401. Spencer Johnson, of, Missouri State (SR)
R-R, 6-4/225, Springfield, Mo.
Previously Drafted: Never Drafted

Johnson has always had big raw power and this year it all began to translate into games. The physical senior exploded for a career-high 16 homers after hitting nine in the previous three seasons combined. He doesn’t have the strongest throwing arm, so he’s likely limited to left field or perhaps first base at the next level, but seeing the power play consistently this season should help his cause as a senior sign in the later rounds for organizations looking for some thump from the right side.

402. Lucas Krull, lhp, Shawnee HS
L-L, 6-7/220, Shawnee, Kan.
College Commitment: Arkansas

Krull entered the spring as one of the more intriguing under-the-radar high school pitching prospects in the country and was almost assured of heavy scouting attention it warranted due to the crowds of national scouts flocking to Kansas to see the likes of Riley Pint, Joey Wentz and others. While Krull has flashed his 91 mph arm strength and his tall and rangy athleticism, he has struggled with his mechanics and repeating his arm action and subsequently finding the strike zone. At 6-foot-7, 220-pounds with a loose and easy arm, Krull has all the physical tools to become a high level draft prospect after three years at Arkansas.

403. J.D. Busfield, rhp, Loyola Marymount (JR)
R-R, 6-7/230, Valencia, Calif.
Previously Drafted: Never Drafted

You certainly aren’t going to miss J.D. Busfield as all 6-foot-7 of him walks to the mound. The delivery is rather balanced and fluid for a player of his size and he shows a full arm action through the back which helps produce a steady 90-94 mph fastball with late sinking life down in the zone. His slider is a sound second offering in the 79-83 mph range which he can command to his arm side, though his changeup may be the best of the secondaries in the low-80s with late tumbling life. The command of all three pitches is there as evidenced by just 10 walks in almost 90 innings this spring though he’s also allowed more than a hit per inning, something that will need to be monitored moving forward.

404. Travis Hosterman, lhp, Hagerty HS
L-L, 6-2/190, Oviedo, Fla.
College Commitment: Central Florida

Hosterman has gradually improved over the last year from a mid-80s southpaw with a mid-70s breaking ball to an 88-92 mph thrower with a comparable improvement in power and spin on his curveball. He had a strong spring with Hagerty High School and has the long and loose athletic body that scouts like to project as another step forward in the future.

405. Cameron Planck, rhp, Rowan County HS
R-R, 6-4/205, Morehead, Ky.
College Commitment: Louisville

Planck has been a dominant performer in the Kentucky high school ranks for three years, although he didn't have much of a national resume before this spring. He has a very strong arm as a primary fastball pitcher, frequently reaching 95 mph this spring and running up impressive strike out totals. Scouts are concerned about Planck's still-developing secondary pitches, as he throws a soft curveball and a changeup with some effort in his delivery.
