Batting Practice Highlights - Kelly Green/Navy
11/13/2014 10:12:39 PM
Kevin Santiago (2015 SS, Patillas, PR) showed off a smooth, easy stroke from both sides of the plate, particularly from the right side where he also showed low effort power potential.

Joshua Santiago (2015 C, Humacao, PR) opened some eyes on Thursday night, launching a ball high off the left center field fence and showing above average bat speed and lift from the right side.

Kevin Edgardo Rivera Rodríguez (2015 1B, Cayey, PR) worked from an upright stance and showed off some of the night's best bat speed. He launched a home run high over the left field fence and did it with a low effort stroke.

Nestor Muriel Allende (2015 OF, Carolina, PR) flashed impressive pull side power and has a wiry, projectable frame that will intrigue scouts. He drove one particular shot on a hard line off the left field fence.

Edwin Muniz (2015 C, Palm Bay, FL) hit a towering home run in his batting practice round and showed some of the workout's most impressive bat speed in the process.

Joshua Crispin (2015 MIF, Bayamon, PR) hit a hard shot off the left field fence in his batting practice round, showing good bat speed and consistently producing hard shots into the gap.

Carlos JJ Viera (2015 MIF, Sábana Hoyos, PR) worked from a narrow setup in his BP round, showing off above average bat speed and a compact, line drive stroke. He drove hard line drives with carry to his pull side.

Jean Carlos Rosario (2015 3B, Manati, PR) got to his back leg very well in his Thursday night batting practice round, driving the ball consistently to the middle of the field and flashing hard pull side power.

Reynaldo Rivera (2015 OF, Toa Alta, PR) closed out the evening with arguably the loudest BP round of the night. An extra tall, powerfully built lefty hitters, Rivera showed off booming power to straight away center field and power that will translate to the big parts of the field.
