Sheffield is the brother of 2012 Perfect Game All-American Jordan Sheffield, although the two are very different athletes. Most notably, Justus is a left-hander. Sheffield can show power stuff, including a fastball that has reached 92-93 mph and even higher at times, but over the past year has evolved into a four-pitch southpaw who has advanced command and pitchability for his age. His best secondary pitch is an upper-70s curveball with hard spin and bite, and his changeup is quickly developing into another plus offering.
