Kalvin Shepard (2016 Cedar Rapids, IA) went 1 for 3 with a triple.

Spencer Van Scoyoc (2016 Cedar Rapids, IA) sat 85-88 MPH and struck out 9 in his 3 innings of work. 

Ben Norman (2016 Des Moines, IA) went 3 for 4 with a double in his first at bat.

Poster Hummel (2016 Hawarden, IA) tossed 4 innings sitting 79-82 MPH striking out 2.

Izaya-Ono-Fullard (2017 North Liberty, IA) got up to 85 MPH in his one inning of work and went 1 for 3 at the plate.

Ross Kramer (2016 Urbandale, IA) sat 85-87 MPH and struck out 1 in his 1 inning of work.

Connor Van Scoyoc (2018 Cedar Rapids, IA) sat 84-85 MPH topping out at 86 MPH in his 3 innings of of shutout pitching.

Tucker Mai (2016 Dubuque, IA ) pitched 3 innings and had a double.  On the mound Mai sat 79-81MPH and showed good depth on his curveball.

Cody Kellogg (2016 Toledo, IA) did a nice job on the mound and swung it well today.  Kellogg had a triple and threw 3 innings topping 82 MPH.

Ethan Weinandy (2016 Lake in the Hills, IL) was 2 for 2 at the dish with hard contact to the opposite field.

Luke Eldred (2016 Mount Vernon, IA) sat 84-86 MPH in his 3 hitless innings of work.  Eldred aslo has a two-seam fastball that sat at a consistent 82 MPH.

Parker Thode (2016 Ottawa, IA) got up to 85 MPH and did a nice job of pounding the strike zone.

Tyler Hillman (2016 Pella, IA) had a double in the seventh.  Hillman has a very projectable frame and a strong arm across the infield.

Bryce Ball (2016 Mason City, IA) is a big strong kid that looks to hit the ball with authority every time he steps up to the plate.  Ball had a triple down the right field line in the 8^th and later scored.

Grant Judkins (2016 Pella, IA) went 3 for 3 on the day and was a homer short of the cycle.  Judkins has an advanced hitting approach at the plate for his age and makes loud contact every time he steps in the box.

Alex Fedje-Johnson (2016 Minneapolis, MN) showed some lift on his swing with two extra base hits on the day, a double and a triple.

Nathan Kuhn (2016 Eagan, MN) made a terrific catch over the third base dugout railing.  Kuhn had very solid defensive actions and quick transfers on double plays. 

Kale Kampen (2016 Humboldt, IA) had seven strike outs in his 3 innings of work.  The only hit he gave up was an infield single to the shortstop.  Kampen’s fastball got up to 87 MPH.

Matt Vickers (2016 Rapid City, SD) threw 3 innings of scoreless baseball.  Vickers struck out 5 and sat 80-82 MPH.

Joe Rozeboom (2016 Waukee, IA) topped out at 83 MPH. Rozeboom worked quickly and projects well for the mound. He also had a triple in the 9^th inning. 

Brooks Asher (2016 Hastings, NE) led the first inning off for the Cardinal team with a double to right field.  Asher had two hits on the day and has solid bat control.

Noah Brocato (2016 Labadie, MO) was good for two hits and a run scored.  Brocato has good bat speed and an opposite field approach.

Chance Fosket (2016 Grand Island, NE) had two hits including a double.  Fosket hit the ball hard all day.

Alex Mixon (2016 Cedar Rapids, IA) stoked a double in the 5^th.  Mixon has good extension and has some natural lift to his swing.

Jon Rozeboom (2016 1B, Waukee, IA) has a big 6-3/210 build and lots of present strength in his swing.  He gets the ball into the air consistently right now and it will keep going a long way.

Alex Fedje-Johnson (2016 SS, Minneapolis, MN) needs to add some strength to his 6-0/170 build but he squares the ball up well now with a short and quick swing that uses his lower half well to help generate bat speed.

Matt Vickers (2016 LHP, Rapid City, SD) is a primary pitcher but he has lots of two-way potential at the college level.  His left handed swing is short and quick and he lined the ball hard to all fields.

Blake Elsbecker (2016 OF, Algona, IA) is a very nice athlete who is just coming off ACL surgery but who showed lots of raw bat speed with a loose upper body generated right handed swing.

Ryan Zellmer (2016 OF, Eagan, MN) is another very athletic looking right handed hitter who creates lots of bat speed and projects to keep getting better.  His hands start very low in his swing but he has loose extension through the ball and lots of lift.

Cooper Merrill (2016 SS, Mason City, IA) showed some of the best hitting mechanics of the day with an easy shift into contact and a short and strong swing that had some gap power.

Caleb Stekl (2016 C, Marion, IA) has a strong and very athletic build and a loose swing that projects well.  His rock back load and shift into contact is consistently well timed and effective.

