2014 Atlantic Coast Top and Underclass

1-Black vs 2-Cardinal Highlights
8/17/2014 8:44:33 AM
Andrew Papp (2015, RHP, Leesville Road HS, NC) featured a solid three-pitch mix while tossing five innings. Papp touched 89 MPH and sat 84-88 on the day with a SL, which is his best secondary pitch, at 71-74 MPH and a CH at 75 MPH. Papp showed good mound presence and a bulldog mentality and was good at holding runners.

Bryce Patrick (2015, C/IF/RHP, Ridge View HS, SC) struck out all three batters he faced in his inning of work. Patrick flashed the ability to miss barrels from his over-the-top arm slot. Patrick's FB sat 77-78 MPH with a CB at 68 MPH and a tight SL at 71 MPH.

Brody Cook (2015, SS, Riverdale Baptist HS, MD) went 1-1 with a 3-run home run to deep left field. His power is a product of his simple approach and strong wrists.

Alec DuBreuil (2015, OF/RHP/C, Brevard HS, NC) hit a hard line drive single to RF in his only at-bat of the game. The switch hitter does a good job of letting the ball travel into the zone before attacking the pitch.

Nick Neville (2016, OF/SS, Lake Braddock Secondary, VA) went 1-1 with an RBI single. Neville made good, hard contact on his line drive to RF after letting the ball travel into the zone. Neville's approach is very simple and balanced at the plate and he benefits from quick hands.

Chris Wright (2015, C/3B, Cox Mill HS, NC) does a good job of keeping his hands back, which led to a double to RF in his one at-bat.

Edward "EP" Reese (2016, OF/2B, North Davidson HS, NC) makes the game look easy and covers a lot of ground in the OF. Reese has a quick first step and takes good routes to the ball.
