Cornelio has been coming to Perfect Game events since he was an eighth grade shortstop throwing in the mid-70s from the mound and has improved every year since. The still projectable athlete works in the 90-94 mph range with an outstanding power curveball in the upper-70s and a developing changeup. He went 9-0, 0.91 with 85 strikeouts in 53 innings for Pine Creek High School this spring and also hit .468-4-21 with walks in 24 games.
