Hiter to Lead Deep South Team

Drake Browne
Perfect Game is proud to announce the appointment of Mickey Hiter as the Deep South Regional Director for the Perfect Game Super25 tournament series.

Hiter served as President of the Old Timers Baseball Association and was honored in 2002 by the Association with the annual "Mr. Baseball" award for his contributions to Amateur baseball. In 1999 Hiter took over management of the Old Timers Baseball Facility in Shelby Park, which has become the operation base for SANDLOTT Baseball.

SANDLOTT baseball has in excess of 200 teams annually that participate in age groups from 12 years old to 18 years old from all over the U.S. and Canada. SANDLOTT also sanctions many travel leagues that send league or tournament winners to the SANDLOTT World Championships.

In order to cover the entire Deep South Region, Mickey has put together a team of outstanding tournament directors from some of the top organizations in the country. The team includes Chris Snopek and Cecil Wells in Jackson, MS (Performance Sports Academy), Bill Flowers (Memphis Tigers), Todd Buster (NOLA Baseball), Greg Barnett and Dennis Lemming (USA Playmaker Sports), Andy Cook (Memphis Baseball Academy), and Monty McMullen (Golden Spikes Baseball).

The Super25 tournament series will bring the Perfect Game experience to new regions and age groups.  Super25 will promote baseball as a team sport by requiring consistent rosters from qualifying events through regional tournaments and, ultimately, the Perfect Game Super25 National Championships.
