Series of the week: LSU at Arkansas

Kendall Rogers

Arkansas and LSU are playing impressive brands of baseball at exactly the right time.

The Razorbacks got off to a slow start this spring, and began Southeastern Conference play with a tough home series loss to Ole Miss. However, the Hogs have been significantly better since that series and now have a chance to make a huge statement at home against an LSU team that is off to the best start in program history.

While the LSU offense is one of the nation's best with a .322 batting average, there's no doubt its sluggers will be mightily tested this weekend against a stout Arkansas pitching staff, which enters the weekend with a 1.56 ERA.

As part of our new PG Series of the Week feature, we breakdown how the Hogs and Tigers matchup in terms of starting pitching, bullpen, offense and defense, while we also touch on some of the top MLB draft prospects to follow this weekend. Also interesting, we layout what opposing coaches are saying about the Hogs and Tigers.
