Christian Julius (2016 1B, Flower Mound, TX) topped out at 85mph on his fastball today with his curveball at 69mph and his slider at 76mph. Julius has an easy arm action with a deceptive delivery. He keeps his fastball down in the zone displaying a good feel for his curveball and throws all his pitches for strikes. Julius also had 2 hits in the game today including a triple. He has good speed on the bases and is an aggressive base runner.
Taylor Barber (2016 C, Flower Mound, TX) had 3 hits in the game for the Kelly Green team today. Barber has a level swing plane with bat speed and makes solid contact. Behind the plate Barber has a strong arm with a good ability to block balls.
Matthew Berube (2017 OF, Lutz, FL) also had a multi-hit game today for the Kelly Green team. Berube has a sound approach at the plate and makes consistent contact.
A.J. DiFillipo (2016 3B, Peabody, MA) was sitting 81-84mph with his fastball topping out at 85mph this morning mixing in his curveball 68mph and his changeup at 75mph. The ball comes out of his hand clean, and he has good fading action on his changeup. At the plate DiFillipo was able to collect 3 hits for the Cardinal team. He showed good bat speed with a good swing plane.
Kevin Dupuis (2016 OF, Friendswood, TX) had 3 hits in the game for the Cardinal team including a triple today. Dupuis has pop in his bat and hits the ball to all fields. He is an aggressive baserunner with good instincts on the bases.
