Jonah Wesely has been one of the most dominant high school pitchers in the country over the past two springs. As a sophomore in 2011, he went 10-1, 1.17, striking out 109 hitters in 59 innings, allowing only 21 hits. For some reason, he worked out of the bullpen for part of his junior season last year, but still went 5-1, 0.95 with 3 saves and 3 shutouts. In 37 innings, he struck out 79 batters and only allowed 6 hits.

That adds up to a record of 15-2, an ERA just over 1.00 and 188 strikeouts in 96 innings with only 27 hits allowed. You really can’t perform much better than that.
