The following players stood out during the Maroon vs Navy game of the Northeast Underclass Showcase.
Brian Lannino (2016, RHP, Millburn HS, NJ) started for the maroon team and sowed good feel for pitching topping out at 82 and flashing a plus change up at 72. He struck out 6 in 4 innings of work.
Justen Voghel (2016, OF/RHP, The Rivers, MA) has an online delivery and topped at 82 on the mound and mixed in a 69 MPH 11/5 curveball. He also had a long home run to left field with a short swing and good extension.
Cameron O'Toole (2017, C/2B, Grafton Memorial Senior, MA) went 2 for 3 with a double and run batted in showing good patients at the plate and a good swing plane.
Sam Shaw (2016, OF, St John's, MA) has a live bat and makes solid contact.
Brian Doherty JR. (2016, MIF/OF, Billerica Memorial, MA) and Andrew Larkey (2017, INF, Bridgewater-Raritin, NJ) each had a hit for the Maroon Team.
Morgan McSweeney (2016, RHP, Worcester Academy. MA) had an impressive outing on the mound striking out 6 in 3 perfect innings. His fastball topped out at 88 and sat in the 84-86 range. The ball got on hitters quickly and had good run. He showed a 70 MPH curveball and 79 MPH change up.
Henry Ennen (2016, RHP, Boston College HS, MA) topped at 83 and also struck out 6 in 3 innings of work. His curveball at 72 has good depth.
Scott Holzwasser (2016, MIF, Lincoln-Sudbury Reg, MA) has good barrel control and went 2 for 3 on the day.
Tommy Seidl (2017, OF, St Sebastians School, MA) went 2 for 3 showing quick hands at the plate.
Michael Siani (2018, OF/LHP, St Sebastians School, MA) was perfect at the plate going 3 for 3 with a triple, run scored and a RBI. He has a live bat and the exit speed off the barrel on the triple was 91.
Patrick Webler (2016, C, Brookline HS, MA) had a double and 2 RBI's and showed good actions behind the plate.
Joe Miller (2018, OF, LaSalle, PA) and Brad Marchetti (2016, RHP/INF, WEllesley, MA) each collected a hit for the Navy Team.
