PG High School Baseball Road Trip coverage schedule:

April 6- Anaheim Lions tournament – Anaheim, CA

This is a very strong tournament with 58 teams in the field, which is highlighted by nationally ranked J Serra (CA) and Mater Dei (CA). PG will cover several games on the final day based upon the top matchups and will cover the championship game (7:30 PST) at Glover Stadium.

April 7- La Jolla @ Cathedral Catholic- San Diego, CA

Cathedral Catholic features several high level prospects in 2-way star Daniel Camarena, 2013 top prospects Stephen Gonsalves and Michael Martin along with several other highly talented ballplayers. The Dons are currently 5-1 and ranked 12th in the Pacific Region.

April 8- Edison @ Fountain Valley- Fountain Valley, CA

The top ranked team in the Pacific Region, Edison (Huntington Beach) features a loaded roster with a pair of 2010 Aflac All-Americans in LHP Henry Owens and SS Christian Lopes. Lopes and his brother, Timmy, form one of the top double play combinations in the country and they feature even more star power in OF Eric Snyder. Edison has established itself in the conversation for best team in America.

April 9- Sierra Vista @ Bishop Gorman – Las Vegas, NV

Perennial powerhouse Bishop Gorman has won five straight Nevada State Championships and features several big time prospects. Sierra Vista, led by SS Jake Hager, is currently ranked 37th in the nation and are off to an 11-0 start to the season. This matchup could very well be a preview of the 4A title game.

April 11- Willow Canyon @ Boulder Creek – Surprise, AZ

Boulder Creek has been playing great baseball through the early season, winning five of their past six and currently sit 18-4 on the season. The Jaguars are ranked 44th in the nation and feature a pair of exciting prospects in the Real brothers, Alex and David.

April 12- Franklin @ Bel Air – El Paso, TX

Franklin features 2010 Aflac All-American Ricardo Jacquez and a promising 2013 prospect in Tavo Rodriguez. The Panthers are currently 19-2 on the year and look like one of the best teams in west Texas.

April 13- Roosevelt @ Madison – San Antonio, TX

Madison features one of the best 2012 players in the state of Texas in SS/RHP Tyler Gonzales, who is a high level 2-way prospect committed to USC.

April 14- St. Thomas Catholic @ St. Pius X – Houston, TX

A matchup of the two best teams in the TAPPS league matchup in a game loaded with prospects. This will be the fourth and final regular season matchup between the schools, with the home team having won each of the first two meetings. They will face one another on April 5th before this late season matchup, which will likely have major postseason implications. These teams met in the state semi-finals last year during St. Thomas’ championship run. This season St. Pius looks to be the favorite with a record of 23-3-1.

April 15- Owasso @ Broken Arrow – Owasso, OK

Arguably the biggest game of the entire high school season, anywhere in the nation sees two teams ranked in the top ten nationally square off. Each team features an elite RHP prospect; Dylan Bundy of Owasso and Archie Bradley of Broken Arrow. If they face one another on the mound it will draw a massive crowd of MLB decision makers. There is a lot at stake in this matchup in addition to the playoff race.

April 16- Gardner Edgerton vs Mill Valley – Lenexa, KS

The top prospect in the Sunflower State, Bubba Starling faces solid competition in Mill Valley (currently 3-0). Starling, a 2-sport commit to Nebraska (also high level QB) is ranked in the top 10 in the nation and is expected to be a high draft pick come June.
