Black vs Columbia Blue Game Highlights

The following players stood out in the Northeast Top Prospect Showcase game between the Black and Columbia Blue Teams.

JJ Bleday (2016, LHP, Titusville HS, PA) started the game off and showed good feel for pitching and all 4 pitches.  His fastball topped at 87 and showed a sharp late Curveball, he mixed in a slider at 80 and a good change up also at 80, the Vanderbilt commit struck out 4 in 2 innings of work.

Jake Nelson (2015, RHP/C, Hopkinton HS, NH) folllowed Bleday on the mound, his fastball topped out at do with a hard downhill angle.  Has feel for  pitches as he also mixed in a sharp curveball at 76 and a change up at 79.  Very high talent on the mound.

Matt Fogarty (2015, LHP, Millis HS, MA)  misses bats, pitching 3 innings striking out 7.  He also showed a good curveball with late break.  He also had a hit with a hard line drive single.

Brooks Parker (2015, RHP, Deerfield Academy, MA) spotted his fastball very well, which topped at 83, he also showed good curveball depth that was up to 66.

Michael Ferrara (2015, OF, Oliver Ames HS, MA) went 2 for 4 in the day showing a good mid field approach.

Christopher Hyland (2015, INF/OF, Holderness, NH) went 2 for 5 at the plate  making hard contact with good bat control.

Teddy Beaudet (2016, C, New Hampton, NH) went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored, he showed the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field.

Jordan Diaz (2015, 3B/OF, Marist, NJ), and  RJ Hall (2015, 1B/RHP, Hotchkiss, MA) each collected a hit for the Columbia Blue Team.

Peter Rosetti (2015, RHP, Canterbury HS, CT) started and went 3 inning striking out 5 showing the ability to miss bats with his fastball that topped at 80.

Liam Munshi (2015, RHP, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, ON Canada) has good depth on his curveball and topped at 83 with his fastball.

Derek Balbierz (2015, RHP, Franklin TWP, NJ)  struck out 4 in 3 innings of work with a fastball that topped at 84, he also flashed a solid curveball at 71.

Anthony Meduri (2015, OF/RHP, St Augustine Preparatory, NJ) struck out 2 in 1 inning of work with a live fastball that was up to 86.

Trevor Allen (2015, 1B/3B, Dennis-Yarmouth Reg, MA) continued to swing the bat well with a hard single.

Alexander DeVos (2015, OF, Christ the King, ON Canada) went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored, making solid contact with a mid to opposite field approach.

Michael Eberle (2015, SS, The Governor's Academy, NH) went 2 for 3 with a double, has ability to drive through the ball and flashed gap to gap power potential

David Nelson (2015, C/3B/1B, John Stark Regional, NH) went 2 for 3 with a long double off the LCF fence, ball really jumped off his bat.

Irvin E Cespedes (2015, SS, Roy C Ketcham, NY) and Cameron Reid (2015, Roy C. Ketcham, NY) each had a hit for the Black Team.
