TOP-10 LEFTHANDED PITCHING PROSPECTS

LAKELAND, Fla.--From what I’ve seen, it’s a comparatively weak year for prep lefties. No one jumps out as a 1st-round pick at the moment though there is a handful with the potential to emerge as such.

There weren’t any true power left arms in Lakeland. Jessie Biddle (ranked #1) was the only one who threw with consistently average (MLB) velocity for his entire outing while Jeff Harvill (#2) came close. The rest of the group would qualify as finesse pitchers in the present, but several of them have enough projection to become 90+ MPH guys when they’re fully mature.

The rankings are based on the evaluations of both myself and Perfect Game scout Cliff Pastornicky. The listed heights and weights are as measured by the Major League Scouting Bureau over the weekend:
