2011 High School Baseball Road Trip

In a Pitcher's Duel Mission Viejo Tops Servite 2-0
4/7/2011 11:31:41 AM
In a crispy, well-played game Mission Viejo beat Servite 2-0 behind a complete game shutout from RHP Willie Kuhl in the third game Wednesday at Glover Stadium. Kuhl topped out at 84 over his 7 innings of work, giving up just five hits and three walks, striking out four.

His counterpart, Servite's RHP Enrigue Guzman matched him almost pitch for pitch. He threw all six innings, giving up two runs, just one earned while mirroring Kuhl with five hits, three walks, and four strikeouts.

Viejo Boog Powell had two hits including a double, and along with sharing one of baseball's best names with former the former Oriole 1B and 1970 AL MVP, had patience and quality at bats from the left side and a smooth easy swing.

PG High School provided live twitter updates throughout the game as it will do throughout the Hittin' The Road Tour. They can be found at www.twitter.com/highschoolPG.
