For those of old enough to remember, the financial services company Northwestern Mutual had a long running advertising campaign touting itself as “The Quiet Company.” It seemed like a strange way to draw attention to oneself, especially in contrast to rival Merrill Lynch’s dominant bull figure, but it must have worked because the phrase and its connection lingers on.

In the high school class of 2014, where Tyler Kolek might whimsically represent the Merrill Lynch of those days, Florida’s Keith Weisenberg sits in the background as “The Quiet Prospect” of the top 2014 high school pitching prospects.
