2014 PG Underclass All American Games

Black/Purple BP Highlights
8/12/2014 2:16:08 AM
OF Dominic Fletcher (Cypress, CA):  Fletcher's outstanding arm strength is his carrying tool but he can swing the bat, too.  He has a big wrap to start his swing but has strong hands and whippy barrel speed through the zone.

SS Will Proctor (Manhattan Beach, CA):  Proctor explodes his hands well at the ball and creates lots of bat speed from his 6-foot-2, 175 pound build.  He has lots of lift in his swing and showed his power.

3B Spencer Steer (Long Beach, CA):  The Oregon commit has very strong hands and a consistent, polished swing approach that produces pull line drives one after another.

RHP/OF Tre Brown (Chula Vista, CA):  Brown has a loose, slender body that flows through the ball well in his swing and is very projectable.

OF Nicholas Baldor (Tampa, FL):  Baldor has lots of different physical tools and one of them is his quick hands from the left side of the plate.  He'll learn how to extend better for more power in the future but he squares the ball up hard now.

MIF Ryan Reynolds (Monroe, LA):  Reynolds was a walk machine in the games but showed his hitting talent from both sides of the plate well in batting practice.

LHP/OF Spencer Van Scoyoc (Cedar Rapids, IA):  Van Scoyoc continues to impress as a two-way prospect with his loose left handed swing and rapidly improving bat speed.

OF Ronald Washington (Houston, TX):  Washington is still a raw game hitter, as a 2017 prospect should be expected to be, but he has huge bat speed and power in batting practice.

C/IF Garrett Wolforth (Spring, TX):  Wolforth is another prospect whose all around tools can overshadow his hitting but he has talent from both sides of the plate and especially from his right side.

C Thomas Dillard (Cordova, TN):  Dillard is off the charts strong for a 2016 and has bat speed and hitting tools from both sides of the plate.  He followed a strong BP with an impressive game home run left handed.

OF Kace Massner (Burlington, IA):  Massner has huge physical gifts but we've noted some very positive hitting improvements this summer that will help him to play up to his athletic potential.

3B Joey Polak (Quincy, IL):  Polak continues to show that he is one of the top hitters in the 2016 class.  He is extremely strong but his right handed swing is ideal in it's short and direct path to the ball.