Spencer Van Scoyoc (2016 LHP, Cedar Rapids, IA) always takes a solid BP and did so again today, easily lining the ball up both alleys with an easy and loose swing.

Ben Norman (2016 OF, Des Moines, IA) has made some adjustments to his swing with less emphasis on opposite field contact that enabled him to show his raw bat speed and ability to drive the ball.

Ross Kramer (2016 OF, Urbandale, IA) has a projectable 6-2/185 build and an aggressive right handed swing that was short and quick with very good bat speed.  He's going to keep improving.

Gregory Bennett (2017 SS, Peosta, IA) took one of the best BP's of the Top Showcase and his actually a 2017 prospect.  He has very quick and efficient hands to the ball and consistently squared up the ball hard to all fields.

Izaya Ono-Fullard (2017 3B, North Liberty, IA) is another 2017 with lots of hitting ability.  He's extremely strong, especially when pulling the ball, and hit the biggest home run of the day in his final swing.

Kyle Crowl (2016 3B, Council Bluffs, IA) is adding strength step by step and that just keeps meaning more and more bat speed.

Peyton Stephens (2016 OF, Carlisle, IA) is a very strong right handed hitter who overpowers the ball at times and pulls it hard with some lift.

Shamus Segersten (2016 C, McHenry, IL) his a front side hitter with a good trigger and fast hands to the ball.  The ball jumps hard on contact, often with lots of top spin.

The following players stood out during their game at Jefferson High School.

Ryan Kirschman (2016 SS, Ankeny, IA) went 2 for 3 with a run scored showing bat speed.

Emmanuel Jeffery (2016 OF, Marion, IA) does a good job keeping his hands back and good barrel control. he had two hits including a double.

Kalvin Shepherd (2016 3B, Cedar Rapids, IA) shows strength in his swing and good hands on his double.

Ryan Wyant (2016 3B, Marion, IA) has a quick arm on the mound, he topped at 84 with his fastball.

Jake Polo (2016 RHP, Huntley, IL) has good upside on the mound with a projectable build, he topped at 81 with his fastball.

Mitch Affre (2016 Davenport, IA) had a well hit double over the left fielder's head.  Affre showed good barrel control and has some raw opposite field side power.

Braden Brown (2016 Burlington, IA) picked up a pair of hits in today's game.  Brown had strong contact to the opposite field and can move very well on the base paths.

Tyler Hillman (2016 Pella, IA) does a nice job of getting extended on balls over the plate.  Hillman had two hits in the game including a double to left.

Bryce Ball (2016 Mason City, IA)  went 3 for 3 with a double.  Ball has a big, strong body and has a nice set up and approach at the plate.  

Grant Judkins (2016 Pella, IA) smoked a ball into the right center field gap for an easy double.  Judkins showed fluid mechanics and has a good presence in the box.

Tyler Clark (2016 Lee Summit, MO) sat 79-82 MPH in four innings of work, striking out two.  Clark threw three pitches for strikes and did a nice job of settling in after the first inning.

Dominic Deharde (2016 Sussex, WI) threw three shut out innings and picked up six strike outs.  Deharde topped out at 83 MPH, and sat 79-82 MPH.

Cal Stalzer (2016 West Des Moines, IA) got up to 84 MPH today.  Stalzer, the primary shortstop, moves well on the field and has strong defensive actions.

Brooks Asher (2016 Hastings, NE) flashed some power potential in his double to left field.  Asher has a projectable frame and looks to hit the ball with authority every time he steps up to the plate.

William Aldrich (2016 Duluth, MN) had three hits on the day.  Aldrich hit everything hard today and shows a quality approach at the plate.  

Andrew Morrow (2016 Omaha, NE) smoked a ball over the left field fence for a home run.  Morrow has a good feel for the game and a very projectable frame.  

Brady Stover (2016 Huxley, IA) threw 4 innings sitting 83-86 MPH, topping out at 87 MPH.  He also picked up an impressive 9 strikeouts throwing quality pitches consistently.

Jacob Henry (2016 Cedar Rapids, IA) got up to 82 MPH on the bump.  Henry also picked up 3 strikeouts in his 2 innings of work.

TJ Sikkema (2016 - DeWitt, IA) pitched at 80-85 MPH with very good movement on his fastball.  He showed advanced feel for his off speed stuff and located his fastball well.  Interesting pitchability lefty committed to Missouri.

Spencer Van Scoyoc (2016 - Cedar Rapids, IA) swung the bat well with 2 hits and a triple.  He has good bat speed and the ball jumps when squared up.  Arizona State commit.

 Ben Norman (2016 - Des Moines, IA) hit a hard triple and showed good bat speed.  Interesting player with hitting tools.

Adam Barrett (2016 - Council Bluffs, IA) swung the bat well and had 2 hits in the game.  He has good hitting tools and barrel skills.  

Tate Holmes (2016 - Lee's Summit, MO) hit a deep double to left center field.  He showed some bat speed.
