Santa Barbara easily beat Brighton (UT) 13-1 to kick off the first day of the PG High School Hittin' The Road Tour. The Dons scored two runs in the first, four in the second, and six in the third to take a commanding 12-0 lead after three innings.
CF Collin Dewell, an Arizona commit, stood out at the plate with three hits including two triples. He showed an even, balanced hitting approach at the plate, letting the ball travel and using quick and strong hands to drive the ball to both alleys. He showed good speed and was very aggressive on the bases.
The 6'0 175 pound senior is a player to watch and has the tools to excel at the college level.
