PG Top 50: Wild finish indeed

Florida enters NCAA Super Regional play ranked exactly where it was before the 2012 season began -- as the nation's top-ranked team in the Perfect Game Top 50 rankings.

The Gators hope to live up to expectations this weekend, prepping themselves for a potential run to the program's first national title next week in College World Series.

Several teams are hot on the Gators' heels, such as LSU, Florida State, UCLA and Arizona. All four of those teams also are expected to be in Omaha next week, potentially setting the stage for a fantastic two weeks in Omaha.

The final PG Top 50 rankings will be released following the CWS.

DII/DIII/NAIA Rankings Update: April 17
While there was a lot of action across the country last week, the big news out of the small school divisions occurred in the NAIA.

Chase Morgan of Louisiana was outstanding on the mound as he struck out 11 over 8 while Tyler Bishop hit for the cycle for Omaha this past weekend.
