Kyle Dentmon
C - 2018 - Rockledge, FL
Air Force
Had impressive weekend the athletic 6 foot, 185lb. catcher finished in the top two for catcher’s workouts in both velocity (77) and pop time (1.88). Showed good arm strength and overall quickness. Had a great round of batting practice and showed his hit tools in game with a deep triple to left center on Sunday.
Shane Marshall
C - 2018 - Naples, FL
Georgia
Probably the most impressive two innings of the weekend, Marshall demonstrated precise command of his fastball and curveball. Sitting 84-86 and touching 87 with his fastball he worked all aspects of the strike zone, getting ahead of hitters before finishing with a sharp 12/6 curveball. The curveball shows depth and late dive straight down. Also mixed in a slurve at 75 miles per hour that’s developing in to an effective part of his arsenal. Downhill plane with good command, had four strikeouts on the day in two innings of work.
Chris Seymour
RHP - 2018 - Boynton Beach, FL
Florida Gulf Coast
Straight over the top release point and throws with a lot of effort. Maintained his velocity 85-88 fastball, effectively wild in a positive way, worked hard inside and hitters looked uncomfortable in the box against him. Threw a 12/6 curveball at 68 and changeup at 75. Showed advanced movements at the plate, worked up to the ball generating bat speed and strength for a great round of batting practice. Also threw 86 across the outfield.
Joel Brewer
OF - 2018 - Tampa, FL
South Carolina
Stands out with his advanced physical maturity, ran a 6.71 60 and went 2-4 with a double, a single, and a stolen base on Saturday. Brewer keeps it simple at the plate, drives the ball with ease, barrels up the ball consistency. Brewer showed a fluid bat path with a simple approach at the plate.
Brandon Auerbach
2B - 2018 - Parkland, FL
South Alabama
Ran a 6.91 60, runs the bases with ease and instincts. Took a great round of infield displaying good reads on a tough turf and showing advanced actions. At the plate, he stands with an open stance resting the barrel comfortably on his shoulder, gets to strong torqued launch position, and swings on plane with bat speed.
Alec Villanueva
2B - 2018 - Oakland Park, FL
Saint Leo
Arguably the best infield showcase for the underclass, Alec impressed with great footwork to the ball, got every hop he wanted and had quick transfers while throwing 85 across the diamond. Showed his hit-ability in game by recording a double, hands load up to strong launch and creates torque at stride-foot landing, swinging with bat speed.
Charlie Von Werne
1B - 2018 - Royal Palm Beach, FL
Lehigh
The projectable two-way player shows signs of developing athleticism and room to fill on his frame. Recorded three hits on the weekend with two doubles, driving the ball deep to left center field he short hopped the fence on Sunday. Shows good actions at the plate setting himself up mechanically to drive the ball in the air, works on plane with barrel speed and strength.
Max Munroe
RHP - 2018 - Boston, FL
Uncommitted
Lean and wiry frame, stiff movements on the mound but made it work. Low ¾ release point that affected the fastball with arm side run and sink at 79-83. Threw three pitches for strikes; change up at 72 had same actions as fastball but takes more off for better movement and a firm 10/5 slider at 73 stayed away with it. Lots of swing and miss. Kept hitters off balance commanding all three pitches in the zone for strikes and swing and miss.
Tyler Everett
C - 2018 - Miami, FL
Uncommitted
Tons of barrel whip and raw power are what make Everett stand out the most. His consistent hard, pull side contact in games made him a tough out and was some of the loudest contact we heard all weekend.
Matthew Powell
C - 2019 - Fort Myers, FL
Florida
Has advanced actions at the plate with even more power potential as he continues to mature. His current ability to drive the baseball gap to gap may turn into long ball power. His catching actions are quick and should continue to develop nicely.
Garrett Manous
OF - 2019 - Munster, IN
Indiana
Manous has blazing speed that really stands out in the field and when on the base paths. He posted a 6.65 sixty yard dash which proved to be the best for all grad years of the Underclass event.
Michael Sutherland
OF - 2019 - Windermere, FL
West Virginia Wesleyan
He showed rhythm at the plate and produced several line drives to all fields with great bat speed. As his other tools continue to get stronger, Sutherland projects well.
Christian Pregent
C - 2019 - Daytona Beach, FL
Stetson
Pregnet's hit tool is by far his loudest at this time with his ability to hit the baseball with authority to the gaps. He works with a simple load and stride into contact staying strong in his launch position through his lower half. Was also able to get extension through the baseball and clear his hips to an optimal hitting position.
Ryan McCauley
RHP - 2020 - New Port Richey, FL
Palm Beach State
When looking at McCauley, one would not think he is a 2020 grad based on his current physicality and stature. He showed arm strength defensively and on the mound throwing a velocity up to 84 mph. His arm could be even stronger the next time we see him and is a prospect to watch closely over the next few years.
Dylan Crews
OF - 2020 - Longwood, FL
Louisiana State
Crews shows a ton of athleticism and barrel skills for his age, could be a very high end guy to follow closely over the next few years.
Kyle Tako
OF - 2021 - Hollywood, FL
Clemson
Not even in high school yet, Tako already has great size and athleticism that makes him stand out. At the plate he already flashes power, good leverage, and bat speed.
