed good depth and tight spin.

Cameron Nixon (2017 RHP, Las Vegas, NV) was up to 85 with life down in zone.  Was aggressive with fastball and mixed in a curveball at 71 and change up at 76.

Chris Buting (2017 C/RHP, Irvine, CA) was up to  85 with his fastball with a quick paced delivery.  Mixed in a sharp curveball at 68 with depth.

Christopher Morgan (2017 LHP, Buena Park, CA) was up to 80 with good arm side run and feel for  acurbeball with 12/6 shpae and depth.

Kaiser Weiss (2017 OF, Oxnard, CA) was 2 for 3 on the day with a stolen base,   showing a mid field approach. and good barrel control.

Kaiser Weiss (2017 OF, Oxnard, CA) is a solid all around athlete with a commitment to Washington.  He squared up the ball hard and consistently in BP with an easy swing that created plenty of back spin and carry on the ball.

Desmond Gates (2017 OF, Los Angeles, CA) has a big man's approach on a smaller young man's body but he executed his full effort attacking uphill swing very well and squared up the ball with some pull power. 

Dylan Aronne (2017 OF, Dana Point, CA) has a spread and crouched stance and really gets behind the ball well and attacks it aggressively with good bat speed and steady line drive contact.

Bryan Pope (2017 2B, Ladera Ranch, CA) has an easy and loose line drive swing that was very well timed and produced lots of mid field to pull side contact.

Joseph Firestone (2017 OF, Santa Barbara, CA) has very nice flow and timing into contact and was squaring the ball up hard from his first swing.  It's a fluid right handed swing with lots of pull line drive contact. 

Blake Mann (2017 OF, Porter Ranch, CA) was dropping easy bombs over the left centerfield fence early in BP, with plus carry, until he started trying to and changed his hand path and the result.  Less is sometimes more!

Clifford Pradd (2017 SS, Riverside, CA) had a very strong round, hitting with what scout's refer to as "controlled aggression", which basically means attacking the baseball while remaining calm and balanced in one's swing mechanics.

Drew Sims (2017 C, Winchester, CA) hits from a bent knee stance with a low hand start and gets the barrel on plane with the ball early and stays there.  He has a chance to really hit with additional strength on his 6-4/190 frame.

Jacob Baldauf (2017 RHP, Los Alamitos, CA) High energy arm action on fastball offering that had good arm side run, topping at 86 mph. Curveball has tight rotation and solid depth down in the zone at 70 mph.

Kenta Tanaka (2017 RHP, Yamato, KN) Simple, repeatable mechanics from three-quarters arm slot. Fastball had occasional arm side run topping at 81 mph. Changeup has very good late sink and fade, maintains arm speed on changeup offering.

Drew Clark (2017 OF, Reno, NV) Releases for a three-quarters slot working both edges of the plate. Fastball topped at 84 mph with good arm side run working middle in. Flashed a 9/4 curveball with sweeping action and good depth. Also showed a compact swing plane creating solid bat speed and strength at contact.

Chris Demgen (2017 OF, Carlsbad, CA) Fastball topped at 83 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball have heavy actions to plate while jumping on hitters. Curveball has good depth and some sweep. Flashed a changeup as well with solid fading action.

Jack Mori (2017 OF, San Mateo, CA) Continued to hit the baseball hard showing a smooth barrel path through finish on an naturally lifted path. Hammered a line drive single to center field in first at bat.

Drew Sims (2017 C, Winchester, CA) Has a very mature presence at the plate with a mid-field approach. Stroked two double in game two showing very good bat speed and strength at contact. Last double hit high off the wall in left field.

Dylan Lack (2017 1B, Fullerton, CA) Showed the ability to produce bat speed by turning the barrel to contact. Doubled down the left field line on a pitch located on the inner half of the plate.

Braiden Ward (2017 SS, Merced, CA) Homered to right field aggressively turning the barrel to contact. Produces consistent, loud contact with carry between the outfield gaps.

Nathan Tholl (2017 1B, Vista, CA) Swing plane has natural lift with solid bat speed through extension. Doubled deep over the left fielders head in game 2 of Saturday.

George Erwin (2017 OF, Aliso Viejo, CA) Flashed solid bat speed while doubled to the left center field gap. Creates good extension through baseball allowing for backspin and carry.

Harrison Spohn (2017 3B, Upland, CA) Very smooth, athletic actions while working at third base. Flashed good arm strength with accurate, on line carry as well. At the plate has very good bat speed that produces very loud contact. Primarily worked the middle of the field with a line drive approach.

Hodaka Usuki (2017 C, Shirakawa, FS) Has a mid-field approach with a smooth, line drive swing plane. Controlled the barrel well throughout the zone and produced a sharp single in his first at bat.

Trevor Smith (2017 MIF, Coronado, CA) Has a balanced, compact path to baseball. Smooth, athletic actions while getting through extension. Produced a sharp, line drive single to center field in first at bat.

Drew Sims (2017 C, Winchester, CA) Has an athletic, repeatable swing at the plate. Flashed good bat speed and strength at contact producing a very sharp single in his first at bat.

Masahiro Ban (2017 LHP, Ota, TK) Went three innings allowing zero runs on four hits. Fastball topped at 81 mph with the ability to work to each edge of the plate. Curveball had 9/4 action with some sweeping depth located down in the zone.

Kurt Pitha (2017 RHP, Reno, NV) Fastball jumps out of hand well ranging in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 mph. Commands the zone well primarily working down at the knees. Pitha allowed on two hits over two innings while not allowing a run.

Robbie Brue (2017 C, Castro Valley , CA) Showed smooth defensive actions while behind the plate with strong hands while receiving. Also showed a level, line drive swing plane that produced a hard hit double down the left field line.

Blake Mann (2017 OF, Porter Ranch, CA) Has good balanced at the plate with an aggresive approach. Barrel comes through the zone on a naturally lifted plane creating solid leverage. Had a line drive single to left field in first at bat.

David Rivera (2017 SS, Lakewood, CA) Quick hands to contact with a compact path. Can easily get barrel to pitches located middle in. Produced a hard ground ball single down the third base line in first at bat.

Nicholas Zielomski (2017 MIF, Fontana, CA) Flashed solid bat speed through extension. Had a sharply hit, rising line drive past the shortstop into left center field in first at bat.

Evan Paras (2017 3B, Oxnard, CA) Shows a strong hand position at contact producing good jump of the barrel when squared. Hammer a line drive single to left field for an RBI in his first at bat.

Kevin Wiseman (2017 RHP, Fallbrook, CA) Has very good bat speed and strength at contact that produces good backspin and carry into the outfield gaps. Drove a double off the wall to deep right center field in his first at bat.

Genki Muroi (2017 LHP, Kawasaki, KN) Showed a low, loose arm action with smooth paced actions throughout delivery. Baseball came out of hand cleanly topping at 83 mph. Flashed a slider that had solid tilt and depth when located down in the zone.

George Erwin (2017 OF, Aliso Viejo, CA) Has a compact path to contact creating a line drive plane through extension. Also very aggressive on base paths, stole second and third base before scoring on a wild pitch.

Isaac Martinez (2017 OF, Irvine, CA) Shows a leveraged swing plane with good barrel control while working to contact. Produced a sharp line drive single to opposite field in first at bat of the day.

Kurt Pitha (2017 RHP, Reno, NV) Compact, inside swing plane that creates good extension through finish. Produces a sharp single in first at bat showing good plate discipline as well.

Emilio Escobedo (2017 C, Poway, CA) Has a large frame with present strength. Turns barrel to contact well producing solid jump off the barrel. Lined a ball to left field in first at bat of the day.

Alex Hernandez (2017 LHP, Brawley, CA) Has a loose arm action with good life on fastball that has occasional arm side run topping at 82 mph. Slider has 3/8 actions with sweep and some depth. Flashed a changeup with fading action in the upper 60's.
