Austin Parsley (2016, RHP/3B/MIF, Ardrey Kell HS, NC) has good mechanics and an effortless arm motion on the hill. Parsley managed six strikeouts in three innings of work using his FB that hit 84 MPH and sat 78-82 MPH. He kept the ball down in the zone and got good extension out front.
Andrew LaFlam (2016, RHP/OF, Southside Christian Schools, SC) showed life on his FB reaching as high as 84 MPH. He has good movement on the ball and can throw a cut FB at 78-80 as well. LaFlam has good make-up on the mound and an effortless arm action from a 3/4 slot.
Russ Branch (2016, 2B,RHP, SS, Burns HS, NC) throws with a side-arm, submarine motion creating great sink on his FB. FB sat 70-71 MPH and reached 73 from his low arm angle and was able to command it consistently. Branch also featured a frisbee CB at 64 MPH that fooled hitters.
Taylor Trahan (2016, 2B/SS, West Forsyth HS, NC) showed a fluid stroke going 1-2 with a ground ball single to LF and a hard line out to LF. Trahan is looking to pull the ball at the plate and can make good contact with the ball.
Kodey Talbott (2016, OF/RHP, Pinecrest, NC) went 1-2 in the game sending a pitch right back up the middle for a single on a hard ground ball. Talbott hits through the baseball and goes with the ball where it is pitched. He also showed off some speed with a stolen base.
Jackson Raper (2016, SS/3B, Jay M. Robinson HS, NC) went 1-2 with a run scored. Raper showed a quick bat on his single to RF. He is looking to pull the ball but has some good pop.
Craig Colbourne (2016, 1B/OF/3B, Davie County HS, NC) consistently squared up the baseball at the plate. Colbourne finished the game 1-2 with a hard single up the middle and hit a deep line drive to CF. He has a short compact swing and stays inside the ball well.
