2016 C Herbert Iser (Miami Springs, FL) put on an impressive display all around and if someone knocks him off of the top spot in the forthcoming top prospect list it will mean they did something incredible on day two. Iser followed up his BP round that was highlighted by a massive home run to the pullside that bounced off of the facade of the dorms behind the right field wall (halfway up, no less) by smashing a double to left center on an 87 mph fastball away in his first at-bat. He would then double to right in his other at-bat of the day, driving in a pair each time he made very loud contact. His soft receiving and quiet movements behind the plate make for elite level receiving ability to go with a strong arm and form one of the best overall prospect profiles in the 2016 class.

On most days, 2016 RHP Garrett Gooden (Decatur, GA) would have been the top prospect in attendence. And he wasn't far behind Iser either, which says a lot. He has a tall projectable athletic frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill. His arm is loose and fast with a compact arm circle and projects to get stronger with maturity. He worked steadily at 87-90, spun a low 70s curveball and dropped in a couple promising low 80s changeups. Gooden has a very high ceiling.

2016 OF/LHP Kyle Stowers (El Cajon, CA) showed off a hose in right field, cutting down a runner attempting to go first to third on a single, nailing him by three steps with a perfect strike. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate and struck out four while walking just one over two scoreless innings of relief on the mound working 84-87 with a loose projectable arm and a quality 79 mph changeup.

2016 C Tyler Duvall (Lebanon, OH) went 2-for-2 with a walk and showed off a strong arm behind the plate.

2016 LHP Johnathan Jahn (Martinez, GA) topped out at 86 mph with a loose arm action and paired it with a slow deep low 70s curveball.

2016 C/RHP James Williams ( Kennesaw, GA) was very effective in his two innings, showing advanced pitchability from a funky delivery, hitting spots on both sides with his 84-87 mph fastball and showing a good 77 mph changeup and also spinning a low 70s curve. Williams allowed one hit and struck out a batter while facing one over the minimum in his two innings. He also showed a strong arm behind the plate, posting occasional sub 2.0 pop times on his between innings throws.
